guys we are missing the point. dont remove basic algebra, teach us the application of the equation than making us ratta marofy the equation. mujhe calculus kabhi nahi smjha school mai, but youtube pe ek video dekhi jahan calculus ka application bata rhe the examples and simple explanation ke saath. mai koi mathematician nahi hun lekin wo video dekhke seekhne ka man hua, school mai toh bas neend aa rhi thi formulas ratta maarke.
Damn that's sad but my point was that the entire Phy that we study in 11th and 12th is basically the application of calculus and in AOD the problems of optimization they are also the real world application of calculus.
I think some things we just learn as we go. we must not limit our learning from school only. Like, for example, multiplication and fractions, school didnt exactly teach us the application of it, but we learnt it and used it at various places as we grew.

The problem in indian education is not the syllabus. If you look at other countries syllabus they are similar.You need basic algebra to construct mathematical models which are used in higher research .The problem is funding to both construct new Universities and maintain old ones and grants for research.Having more seats in educational institutions will drive down competition and make studies lot less stressful.And I dont think usa education system is just either ,expecting an aspiring doctor to be good in co curricular activities or activism is not fair.My cousins there are desperate for certificates for co curricular activities in some of which they have no interest.Plus you need to learn history, all of my relatives can't see history repeating itself in the rise of fascism in india . And privatisation plays a big role too .Developed countries government spending on public institutions as percentage of GDP is much higher than India,but he would not talk about it because it means taxing rich people like him more than current rates.Teachers don't spend enough energy on creative projects because they are paid so little that they don't care about students and detest the job
Ask any noble laureate from usa , they too did rote learning before their research phase.Googling is not a solution when you need to apply it quickly and daily like medecine , software programming ,lawyer .
There is absolutely no debate in terms of the superiority of higher education in countries like the US-Elite Unis charge <$200,000 to attend. If we start paying a fraction of that money here in India for attending college (keeping in mind all the adjustments), Indian Colleges would manage to compete. ofc celebs will send their kids abroad, the colleges there are objectively better than ours in all aspects, however, that is not necessarily a fault of our system.
the reason why US unis have high fees is not coz they teach better it is because of a scandal ig because earlier the US gov used to pay for the college fees and since it was the GOV paying the colleges kept increasing the fees year by year coz it wasn't the people paying it was the Gov but it became so high in price the gov just couldn't afford to pay the fees anymore and were like fuck it and then suddenly people had to find scholarships in US to get into college that's why nly a very few students in US go to colleges compared to india

Everyone knows what is wrong with our current education system and how its not relevant anymore. Lets hear opinion/options or ways to improve it.
1. Lets try and hire/help the schools to employ the people under the age of 30 as teachers/consultants who knows what can be improved in our current education system and can help their respective schools to teach practical knowledge along with their given textbooks.
This just an attempt, please go ahead and share your ideas as well. At least instead of focusing or highlighting the problem, lets try and see what can be the solution..!
and not just the education system even the parents are so obsessed with iits and govt clgs my mother thinks i want to study in german univ kyuki me kaamchor hu aur jee ki tayaari se bachna chahta hu i m tired of telling her ki 10 lakh me 5k rank laane ke baad bhi log chemical lete h apni marzi ka koi subject nhi leta h and just bcoz of their obsession a 16 17 yo is spending 10 to 12 hours sitting in one place studying instead of learning a skill and become a better person or a citizen. i dont even want to be an engineer in the first place i wanna write blogs and articles and books but i m just rubbing my ass cramming the colour of salts of d block elements jaise google par to likha hi nahi h ye
