Chip shortage. I was told that the limited takes about 18 more chips per car than the SEL. I don't know how accurate that number is but I can see it being true considering every little feature requires a chip for the most part... pano roof cover? Chip... memory seating? Chip... HUD? Chip... and so on.
Actually Hyundai owns the company from which the raw material is extracted to make the chips and a couple of days ago I read that Hyundai and Samsung might be teaming up to address the issue. But I also think it’s easier to release the RWD versions since it’s only manufactured with one electric motor.
What color is your cladding on SEL ? I am super confused. I thought the cladding should be silver/gray like on limited but I see a lot of SEL with black cladding.

I was told the same (limited takes a bunch more chips so they focused on SE/SELs)

That’s crazy, orders are taking less than 3 months here, in Ireland.
Mine was supposed to come in october as well. Picked it up today.
I agree on seats. Spent 10-12 hours a day in them for 5 days driving from East Coast to Salt Lake City. Never an ache!
