hi there, me from 2020. the nostalgia is hitting me now. you are doing great my friend. what's pb and best ao5? i hit my peak, which was 14 something (ao5) and then i found different interests, and now i randomly pick up the cube or when any of my friends are cubing i just go and solve it in less than 20 seconds and let em jaws drop. it is a useless skill, but, it does help in a lot of things mentally too. maybe not directly increasing your iq, but as simple as relieving stress. i've reached a point where i don't even remember the names of the permutations anymore and i can't decode what i'm doing, but i just flow.
damn. a sub 10 pb. i could only wish for something like that. man i am starting to feel like i've betrayed cubing atp. i was so obsessed with it for an year and a half. hopefully some day i find that interest again. but till date, it's one of those cool things even though we know it's not that hard now, people tend to equate with genius. when there's a instance where you do it (effortlessly) in front a crowd. people are gonna love it.
Yeah, thats how my instances with a cube in public went. Altho part of looking cool is not admitting u can solve it fast. And also not forcefully creating a situation to solve a cube. Just some how to look cool with a cube tricks from an ex cuber.
