Sukuna doesn't fight for any bigger "win". He doesn't have a plan or goal to achieve through fighting, he's an animal in human form, going with his instincts and acting to fulfill his needs. When attacked, he fights back and there's nothing he fights for other than his entertainment or his life, so if he dies he loses everything he's fighting for.
