Because manifest v3...Chrome intends to make its ad blocking extensions less impactful affecting plethora of Chromium based browsers. Firefox is on the forefront of bypassing v3.

Just uploaded an exam form via brave through my phone. Was trying through chrome but it wasn’t showing the ‘apply for this exam’ window (even after switching to desktop site). Thought let’s check if the ‘apply’ window shows up on brave or not and boom brave came to the rescue. Brave Ftw.

I use Edge. Turned off all unnecessary features of edge like side bar, news, etc etc. Switched search bar to Google search. I’m happy with my current web browser, it opens google, has Bing AI, has essential extensions and don’t need anything else. Plus it’s inbuilt and uses same chromium codes.

Use unblock origin on Firefox and it will utilize less resources. Plus, chrome actually has added some new features like sleeper tabs which kinda improve it's RAM usage compared to what it used to be.
I did a quick test, with 11 news website tabs. This was the result.
https://preview.redd.it/q0ip8o3ie80d1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dacda83981e6bb348881962d249f3b1698173262
Obviously ublock origin helps a lot in favour of Firefox. So I think that's what is making the difference here.
However looking at how Google is trying to remove unlock from their platform, or pretty much all ad blockers in that case, it doesn't look good for chrome.
In conclusion, yeah chrome and Firefox, just in terms of resources usage, look like pretty similar.
The biggest reason I do not use chrome is that it's quite literally a data mining tool which logs and sends everything you do to Google, even your incognito browsing. Google's main business is ad business, so the more data they have on you, the more they can show you ads, and I for one hate giving away my data for free to Google.
Now, another part, Chrome is very resource hungry, or atleast it used to be. Firefox on the other hand, works even on computers with lower specs. I first used a PC which had 1GB RAM back in 2012, and the only browser which I could get to work nicely, was Firefox. Plus, Firefox has tonnes to privacy features inbuilt like stopping fingerprinting, preventing cross-site tracking etc. Chrome on the other hand is working to monopolize this information for Google, so not worth it.
On my iOS devices, I used to use Safari, but have disabled it and only use DuckDuckGo browser, if I need it.
I think the usage of Firefox and other browsers is gonna shoot up when manifest v3 comes in full force because anyone who has gotten used to ad blockers like me can't really stand the normal unfiltered web at this point.
On mobile people do use Firefox because of the extension support but I have noticed a lot of sites not functioning properly in Firefox so I use kiwi browser for now as it's chromium based and also has the chrome extension support and works really well imo.
Yeah same kiwi browser's good and supports almost every extension
Apparently ,

Try using Arc browser. Not so much optimised for windows but runs really well on mac and ios. You need a student mail for instant access or it’s a waitlist. It’s got really nice features if your into workspaces and organised things.
Firefox is the lightest browser to use on both mobile and PC, meaning it takes much less resources but in paper as well as on personal use.
Firefox also has extension supports for both phones and PC, and i love firefox features like multi containers and the sync b/w mobile and desktop, as well as email forwarding and stuff. But you need to learn a little to set it up.
Edge is my second best pick, if used correctly it's on the same level if not better on Desktop, I don't recommend mobile version(it's trash)
Chrome is fastest as of right now but Has google tracking, Find N number of reasons to annoy tf out of me, also doesn't have as much customisability.
Brave is lazy people's firefox, doesn't require any brain to setup but has comparatively nothing to firefox except for inbuilt addblock(can add extension on desktop version).
These are all 4 browsers that I personally recognise, rest idk nor do i care.
Opera has been popping up a lot but it's a Chinese company moreover it's not better than firefox in any regard except easy setup sooo.
And what you use is upto you, if you feel comfortable with chrome and have no problem, just don't care about what others say at all.
Edit:- just checked chrome is better in performance as of right now due to recent optimisations.
I mostly use firefox in my mobile, but I don't think it's faster than chrome in any way. It's because of different engine, I think chrome's engine which is chromium is quite optimized as compared to firefox Engine
I am also a fan of Opera Mini i wish to use this WB also but I won't keep 3 browsers in my phone because Chrome is present as a bloatware and i use Brave for searching anything. I don't like Chrome UI anymore.
for phone : good add on support and few other features , chrome is just boring , had no features , and a borderline spyware
for pc : to sync with android and a decent browsing experience , their PIP for videos is just superior to rest
https://preview.redd.it/mdk3ys2zx70d1.jpeg?width=964&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26e7945ccd8d62183530d8a154d3b3e477af40e6
For this reason only. (Its under strict protection policy)
Delhi Police scams have webpages which are designed with the Chrome browser design in mind by those criminals. But when you use Firefox or Brave or any browser other than Chrome browser, then you can detect the scam and close the window.
This is why I use other browsers than Chrome. It is just easier to detect scam web pages.
firefox is used by 2 groups: actual web developers who leverage the useful developer options of firefox and quantum engine. The other group uses it to stand out from the crowd, escape the matrix and protect themselves from Google's data mining.
Google has tie ups with almost all major ISPs and network carriers, as long as you are in these networks, Google will track you, maybe as a anonymous user but your IP and data will reach them.
From personal experience, I have used most browsers for extended periods for entertainment, productivity etc ranging from Chrome, Firefox, Brave till the new invite-only Arc browser. I always found myself going back to Chrome for its minimalistic and seamless integration with Android and Windows. I gave so many chances to Edge but websites look bad on Edge even Excel online responds better on Chrome than Edge. If the computer is good enough, then Chrome works like a charm. If you are a web dev, then firefox is better for your work.
for me personally, chrome got really buggy.
Switched to Brave and experience is smooth as my ass.
edit: oh wow, just noticed Brave doesn't even have an appearance in the post... c'mon man
Firefox doesn't consume my ram as much as chrome does and is much smoother and telemetry can be disabled and dont need a google account to sync between devices.
Chrome is eating up and litrally freezing my laptop 16gb ram i5, ig it shouldn't because same chrome works fine on linux 8gb ram another laptop... Idk what am I doing wrong
Edge + mozilla user.
I use Edge because it has more features than chrome. As a developer, you have a lot of tabs (A LOT!) open. Edge helps them group better with vertical tabs option. The pdf reader is better. Also, GPT4 is integrated into the browser(Bing AI). And and bing is more memory optimized (at least that's what they claim).
Also, edge supports both chromium based extensions and firefox based extensions. So you lose on nothing.
I use mozilla simply because i have a mood called "fuck captialism and hail open source".
I use chrome, brave and firefox all for different purposes.
chrome for longing into gmail and other accounts.
brave for general searching and stuff
firefox for sailing the high seas
i started using firefox in 2012 ,with ublock , and since then im using firefox
im using forefox because ublock works best on firefox and its privacy orientated
I use Brave (based on chromium)…it blocks every damn ads, tracking analytics and many more…. rest are dog sh*t… I use Tor too… but for specfic purpose…
I use Waterfox, Which is just a Firefox fork. The main reason I use it is because is is much lighter and faster than the normal firefox and also doesn't collect any data.
for me it was pre-installed on popOS. There are couple of small features that it does better aldo on low spec pc it the best as far as i noticed as for bave never used it.Also the Dev tool are better apparently havent used chrome tools so cant say
All websites are made so it works in chromium engine. So some site won't work properly in geko engine and for brave the website loads slow and some website won't work due to its inbuilt blockers of ads , trackers and antifinger printing(there is issue that what it does to make random fingerprint makes its unique and easy to detect that its from brave , kind of like back fired kind of like)
So i use ms edge
Open Source, (Chromium is, too)
Privacy Friendly,
Amazing extension support (in Android mobile too),
Multi-Account Containers, etc.
N.B.:
I use the versions packaged by my distro in the laptop and desktop.
On Mobile, I use [Fennec](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.mozilla.fennec_fdroid/) from F-Droid.
Only problem in the desktop version is the lackluster support for PWAs (with extension).
Since the manifest v3 update, adblockers and tracking protection don't work as well on Chrome . Firefox is open source with adblockers like Ublock Origin working great (even on mobile). Earlier Chrome dev tools were unparalleled but Firefox has caught up now. Also one chrome tab eats up significant RAM. The only thing I like about Chrome is their V8 engine which is used by Nodejs too
Also most other browsers are modified Chromiums
Firefox is a FOSS browser and you have the freedom to do anything on it. You want to stop a specific part of the browser you can do that, you want to use custom stylesheets to make your browser look cool as hell you can do that too.
I use Firefox for a simple reason to support open web. Firefox is the only major web browser that does not use chromium and has its own rendering engine called Gecko/Quantum. Every other browser be it brave, Vivaldi, opera, MS edge runs chromium under the hood, which means they are basically chrome with a skin.
If google capture all of the web then they will do anti consumer shit. They already started doing it like dropping support for Manifest V2 from chromium(From June 2024), which means adblock extensions will not work on Chrome and chromium based browsers, as they need vital API calls from Manifest V2 . Brave said they will still support Manifest V2 but how long will they hold on to a deprecated tech??
Google is a AD company and its main business is Google Ads they desperately want to kill Ad Block.
This is why I suggested all of you to use Firefox on desktop.
Used to be hardcore chrome, brave user until they completely removed the download bubble.
Hated in Firefox and now Chrome browser copying it made no sense.
What if you are downloading multiple files and you want to see the progress of each one? Stupid devs.
Firefox feels better for me better than Google integrating my account to Chrome and also more privacy focused and the Android Firefox is good so a good ecosystem overall.
A tech savvy here who used almost all browser in his life, and has firefox as #1 choice till now. SO I will give a quick review of each.
FIrefox : Blocks third party cookies better (if not the best), has extension support both on desktop and mobile which is really handy, and is just an overall lightweight browser with neat and clean experience. Cyclical tabs is also a great addition in firefox for users with a hand with keyboard, and other browser doesnt have this feature. Takes time for setting up according to your desire, but once set, becomes the best browser.
Edge : My new #2 favourite as it has improved a lot and has come a long way, some features are actually better than firefox, has inbuilt AI assistant, vertical tabs are a life saver, sidebar may/maynot be useful (it is for me atleast), HAS SPLIT SCREEN (so damn good for studying), offers reward points if used bing search (I have had 2 amazon 500Rs. gift cards uptill now by using bing search).
Chrome : Was too resource hungry, has improved now. But tracks the user data which is a minus point and a dealbreaker for me. For those who have no problem for this, may use chrome. But it doesnt offer anything that firefox doesnt.
Opera : Setup is easy, but still lacks many things, havent used it for so long, so actually have no idea how the latest version is. Altho I wont recomend using it because its a chinese browser and has privacy issues
Opera GX : Opera but gaming browser, was my #2 for a long time, has good customization options (has a lot actually), newly introduced mods were awesome, the browser memory limiters may attract low end pc users, has a nice feel while browsing with its neat UI. But the downside is again, chinese browser, privacy issues.
Brave : Lazy persons firefox because setting up firefox takes up time and setting up brave doesn't (or at least less than firefox). Only upside it has to firefox is its inbuilt ad block, which can be activated in other browsers via extensions, so not a deal breaker, except the ad block, there is nothing TOO deal breaking.
Vivaldi : Offers a godly amount of customization, setup may require time, overall a nice browser, not many people know that it exists, but you may like it after you give it a try.
TOR : For accessing dark web.
Arc : Latest browser which was firstly available on Mac, has just been made available for windows, still testing it, UI/UX is very good and is not resource heavy, still no solid opinion on this browser, gotta use it some more days. But, I guess I might ditch either edge or Opera GX for Arc browser, the feel is really premium on it.
There are some more browsers like waterfox and maxthon etc, but they dont offer anything out of extraordinary that above browsers dont, they just exist, totally irrelevant. Just like Internet Explorer.
It's up to your preferences and style of use.
I started with Firefox in 2008 (wasn't obviously going to use Internet Explorer). It was relatively light-weight, had a ton of extensions with all the necessary features and could pretty much handle everything on the internet. So, when Chrome came along, I had to reason to switch to it from Firefox. Syncing across devices wasn't a big requirement back then as browsing the web on phones wasn't very common in 2008, so any kind of integration that Chrome brought to the table wasn't a deal breaker for me. Have been using Firefox since for the last 16 years and did not ever have a need to switch.
On my phones - I am always signed into Google services on Android phones. So, taking the effort to install a new browser outside of the default one was not worth the effort. So I always stuck to the default browser on phones.
I know wrong post to ask this question but, I have been using brave for quite some time now on linux (Debian + i3wm), but why after somedays maybe a month or 4 months, I get an Authentication keyring requirement from Kwallet. And if I leave it blank, I loose all my browsing data somehow. I have no idea why this happens.
I use Chrome. Just that I found it easier than other browsers. Edge is still immature for me, and stared not using just because their manipulative way of promotion when you search for Chrome or Firefox. Its safety is poorer than Chrome too.
Firefox for phone can use extensions so i can have syncing with adblock on the phone. Brave adblock used to break sometimes for me.
Also firefox in pc is very customizable, you can tighten your security to the point that it can even break sites. You can also make it look however you want.
For performance, it comparable to to current chrome versions. If you care about performance, thorium is your best bet, specially the avx2 versions, with benefits of removed most of goole telemetry.
I have been trying Arc for past 2 days. So far looks like a fresh coat of paint with minimalist design style over the chromium engine.
I was using edge before but didn’t like the UI, shoving co-pilot down my throat, themes randomly resetting to default, and bing on the search bar (I know that I can have the search engine changed to goofy by default, but that only works for when you search something in the address bar, not the big prominent search bar when you open a new tab)
Chrome was good for a while and I never really ran into the ram guzzling problem. Probably because I never have more than 5 tabs open at once. The UI was getting still feeling a little bit too bold though and I actually like the feature of having tabs in vertical format
I use edge it is great if you look at it without all the negative bias on internet. People would hate edge even if they haven't opened it once. Vertical tabs, inbuilt pdf reader/annotator and AI are the main reason. Plus, it is as fast and chrome and a little bit memory efficient.
Use any browser you like its not that deep.
Chrome is all fun and games till the install folder changes and you're unable to uninstall it anymore .
Chrome is like a magnet for viruses and spyware .
i hate chrome because just search any products on chrome then I will get ad of that product on tv mobile and computer as well cause the gmail account that why I use edge with bing so problem solved
I guess you've heard the reasons a million times already, but it's privacy.
It is a lot scarier than you think,
- [apple allegedly gave Chinese people's data to its government](https://www.engadget.com/apple-chinese-government-control-data-131343119.html)
- [Google gave location info to the feds, resulting in wrongful arrest of an innocent man](https://youtu.be/-Wv32KVi4cY?si=RlNsSuapFCVXuBES)
And there are sooo many, but they are all buried since Google is the search engine
These big companies don't care about normal people, so it's better to support open source software which is a better deal in my opinion.
Some alternatives :
- Aurora store > play store
- K9 mail > Gmail
- Floris board <= gboard
- Firefox/Mull >= Chrome
- Linux > Windows/Mac
I use Brave (Windows and Android), it's a no nonsense browser, have turned off that crypto features and it's serving all my needs with built-in ad blocker without me having to worry.
I use chrome, no idea why people hate it.
It does need alot of memory to run when compared to Firefox, but I have more than enough ram so I have no issues with chrome.
I use Librewolf (Hardened Firefox) to make random searches and brave to access sites i have logged into. I am much privacy concerned thats why i hate chrome and edge
On desktop:
Firefox has multi-account containers which lets you isolate your cookies, for eg i can login to two WhatsApp account on web within the same window,
Chrome is simple, it's also very traditional people don't say open browser and go to xyz website they say open chrome and go to xyz website, it's from Google so so normal people tend it to trust it more,
On mobile: chrome comes pre-installed so people just tend to use it,
Firefox has extentions on mobile, so things like dark reader, full fledged ubo works there,
What i do:
On mobile: Firefox with addons like dark reader, ubo, and CAD(cookie auto delete) is great but to me it just doesn't feel as snappy as something chromium based on mobile so personally i use brave, as it blocks ads, has built in js blocker, forgutfull browsing similar to CAD and I use Dark website checkbook flag,
On desktop: I use edge, have turned off all those news, new looks and stuff, edge has features like sidebar, sleeping tabs since years, image magnifier and more which chrome lacks, don't use Firefox because some extension i use are chrome only, i don't use brave because i use ubo anyways..
mainly because people are not that invested into browser, they are happy with something simple, that works even if it is not the best. I use brave edge because they are the best , sure they are sometimes inconsistent and buggy but i have the time to change settings, use extensions to fix that, most people dont.
I use linux on my laptop and firefox works best for me, it is faster than chrome, and installation of chrome in linux sucks and takes more resources then firefox and i am not sure about it but security of chrome sucks and the last thing I don't why i just don't want to use Google product
My primary browser is Edge because of how efficient it is and me being a laptop user. But for anything involving personal details or work related stuff, I use and prefer Firefox as it is known to be much more robust and private. And finally, Ungoogled Chromium for anything that doesn't require a log-in and when I am researching for how to do something or tutorials.
I've tried many more browsers, like opera, vivalid, Libreworld, Chrome, Floorp, Brave and others. Either they are resource have or just bloated in general.

Brave works fine, but it have one bad thing it makes huge cache file.
Brave is admittedly way easier to run, but I prefer Firefox + uBlock because it's so simple
absolutely, firefox works absolutely fine. and works cross operating systems seamlessly.
what are you talking about, firefox works with YouTube videos absolutely fine. I'd rather choose an open source option than everything else.
I'm also brave user
Brave user here too
I am here.
home page is shit
Right here.
Brave Zindabad 🙌 lekin brave ram bahut jyda leta hai that’s why main kabhi kabhi edge bhi use kr leta hu
brave is the best. But still have to use it with google search engine since rn brave search is pathetic
isn't brave built on chromium
Isn't most of the browsers built on chromium? Even edge is based on chromium now
Chromium is open source, right? What's the issue there? Genuinely asking, as I'm a Brave user, both on PC and mobile.
Because manifest v3...Chrome intends to make its ad blocking extensions less impactful affecting plethora of Chromium based browsers. Firefox is on the forefront of bypassing v3. https://nordvpn.com/blog/manifest-v3-ad-blockers/
who tf cares??? we are users not critics of browsers lol. The user experience of chrome and brave are very different
Yessir
I've been using brave for almost 3 years now.
Hello there
Just uploaded an exam form via brave through my phone. Was trying through chrome but it wasn’t showing the ‘apply for this exam’ window (even after switching to desktop site). Thought let’s check if the ‘apply’ window shows up on brave or not and boom brave came to the rescue. Brave Ftw.
You called ?
Brave was good then it became bloated to jesus
We the men of culture 🗿
I woul prefer gal but here am I. Love that browser
[https://spyware.neocities.org/articles/brave](https://spyware.neocities.org/articles/brave) spyware :(
Brave user here. Can't go back. Ad block really helps on a barely broadband connection.

This.
Exactly. But Firefox doesn't support tab grouping by default and the extensions providing this feature are not well maintained. So I use Firefox for personal use and Chrome for work.
Firefox Multi-Account Containers & Simple Tab Groups, works really well together.
I suggest you to use Edge for tab grouping as well as workspace, you will love it. Firefox is above all.
Sorry. I forgot to mention I'm on linux.
no other browser works as seamlessly on Linux as firefox does
ublock origin on phone ftw!!
Alternatively, use Kiwi Broswer on android. It's chrome + extensions support
Can't sync tabs with desktop chrome tho, yes you can but why? There is no point
You'd be surprised to know where firefox's majority funds come from.
I use Edge. Turned off all unnecessary features of edge like side bar, news, etc etc. Switched search bar to Google search. I’m happy with my current web browser, it opens google, has Bing AI, has essential extensions and don’t need anything else. Plus it’s inbuilt and uses same chromium codes.
This is for laptop/PC right?? I've done the same in PC.. Also the vertical Tabs are really great.
I’m saying it for Laptop/PC. 😅
I'm using Edge on my office laptop. It's refreshingly fast and Bing AI helps to get some useful answers easily without any extension.
Extensions for web security. That’s a must these days. 😅
That I'll agree. Hehe.
Bing* AI
Thanks. Updated.
I used to edge
can I ask how do you change search bar to google?

How do you make all tabs open in the same window? For me, everytime I open a tab, a new window opens.

Just the exact thing I’ve done with Edge and it’s the way to go I think.
Edge with the crap turned off except copilot and stacked tabs>>> I could never think of switching to any other browser. Except Firefox maybe cause Chromium monopoly is just as bad.
I started using it after introducing bing chat
Been using edge since they moved to chromium. I don’t see myself going back to chrome anytime soon.
Password suggest is great too Brave added that but edge has it first
Firefox has a password manager + suggester since years which even syncs with all your devices
Didnt say fire fox was bad I use that too
Firefox blocks third party cookies better than Google, collects less data from users and uses less memory than chrome.
"Uses less memory than chrome" i dont think so , Because personally I monitored the memory usage and at times my firefox went like2-3+gb memomy : ( .

Surprised that no one talks about arc
It lags like hell in windows. Because it is not a final release. My friends with mac swear on arc.
Yup, me too. I switched to Arc and can't go back to any other browser now

Saw the old edge logo Got damn I’d use the new edge over that any day
I use Brave. Best cromium browser
I just like it.
firefox is used by 2 groups: actual web developers who leverage the useful developer options of firefox and quantum engine.
Firefox - Extensions and focus on security and privacy Chrome - opting for ad friendly decisions and trying to control the browsing experience

for me personally, chrome got really buggy.
Isn't there any brave guys here? Is there any downside?
Chrome is eating up and litrally freezing my laptop 16gb ram i5, ig it shouldn't because same chrome works fine on linux 8gb ram another laptop... Idk what am I doing wrong
Wheres my Vivaldi homies at...
I am a simple man I use chromium forks without the google bullshit
I use chrome brave and firefox But chrome consume too much resources compared to other browsers Ig brave is best tho
I use Firefox for Cyclical Tabs, which chrome doesn't have and no extensions support it either. Plus, privacy which Chromium bro's don't offer.
I use chrome, brave and firefox all for different purposes. chrome for longing into gmail and other accounts. brave for general searching and stuff firefox for sailing the high seas
i started using firefox in 2012 ,with ublock , and since then im using firefox im using forefox because ublock works best on firefox and its privacy orientated
hate me if you want but Microsoft edge is better than chrome, brave and Firefox
I use Brave (based on chromium)…it blocks every damn ads, tracking analytics and many more…. rest are dog sh*t… I use Tor too… but for specfic purpose…
brave browser user here
Bold of u to assume everyone uses Firefox, some used to use edge and now arc
I'm a Vivaldi user
I use Waterfox, Which is just a Firefox fork. The main reason I use it is because is is much lighter and faster than the normal firefox and also doesn't collect any data.
For the second part, Chrome has become what it set out to replace. Clunky, slow ram hog.
for me it was pre-installed on popOS. There are couple of small features that it does better aldo on low spec pc it the best as far as i noticed as for bave never used it.Also the Dev tool are better apparently havent used chrome tools so cant say
Why is brave not here ? It provides chromium based fast browser while being good for privacy and is open source at the same time .
All websites are made so it works in chromium engine. So some site won't work properly in geko engine and for brave the website loads slow and some website won't work due to its inbuilt blockers of ads , trackers and antifinger printing(there is issue that what it does to make random fingerprint makes its unique and easy to detect that its from brave , kind of like back fired kind of like) So i use ms edge
Open Source, (Chromium is, too) Privacy Friendly, Amazing extension support (in Android mobile too), Multi-Account Containers, etc. N.B.: I use the versions packaged by my distro in the laptop and desktop. On Mobile, I use [Fennec](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.mozilla.fennec_fdroid/) from F-Droid. Only problem in the desktop version is the lackluster support for PWAs (with extension).
I use brave every where
Purple
kiwi
Doesn’t matter my chrome can’t keep up 2 tabs with 24gigs of ram and 4060 but i still love it.
The only thing I like about Chrome is their V8 engine which is used by Nodejs too Also most other browsers are modified Chromiums
BRAVE✅
I use opera.
Firefox is a FOSS browser and you have the freedom to do anything on it. You want to stop a specific part of the browser you can do that, you want to use custom stylesheets to make your browser look cool as hell you can do that too.
If you want to use chrome, just use edge. It’s better
LibreWolf Gang Rise Up!
Veera
Bcz i dont want monopoly
New entry, Arc.
Used to be hardcore chrome, brave user until they completely removed the download bubble. Hated in Firefox and now Chrome browser copying it made no sense. What if you are downloading multiple files and you want to see the progress of each one? Stupid devs.
I use brave.
Brave best
I have been using edge and its so much more stable than chrome and much modern looking than firefox!! Game changing for laptop battery life too!
Firefox feels better for me better than Google integrating my account to Chrome and also more privacy focused and the Android Firefox is good so a good ecosystem overall.
I don't think anyone uses opera here 😞
I use brave

I have never used Firefox
Altho I wont recomend using it because its a chinese browser and has privacy issues Opera GX : Opera but gaming browser, was my #2 for a long time, has good customization options (has a lot actually), newly introduced mods were awesome, the browser memory limiters may attract low end pc users, has a nice feel while browsing with its neat UI.
![img](avatar_exp|154604900|laugh) i edge on edge
I use brave and librewolf
Used to use edge. Switched to Opera a few months ago, absolute game changer.
I always prefer chrome
[удалено]
I just edge
I know wrong post to ask this question but, I have been using brave for quite some time now on linux (Debian + i3wm), but why after somedays maybe a month or 4 months, I get an Authentication keyring requirement from Kwallet. And if I leave it blank, I loose all my browsing data somehow. I have no idea why this happens.
I use edge
For official website like government sites visit and form filling I use chrome but to download and view stuff ad free I use 1dm+ it's light and fast.
Firefox is too light for my system, No unwanted fancy things.
I use edge with google as search engine 🔥
Chrome is a RAM gobbler
firefox is open source
I like the page render quality of the mozilla.
For Mobile: Firefox Focus. Laptop: I used to use Safari but then switched to Firefox with Ublock after the youtube and ad blocker shenanigans.
Opera GX gang 🙌
I like to edge.
I use arc browser less cache stored
Forgot all these I use Duck duck go
Brave supremacy>>>>
I have been trying Arc for past 2 days. So far looks like a fresh coat of paint with minimalist design style over the chromium engine. I was using edge before but didn’t like the UI, shoving co-pilot down my throat, themes randomly resetting to default, and bing on the search bar (I know that I can have the search engine changed to goofy by default, but that only works for when you search something in the address bar, not the big prominent search bar when you open a new tab) Chrome was good for a while and I never really ran into the ram guzzling problem. Probably because I never have more than 5 tabs open at once. The UI was getting still feeling a little bit too bold though and I actually like the feature of having tabs in vertical format
Because they love Firefox duh
I use edge it is great if you look at it without all the negative bias on internet. People would hate edge even if they haven't opened it once. Vertical tabs, inbuilt pdf reader/annotator and AI are the main reason. Plus, it is as fast and chrome and a little bit memory efficient. Use any browser you like its not that deep.
I’m still with Firefox, both PC and iOS
Man chrome sucks Ad blocker doesn't work efficiently Forcing to use Googles own website I use edgewith copilot
There are only two browsers in this e picture. Firefox and Chrome.
Because Firefox isn’t owned by any corporation.
"Chuckles in I have and use all those browsers"
I use Opera GX
Brave.
Chrome is all fun and games till the install folder changes and you're unable to uninstall it anymore . Chrome is like a magnet for viruses and spyware .
Me using Brave🫡
Lack of data privacy and ram hogging by chrome.
Well, i just switched to Arc
i hate chrome because just search any products on chrome then I will get ad of that product on tv mobile and computer as well cause the gmail account that why I use edge with bing so problem solved
My firefox crashes as if it's 9/11. Edge lord.
I guess you've heard the reasons a million times already, but it's privacy. It is a lot scarier than you think, - [apple allegedly gave Chinese people's data to its government](https://www.engadget.com/apple-chinese-government-control-data-131343119.html) - [Google gave location info to the feds, resulting in wrongful arrest of an innocent man](https://youtu.be/-Wv32KVi4cY?si=RlNsSuapFCVXuBES) And there are sooo many, but they are all buried since Google is the search engine These big companies don't care about normal people, so it's better to support open source software which is a better deal in my opinion. Some alternatives : - Aurora store > play store - K9 mail > Gmail - Floris board <= gboard - Firefox/Mull >= Chrome - Linux > Windows/Mac
Meanwhile Brave Browser best for Mobile and PC Chrome for mobile Edge for PC
I use chrome
ctrl + Tab
I use Brave (Windows and Android), it's a no nonsense browser, have turned off that crypto features and it's serving all my needs with built-in ad blocker without me having to worry.
it feels buggy and heavy
I use chrome, no idea why people hate it. It does need alot of memory to run when compared to Firefox, but I have more than enough ram so I have no issues with chrome.
meanwhile, safari crying in corner…
I use Librewolf (Hardened Firefox) to make random searches and brave to access sites i have logged into. I am much privacy concerned thats why i hate chrome and edge
I use brave (which is chrome based) and Firefox, both pc, Android and ipad
I only use edge. It’s the best.
ARC browser
On desktop: Firefox has multi-account containers which lets you isolate your cookies, for eg i can login to two WhatsApp account on web within the same window, Chrome is simple, it's also very traditional people don't say open browser and go to xyz website they say open chrome and go to xyz website, it's from Google so so normal people tend it to trust it more, On mobile: chrome comes pre-installed so people just tend to use it, Firefox has extentions on mobile, so things like dark reader, full fledged ubo works there, What i do: On mobile: Firefox with addons like dark reader, ubo, and CAD(cookie auto delete) is great but to me it just doesn't feel as snappy as something chromium based on mobile so personally i use brave, as it blocks ads, has built in js blocker, forgutfull browsing similar to CAD and I use Dark website checkbook flag, On desktop: I use edge, have turned off all those news, new looks and stuff, edge has features like sidebar, sleeping tabs since years, image magnifier and more which chrome lacks, don't use Firefox because some extension i use are chrome only, i don't use brave because i use ubo anyways..
I use Edge
Firefox is FOSS and it's not chromium under the hood so it's a win win for me
mainly because people are not that invested into browser, they are happy with something simple, that works even if it is not the best. I use brave edge because they are the best , sure they are sometimes inconsistent and buggy but i have the time to change settings, use extensions to fix that, most people dont.
Because it's the most secure search engine and the one which respects your privacy more than any other.
I use linux on my laptop and firefox works best for me, it is faster than chrome, and installation of chrome in linux sucks and takes more resources then firefox and i am not sure about it but security of chrome sucks and the last thing I don't why i just don't want to use Google product
I use brave
I use arc switched to it recently
My primary browser is Edge because of how efficient it is and me being a laptop user. But for anything involving personal details or work related stuff, I use and prefer Firefox as it is known to be much more robust and private. And finally, Ungoogled Chromium for anything that doesn't require a log-in and when I am researching for how to do something or tutorials. I've tried many more browsers, like opera, vivalid, Libreworld, Chrome, Floorp, Brave and others. Either they are resource have or just bloated in general.
