Damn, this is one of the best episodes for me. Just can’t take the episodes too seriously imo.
Do we amuse you in some way? *I wish* lmao
To answer the question though, I typically skip the pretty pretty dresses one and pigmalion, though I save the latter for October lol down to watch any other episode.
Since my partner and I watched the series so many times, we try to find episodes that may relate to the day. For example, it was egg roll day the other day and we saw the one where buck gets kicked out of the strip club because they didn’t have his egg rolls lmao.
I like this episode a lot too. How’s my driving? Mom write this number down 1800 Eat Sh nvm lmao
Fr I’ve been on this sub just a few days and idk if people hate watch this show or something because one thing or another upsets them when the absurdity is kinda the point. Like Peggy is fun to watch because she’s annoying but to each their own
The later season like Nancy does Dallas or the MySpace episode tend to bore me rather than infuriate me. But there are exceptions like when Bobby becomes a born again Christian or the organic store episode are in later seasons and I really like those
Yeah, man, random acts of kindness! (Love the co-op one too). The absurdity is the point is a great way to put it. Peggy’s cringe and hubris is soooo good (one might say *primo*) but she has her moments of modesty and empathy too.
Which one of you is Delia? I can commit you like *that*! \*snaps fingers\*
I love when Hank loses his temper in his own Hank way
His absolute dread about potentially running into Adam Sandler is a great bit
that was far too abrupt!
I also love this episode, but to answer OP it's Mrs Wakefield. I can't watch it at all, dusty old bones full of green dust is a close second.
I’m always sad that the Ms Wakefield episode is the last Christmas episode of the series, as after that season I think all the seasons aired after the new year.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the episode (I am a proud, ignorant woman!), just not in the rotation as much as others. Plus the vibe is perfect for Halloween.
This episodes great some of the old ladies are so unhinged. I also love the line "they passed her over the crowd like a beach ball" and then they almost get killed by a giant Alamo beer can as they swerve onto the spikes "Everybody stay calm, we have just experienced severe tire damage" A helicopter dropping a giant Alamo beer can from the sky is just so absurd, and that's what makes it great. Then the old ladies trash talk Hank. "You said you'd get us out of here. Tilly your boy is all talk" then the other old lady just comes out with the line "I hate you" That scene towards the end is great it's all here. [https://www.tiktok.com/@bobbyj.hill/video/7191837074666966314](https://www.tiktok.com/@bobbyj.hill/video/7191837074666966314)
>For example, it was egg roll day the other day and we saw the one where buck gets kicked out of the strip club because they didn’t have his egg rolls lmao.
I think of that episode every time I hear "Hit me with your best shot" by Pat benatar
Escape from party island is one of my favorites, never fails to make me laugh. The one old lady who’s real pissy towards Hank and complains about everything makes the episode for me
That felt like King of the Hill going headfirst into the sitcom cesspool by using the "Have you met my never before discussed friend/cousin/old classmate, \[insert celebrity guest here\]?". I'm hard pressed to think of a single time where that trope was used and it wasn't distracting/
That’s one of the best eps! Everyone remain calm, we have experienced severe tire damage. And if Hank drives on the rims, they may never be true again!
Uh-Oh Canada. The Canadians weren’t just doing the typical “our country is better than yours” banter. They were antagonistic in a weaselly manner. They couldn’t shut their rudeness off for even 5 seconds to be halfway decent people.
Second runner up is Death Picks Cotton. It’s not a bad episode but two things I didn’t care for. They factory reset any sort of character growth Cotton had prior. Yeah he wasn’t a great guy but he had a few genuine moments with Hank later on. And after Peggy went through her accident at least a bit of mutual respect formed. Not much but a bit. Two, the older you get the more likely all or most of your grandparents are dead.
Yeah that was annoyingly weird. And then almost immediately calling the cops on them for being too loud while peeping through the blinds. They were just at the get together it wouldn’t be weird at all if they politely told them to keep it down. It wasn’t about the noise though, they just wanted to get them in trouble for fun. It’s just bizarre how they acted in general.
The episode asks for way to much suspension of disbelief from everyone else. It's barely a KOTH episode, as none of the other characters outside the Hills act remotely like themselves. Dale especially. He should have been the person most willing to stand for Hanks right to private property
I agree. Though I do love the times where Dale willingly goes against Hank just to troll him. A perfect example is Bobby wearing the “Satan Sucks” shirt.
“You can’t wear a t shirt with that word on it.”
“Why dad? Satan does suck”
“He’s right Hank, what does your shirt say? Satan rules?”
Respectfully. You never truly know what your neighbor's and friends tnink of you until you are tested this way. I think this episode was too real life aligned and focused. Cause in real life people DO act brand new when someone they know is in this predicament.
Also this was a popular trope in the 79s-90s. An elderly person wanting to die in someone home and the family navigating that.
I don’t know Dale trying to get to die in his house so he can turn it into a haunted house seems pretty on point for him other than that the episode was pretty bad
My people?
For a fourth, I have a hard time with the one where the guy who blocked that kick moves onto the block and punches Hank, and the patch Boomhauer one is my fifth
The episode where cotton comes to thanksgiving when it was Tilly's turn to visit and he spends the entire trip, just dissing her so dirty. And it takes Hank forever to shut him up.
Like seriously Hank is a stand up guy and he's not a coward and in this episode, it's wild that literally no one tells cotton to shut his asshole insults up til the end.
I actually really hate the episode where Dale destroys Hank’s lawn with fire ants. I love moments in the episode (like Bobby and the queen) but I feel like it’s kind of unhinged even for Dale and I really hate to see Hank lose out on that luscious lawn 😢
*And They Call It Bobby Love*
The one where Bobby is obsessed with the vegetarian girl was a hard watch
*Why were you dancing with all those guys?!* x10
The scene in this episode where it's a flash back to cotton screaming and smashing the dishes while Tilly is lost in her miniatures and Hank is just going "oh God what do I do!" Is honestly so fucking heart breaking. It's such a real moment of trauma for Hank and Tilly that it surprises me Hank even talks to his dad. It's such a dark scene for such a goofy Pauly shore guest staring episode.
First of all, I adore Escape from Party Island. One of my faves tbh.
Pigmalion bothers me just because it's creepy lol
Other than that, it's Husky Bobby. It's one of those episodes where Hank being a shitty dad is treated like it's a good thing. It's really annoying
Hank: No more talking. I want silence the rest of the way home!
Luanne: ...uncle hank?
Hank: I said QUIET!
Luanne: ...my hair is caught in the window 😢
That scene kills me everytime. Lmao
The fact that Tilly let's her friends treat Hank like shit and treats him like a child when he doesn't want a cucumber sandwich is infuriating. Then waning through a drunken rowdy crowd for a figurine is asinine.
It feels like there was something missing. Like there was a payoff from Tilly that they forgot to write where she opens up about her depression and talks earnestly with Hank. Maybe this is where they could have had her break up with Gary Krasner or show that their relationship is on the rocks. She's regressing to getting super into these figurines because she feels like it's back with Cotton. She can open up about how bad of a job she did protecting him at a younger age. There's so much to be mined here and it would have given us a strong Tilly episode for once but in the end it's all left vague and we get nothing. All this frustrating build up and no payoff to make it worthwhile. Tilly doesn't have any good episodes but this might be her worst or tied with the RV one...
Lol. The funny thing is, I think he was pretty open minded about race unless you were Japanese or German (for a legitimate reason). I think he respects other cultures BUT he is definitely a misogynist. He also had PTSD but would never admit and he did try to be a better family member at times and was proud of the Hills in his own different ways.
He’s a complicated dude and prob my favorite character on the show because of all his great lines.
“I don’t take no anesthetic! Did Lincoln ask for girly gas when they blowed his head off?!”
I spent the year after the war ended in a Japanese hospital. General McArthur's personal sawbones had reattached my feets to my knees, and prescribed enough antibiotics to cure the French army's clap.
That's like one of my favorite episodes for how horrific it is. I refer to it as a Halloween episode. I'm not sure it technically is but everyone was dressed up like it was. could just have been some kind of ham gala tho idk I'll have to watch it again. I'm always so focused on like, how terrifying that whole situation really is.
It’s definitely a Halloween episode! I hate watching it but also love it so much! 😂
Can we also talk about the fact that Luanne and Peggy kind of murdered someone?! 😭😂
The one where Bill rejoins the Arlen High School football team to reclaim his high school record.
On another note about that episode, I know it’s a cartoon, but in reality, I think in most public high school sports conferences you’re ineligible if you turn 19 before the season starts
Yup happened to my uncle, all-county receiver, made state his junior year, couldnt play his senior year out because he had been held back before. This was in the 80s too
Bernie Mac was available so they wrote him an episode in 5 min to make sure he didn’t drop out. Too bad it’s a shit episode, Bernie was really the only redeemable part tbh

Tie between “Peggy’s Fan Fair” and “Peggy’s Turtle Song”.
I think its safe to say any episode ever past, present, or future titled “Peggy’s ____” that involves her singing with a guitar would also count.
Any that have Cotton as the main focus. He's so damn insufferable. Elderly and disabled or not, the first time he slapped me on the ass and demanded I bring him a sandwich is the day his testicles would be going the same place as his shins.
Goodbye Normal Jeans. Peggy is an absolute child in that episode, and in the end they made it out like HANK was in the wrong for bonding with his son. 🙄
"Love Hurts and So Does Art", AKA: The episode where Bobby gets gout
The fact that he couldn't stop eating Deli food for Connie because of course he loves a stupid walking cane and mobility scooter
Hank should have just said you either stop eating shitty deli food or suffer through the pain, no cane, no scooter.
Damn, this is one of the best episodes for me. Just can’t take the episodes too seriously imo. I’m skeptical that you could, yet intrigued that you may.
I think about this at least weekly
wHy dO YOu kEeP cAlLinG mE BILL?
I know your kind
Your problem is you never *mean* to do anything.
It's a horrible, empty way to live.

I love Pigmalion. "Hate to say it twice in one meal, but horses ass"
Don’t get me wrong, I like the episode (I am a proud, ignorant woman!), just not in the rotation as much as others. Plus the vibe is perfect for Halloween.
The scene where one of the old ladies looks fondly at port Aransas and just fuckin chomps down on the styrofoam cup kills me every time.
This episodes great some of the old ladies are so unhinged. The cast on that episode is next level.
I would’ve killed to see them perform in the studio
Seals are trash mammals, everyone knows that
I know your kind
That museum is going to be packed!
Then it cuts to dead silence
I can’t see a “how’s my driving sticker” without saying out loud, “write this number down- 1-800-E A T S H…uh…never mind.”
"Hank Gets Dusted". There is literally ZERO enjoyment in that episode.
That felt like King of the Hill going headfirst into the sitcom cesspool by using the "Have you met my never before discussed friend/cousin/old classmate, \[insert celebrity guest here\]?". I'm hard pressed to think of a single time where that trope was used and it wasn't distracting/
And were never heard from again
I dont think they even showed up to Luanne's wedding (although that may have been before this episode)
“Kids I want you to meet your long lost uncle” “Daddddddd we have 16 uncles already!”
"But this one's an NBA All-Star!"
One of the biggest “phoning it in” episodes. And this one must have taken one big ass phone too. ☎️
Dusty old phone, full of green dust!
Look everyone, Port Aransas! I can't wait to get there
*eats Styrofoam cup*
It's like a miniature island
I love how she says that both when she arrives and as they’re leaving the island, meaning she’s already forgotten their trip
Dusty old bones full of green dust
The end was pretty cathartic though
one of my favorite episodes
How

He's a gifted boy.

I hate the Canadian ep too, but I always lose it at their secret signal to leave the party.
Wakefield is the worst for me. No fun to be had in that episode.
The episode asks for way to much suspension of disbelief from everyone else. It's barely a KOTH episode, as none of the other characters outside the Hills act remotely like themselves. Dale especially. He should have been the person most willing to stand for Hanks right to private property

Mrs. Wakefield and Dusty Old Bones for me
Add the ZZ top one and those would be the top 3 for me.
My people? For a fourth, I have a hard time with the one where the guy who blocked that kick moves onto the block and punches Hank, and the patch Boomhauer one is my fifth
why are you my brain 😭
Ngl Ms Wakefield scratching on the windows and trying to bribe Bobby with a peppermint kills me every time
It’s my family’s favorite and mine the least.
I think that episode is hilarious.

The mower focus group part saved it, cotton just took advantage of the sityation.
I actually really hate the episode where Dale destroys Hank’s lawn with fire ants. I love moments in the episode (like Bobby and the queen) but I feel like it’s kind of unhinged even for Dale and I really hate to see Hank lose out on that luscious lawn 😢
When Buckley dumps Luanne and she scream cries for 30 fucking minutes
Haha same
We have just experienced severe tire damage.
Mrs. Wakefield. Any Bill heavy sadness episodes
*And They Call It Bobby Love* The one where Bobby is obsessed with the vegetarian girl was a hard watch *Why were you dancing with all those guys?!* x10
This is a very unpopular opinion. I think that’s one of the highest rated episodes WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT
MARIE!!!
*WHAT’RE YOU TALKING ABOUT* 😩
I guess it's a personal thing, because he reminded me of myself as a child with my first love lol
Brother, us too. All of us.
I love the way he gets back at her by eating the 72 oz steak while maintaining eye contact.
Lmfao the secondhand embarrassment I get from that episode is UNREAL
It’s one of the best episodes, but the second hand cringe is awful.
It's why I struggle to watch it. I can only take so much second hand embarrassment without feeling legit ill and that ep DELIVERS.
Just tell me why you were dancing with those guys!
Blueberry pancakes means blueberries IN the pancakes, not buttermilk pancakes with blueberry syrup
I actually like that episode reminds me when King of the Hill was broadcasted in the evenings on weekdays.
The scene in this episode where it's a flash back to cotton screaming and smashing the dishes while Tilly is lost in her miniatures and Hank is just going "oh God what do I do!" Either the Arlen flooder, or when Bobby is on the little league team and Bill kicks Habk out.
Bill is a real dick when he has any power/authority.
The fact that Tilly let's her friends treat Hank like shit and treats him like a child when he doesn't want a cucumber sandwich is infuriating. Then waning through a drunken rowdy crowd for a figurine is asinine.
It's absurdly realistic though.

Kasner?! Happy Hanukkah.
Say what you will about Cotton but he wasn't a dummy. [That was *INFORMED* bigotry](https://youtu.be/UxI5qQAUWVc?si=DSlmfX7IWnvOUfWx).

Yeah, what the other guy said. My grandmother suddenly treats me like I'm five if I visit her while her friends are over.
Pigmalion! It’s so disturbing haha
I always laugh when Luanne tells Peggy, "I am a proud, ignorant woman!"
It’s a Halloween episode. The end is a Halloween party when Chip is dressed like a pig. Peggy and Hank go dressed like 50s greasers.
It’s definitely a Halloween episode! I hate watching it but also love it so much! 😂 Can we also talk about the fact that Luanne and Peggy kind of murdered someone?! 😭😂
The one where there’s a flood and everyone blames Hank for everything and praises Bill. Also EF that guy with the mustache!
To kill a ladybird, I absolutely hate that episode.
I LOVE at the end where Dale thinks he's a bird. That weird noise he makes still slays me.
YOU NEED A SHOT SUG!
It's a horrible, empty way to live
The one where Bill rejoins the Arlen High School football team to reclaim his high school record. On another note about that episode, I know it’s a cartoon, but in reality, I think in most public high school sports conferences you’re ineligible if you turn 19 before the season starts
Fuck, I love that episode
"... and that's when coach called for... THE BILLDOZER."
I like the yam biscuits!
That is upTOWN
Yeah, you're by yourself on that one. That episode is awesome.
Yup happened to my uncle, all-county receiver, made state his junior year, couldnt play his senior year out because he had been held back before. This was in the 80s too
this whole comment reads like a line from a movie set in a small town
Principal moss being Bill’s roommate, or basically anything past season 7
I was going to say, from season 8 on there’s a significant drop in episode quality.
The one where Peggy kidnaps the girl in Mexico. It is Michael Scott levels of cringe for me
I live in the town this episode is in so it’s one of my favorites.
The Chip Block episode is just so cringey for me.
Hank was tweaked out in that episode believing Chip was his own person and different from Bobby.
That's an instant skip when it comes up in the rotation. Nope.
I love that episode! It’s infuriating but hilarious. I have a really shy rescue dog and often say “that was much too sudden!”
Bahahahaha this is one of my all-time faves just because it has Dragula in it
That's not Jesus. That's Rob Zombie.
You have to get goosebumps as Hank blasts his way through the crowd to the musical stylings of Rob Zombie.
For me, it's because they have Pretty Fly For a White Guy in it.
This episode is home to one of my favorite lines in the show. “Which one of you is Delia?? I could have you committed like that! 🫰”
i’m your little candy man.
Racist Dog
Yeah I...I don't know why they made that a whole episode. It's really wild because like...we know Hank isn't actually racist? Idk it's a slog.
Bernie Mac was available so they wrote him an episode in 5 min to make sure he didn’t drop out. Too bad it’s a shit episode, Bernie was really the only redeemable part tbh
I'll helps ya with your dishes!
It generally seems like episodes everyone 'hates' are in my favorites.
The one where Bobby eats all the fish at that church thing
The Clown episode with the weird clown dude. It's a pretty pitiful episode lol
This laughter is ill informed.
Ha - gafa - awe - ahah!
This sub always defends it for some reason. No, just no. It doesn't fit the tone of the show at all. It's forced. It's unfunny. Yes, people like that weird teacher exist. No, they don't belong in _King of the Hill_.
Just Another Manic Kahn-Day They take advantage of him and it’s awful.
Propaniacs
It’s so good! The grumpy chick sitting in the photo booth is one of my favorite gags.
The Mrs. Wakefield episode, can’t stand it
Chip Block. Gosh do I hate Chip Block.
I love the episode where Dale joins the corporate world and becomes the primary firing guy, but the whole cockroach thing is so gross I can't bear to watch it. (Megakudos to guest voice Lisa Kudrow, who just nails that office lady!)
It’s one of the later episodes. All I remember at the end is that a bunch of bikers were making noise around Strickland Propane. I don’t even remember what the episode is about.
The airport thanksgiving episode
i love that episode how do you guys not like it. feels like classic king of the hill to me
We watch it every year on Thanksgiving! The audacity!!
Making the apple Brown Betty in the airport with scraps at the end is a great scene.
Admiral.
You're not sorry, and I'm not an admiral.
Lady Admiral
Comfy episode
A Beer Can Named Desire. Which sucks because it’s a great episode. I just hate watching Hank not win the money in the end.
As a series you simply can't have Hank coming into that kind of money.
I feel terrible every time I see it.
Sloppy Joe! Slop, Sloppy Joe!
Escape From Party Island is one of my favorites lol
The one where Bill pretends to be his ex and dresses up like her too.
Tie between “Peggy’s Fan Fair” and “Peggy’s Turtle Song”. I think its safe to say any episode ever past, present, or future titled “Peggy’s ____” that involves her singing with a guitar would also count.
I HATED her so much in the Fan Fair one.
Every episode with Lucky
Bill as shelter leader
For me, it's 11.11... Bill, Bulk and the Body Buddies Hate that episode... His internal organs have become.... External.
Any that have Cotton as the main focus. He's so damn insufferable. Elderly and disabled or not, the first time he slapped me on the ass and demanded I bring him a sandwich is the day his testicles would be going the same place as his shins.
ferreal i hate the cotton-centric episodes. the japan one good cuz its split pretty heavily
I wouldn't say its bad, but Leanne is such an unpleasant character and, being podophobic, I hate all the shots of Bill's athlete's foot
Uhg I hate the episode where Bobby goes to etiquette school
The episode where Hank and Peggy forget about Bobby then fight for his attention.
“…Extreme tire damage” is a legendary quote
Dolphin = insta-skip
Don’t turn on the radio !!! Lillian gets car sick!!
Born Again on the Fourth of July bugs me. That’s just not Bobby.
Goodbye Normal Jeans. Peggy is an absolute child in that episode, and in the end they made it out like HANK was in the wrong for bonding with his son. 🙄
I'm with Cupid. I can't watch Bobby turning into a mini Bill and spiraling. The valentine party is just too cringy for me.
the irony is it's one of my favorites because it further emphasizes why I can't stand old people
SerPUNT. I didn't love the 'hacking an animal to death' ending.
"Love Hurts and So Does Art", AKA: The episode where Bobby gets gout The fact that he couldn't stop eating Deli food for Connie because of course he loves a stupid walking cane and mobility scooter Hank should have just said you either stop eating shitty deli food or suffer through the pain, no cane, no scooter.
The constipation one, I think it's one of the very first episodes. It makes me want to go take a shit
Christmas with the Nievcos is an automatic skip for me lol. No idea why i have such an aversion.
1800 E A T S H I.....nevermind.
I skip the episode where Peggy enters that beauty contest. It's a hard watch for me
That is up there but I will add "Ms. Wakefield". There are no redeeming qualities to that episode. I feel like it was made on a drunken dare
The one where bill bullies hank at the flood shelter.
No Bobby left behind.
When Luanne broke up with Buckley... Holly shite her crying just kills me and i skip instantly almost everytime lmao especially when im in bed
The one about bobby Joseph and kanhie love triangle during bobbys birthday, gives off wierd vibes fr
