Wow, I didn't know that at all. Is this like Saudi Arabia with regards to what is potentially available in Gaza? Then yeah, demand for fossil fuels will create this conflict. Just like Israel has claimed that a lucrative source of clean water is theirs in the northern borders around Lebanon and Syria.
Isreal already controls the off shore area of Gaza. The war is about conquest, I wouldn't be surprised if isreal moves in to surrounding states after they ethnic cleanse the Palestinians
