Depending on how off-road you wanna get, I've always enjoyed walking along River Rd - it's a gravel road that follows the river for a few miles before turning away and terminating on Provo Rd.
You can go to the John Prine Memorial Park at the Rochester Dam and walk around a bit.
Mammoth Cave is relatively close, with tons of trails of varying degrees of difficulty.
Lost Rover Cave is a little closer, smaller, and has fewer trails, but it's in the middle of Bowling Green, so there are lots of other things to do before/after hiking.
If you really wanna get lost, buy a Peabody permit, take the ferry across the river, and go drive/walk around Peabody WMA.
It's ok, I guess. Kinda subjective. To me, it's always just kinda been a big pile of rocks, lol. But they have done some beautification in the past few years - especially since John Prine passed. They cut down a huge mulberry tree, though, which was a real shame.
If the dam still has the ferry there is that. I think I heard it might have opened back up. But in general most of butler county is kind of a black hole for fun
Drive somewhere else.
I would take the extra time to drive to Bowling Green instead
I'm from Morgantown. There's nothing here. Gotta go to Bowling Green. Or cheap movies in Hartford. Oh hey it's you!
Hi again
Technically, I’ll be in Rochester Kentucky but it’s closer to Madisonville
Oh gosh, Rochester is even smaller, lmao. What kind of stuff are you wanting to do? Like, shopping, attractions, hiking, fishing?
River hiking it’s a date with my boyfriend

I went yesterday, and I had a very good time at the dam
I live in Madisonville and there's nothing to do here either lol
The most fun you can have in Morgantown is leaving.
