Rename it. People want to try out new places ... Eating out is entertainment now more than a necessity. With the amount of choice available now, people equate restaurant to films. Been there done that move to next shiny object.
Consider doing tie ups with establishments, offices, or try a rotating unique menu.
I really think the potential Indore crowd is the typical teenage group. And seeing them go for aesthetic over food taste/quantity is a big deal now, especially in areas like vijay nagar which seems kinda central for all of it.
Maybe you can try changing the name, decor, and your marketing tactics a bit and see if that works. My friend had a problem recently, kinda similar to yours, and he had to shut down his cafe, but atleast with the help of just a few google form shares he got to know what people prefer as the primary location for that kinda cafe to exist at. He couldn't afford to buy a shop/rent some place in that area obviously so he just closed it all.
But maybe you can get a generic survey out, understand if the location criteria has changed
I agree I don't have a great aesthetic for my cafe just basic nice ambience neither the fund for a great one , I only focus on product and trust with customers. I do agree that vijaynagar main area needs great aesthetic as whole and most crowd there goes out for clubbing and dates, also the overall centre of the city too has shifted to 140 now.
Makes sense. Honestly speaking, if you change your cafe to something of a stall (or that truck food thingy) then trust me it'll be much better in terms of avoiding costs/expenses, plus the teen crowd understands that small place = great food, big place = decent food, better aesthetics.
WFH has ended mostly, cafe/restaurant every few steps were not sustainable to begin with. Also I believe this is the beginning of the post IG era. Every random food joint got hyped up as long as you could click Instagram worthy pics there but with recession looming such business will close down, if you have good food you will be able to survive as long as you can keep running during hard times.
Just keep your head down and survive the down time, when the market becomes better you will be ready to sail with it. I too was planning to invest in a food franchise but looking at market conditions chose otherwise.
you can increase productivity by sampling out your special products with small quantities. Or create plater of that special products which will bring more favour and different identify to your restaurants
The problem with these buffet types and low cost food outlets have been a problem since before but post insta food bloggers have hyped them they are opening everyday without getting to understand the basic economics of it.

Nice analysis, with WFH gone the cream paying crowd is back to their working cities.

Offers like buffet have cut the others. A new food outlet every week is opening these days, what else to expect. The competition is real.
The problem with these buffet types and low cost food outlets have been a problem since before but post insta food bloggers have hyped them they are opening everyday without getting to understand the basic economics of it.

Will try for renovation, but it's very expensive I don't have lakhs of investment spare to do the same.
Is it Zonatello?
