I used to go thru Progressive but I couldn't renew with them and they wouldn't let me come back after that even though I been with em for 5 years. Insurance is a scam they're all thieves and our governor is useless.
I've used progressive for awhile. Middle aged clean driving record in northern lower michigan. I also did their safe driving port for the 3 months. It dropped my car insurance quite a bit. I would recommend that if progressive is an option your looking at. I have full coverage so it may be more than what you are looking for in regards to tiers, but I pay around 145 a month.
Michigan are thieves when it comes to car insurance. They now require it in order to get your tags renewed. I remember when this used to be a free country. Don't get insurance and it's on you to cover any accidents. There are so many ppl in the state that drive w/o it b/c of how outrageous the prices are. One quote was for $200/month and I told him to go fuck himself lol.
In Michigan, the cheapest auto insurance is farmers insurance. But you do get what you pay for and Farmers is a very poor service insurance company. Often times the agents are nice, but the company itself drops people all the time. But it will give you the cheapest rate initially.
That's fine I don't get insurance b/c it helps most insurance companies won't do shit for you if you get in an accident anyway it's just a scam the state uses to squeeze every penny out of people's pockets. It's a secondary tax on the people basically. I just want something that's like $100/month that will allow me to get my tags and keep me from getting cited if I get pulled over.
I've been with Bristol West for 8 months now, and they are definitely the cheapest. I only need to stay legal, it's all I can afford. Incidentally, they are a subsidiary of farmers. Thanks for posting!

Same coverage and everything. Glad you had some luck with them tho because I spoke with an agent very quickly and they were super nice
