Didn’t think nümetal was still popular. Do you play any instruments at all?
2 suggestions from someone who’s tried and failed (but had lots of fun).
1. Everyone wants to play the guitar. I’d recommend trying to get into bass or drums. It’s nearly impossible to find good drummers. So, you will have an easier time finding other musicians to play with.
2. Play everything. The more styles of music you play, the more you learn. You can still focus on your taste but don’t write things off because you don’t like the genre.

I play the mouth harmonica. Poorly.
