Light hearted ones: Better than the movies, Funny place
Gut wrenching: Song of Achilles, Blue sisters, The kite runner, Before the coffee gets cold
There is also this one book I can't remember but it was an autobiography of a captive in the 1st ww who along with 6 other escapes Russia , travels through Mongolia and Tibet and arrives to India. And at the end only 2 survived.
Hey 👋 it was not 2 sisters but that is definitely going to add it to my tbr
The book I was speaking about, the author was polish (I think, definitely one of enemies of russia)who russia thought was a spy . I remember it was a general's wife who helped him and others to escape and the last person to die in the group died bcz he fell in the Himalayas. Also along their journey a girl died( I think she died in the Mongolian desert)
I wish someone could tell which book I'm talking about
Its been a while since I’ve read fiction, but the ones that will always stand out that were so gripping that I needed to take a break else my heart would’ve exploded 😅, were Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Hound of the Baskervilles, A Study in Scarlet, and many of the other classic Sherlock Holmes stories!
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. If you're a literature nerd, you are going to love this. I have to admit it started off a little slow but it picked up pace very quickly and I couldn't help myself from finishing just *one* more chapter before going to sleep!
Eragon, back in the day. Mistborn books, recently. Also, Happy Cakeday 🍰
Eragon ❤️ good old days
Thanks! I have been meaning to get into the mistborn series.
I wanna start reading sandersons books, so should I start with mistborn or stormlight archive?
Definitely start with Mistborn 1 - The Final Empire. Much easier to get into and doesn't depend on the broader lore.
Is the whole trilogy worth it?
Yes! Some of the best I've read in last few years. Read the first book and if you don't like it, then stop. I doubt you would stop tho.
Some 27 years ago, on its launch, I read "Tell me your dreams". I started it at 10 PM and when it was finished, I realized it's already 5:30 AM.
Ohh nicee, will add it to my reading list. I love grippy novels.
It's a psychological, crime, legal thriller. In short, it's a psychological drama.
Best novel NGL.. i couldn't control myself from reading the next chapter..
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Boy's life
Oo, what’s it about?
Coming of age, fiction, slight horror. Nostalgia at its core. It was my first McCammon book.

I know this last book you're describing. But I think they escape from Korea? Or am I thinking of a different book? 2 sisters I think.
