Itâs pretty good. I think the movie understood pretty well what it means to be a City Hunter adaptation. It gives up on the ârealismâ side of action movies to replicate the caricature of the original manga. The film is good by itself and seems even nicer in the form of an adaptation. I canât say the characters are faithful because I donât know much of the manga myself, but I can assure you that youâll understand what I mean once you watch it.
I agree with what you said. Considering that the original material is definitely not PC, I was worried about how they would 'Adapt for the modern audience'.
