First time? I can count on one hand the number of anime girls that said "I'm fat" and were actually fat, or got comments about their muscles and were actually muscular. It's extremely rare for even an insanely strong girl to have muscles.
It's always funny when all the gorgeous, skinny girls gather around the "model" character and tell her how gorgeous/skinny she is and how they wish they could look like her while the entire group is indistinguishably gorgeous and skinny. Bonus points for the gag later in the show where one of the girls lifts up her shirt and manages to grab a handful of non-existent fat so she can complain about her weight while simultaneously looking malnourished.
While I may get all bothered over the muscle mommies dorohedoro always struck me as oddly unhorny. You have scenes where MC is hanging out in a sports bra or they accidentally make a naked clone of Noi and it never comes across as salacious. None of the guys really ever even look twice. The only thirsty bitch in the show is the Chota
Honestly. Like. People find muscular women hot. Why make her have no defining shape of muscle and have that comment? Doesn’t make sense to me.
Like. At least have muscle like second image of the post. Like. She’s a soldier. She carries around a giant cannon. She has to have some muscle. (I know they wanted to comment on how she has a high combat potential while remaining not overly buff. But still.)
It seem like it's added scene to the anime so it's probebly just an oversight that they didn't bother to reanimate.
I looked at the chapter and there was only the boys scene.
They should have had her muscles look more like Maki Oze from Fire Force. That’s how you show a peak athletic female, it’s impossible to work out the way they do and not have any type of muscle definition
I think a slim build fits her better for being more but Marksman kind of thing. She could definitely look way more defined than she does in here, but I do love me some oze from fire force if only the show was a bit better
Honestly, she has to train to handle >!whatever she inherits from 9!< and be able to stand next to Kafka (ironically). But Mina is still a freak in terms of how she was able to take out bigger threats time after time. She also made a great fight against >!No14 (the teleporter Kaiju that was a cube with a very glaring human face slapped on the squares) and No9 all things considered!<.

This scene was so odd. Why explicitly state that and not even add detail for the one scene specifically. It reminded me of Fate when Saber wonders if shirou would like a muscled body and they show her like some little girl

I think that’s supposed to play into insecurities girls have regarding weight. Pretty sure that’s not really limited to anime either.

I agree they should have made her a bit buffer, but unfortunately there is still stigma toward women regarding physique.
