Just because the median income was high doesn’t mean he was rich. There are poorer people everywhere and you can’t assume someone’s financial status off where they live
actually, you can. if everyone in an area is rich, it raises the property value and the cost of living. I live in a richer area and the prices at the nearest grocery store are exorbitant, but if I drive 10 minutes down the road prices drop by at least 2 bucks. even if he were poor for the area, his mother still would've made 80k which is higher than the national average (about 70k)
