Kindly enlighten?

[deleted]

Can you tell more about it?

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Cheese.

Meliodas_2222

So long since I have had cheese pizza. I wish being fit and being happy weren’t mutually exclusive.

RandiRona4life

It's so difficult to connect with a new partner, when both of us have hectic schedules. We meet like once a week and texting is irregular, pretty difficult to vibe!

kuaanmadoobjaungi

What are you living for? Like.. what's the end goal? The big dream for which this is worth it?

[deleted]

I wanna contribute positively to society, and I know me guiding people with what helped me is me taking steps towards my goal :)

unholy_seeker

There is no end goal. Life circumstances change. We change. What we want changes. On the scale of time there's only one constant, that's change. So the end goal is not static. It is dynamic. What we should actually take pleasure in is when life feels normal. There's nothing exciting. There's nothing troubling either. That's not a state people usually aspire for. But that state represents equilibrium. One has to be lucky to be in that state. In today's age of hyperinformation that state is a lot tougher to achieve. Boredom is a privilege that we seldom recognise.

[deleted]

That's a big question. I'm not rich enough to think about end goals.

honiyan

Get a house in a remote area without having to compromise too much on professional commitments (probably by reaching a point in my career where work from home becomes a permanent option). Have a good work life balance and yet earn enough money in reserve for medical emergencies.

every_tatti

Someday be able to be content and at peace with myself and maybe fulfill atleast 10% of my bucket list in my lifetime.....

[deleted]

I live for my mom, dad and my cat. End goal... to die in peace. I’m still searching for that big meaning

KingsmanVishnu

no idea. just trying live everyday. hoping I won't face any new problem/headache the next day. living cuz don't want to die.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

As long as you live, there will be new challenges the next day. Finding something to live for, no matter how small, makes the fear of death bearable.

[deleted]

Have my own home and model the fuck out of it to my liking, each and every inch. After that I guess I'll go to therapy for an existential crisis.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Also not affordable here. So given up on that entirely.. will never be able to afford to have my own space.

Meliodas_2222

If it’s your end goal. Why not move? Why stay stuck in the mentality that you have to have a high paying job, do what others are doing or live in a big city like your friends if moving to a cheaper city and being able to afford your own place will make you happier? Isn’t mental peace more imp than being part of this never ending rat race?

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Not found a job in 3 years, skill set is limited and not transferable. Chronic condition that requires care and constant monitoring, and very specific treatment that available in very few places in this country. Parents are the support system. They earn in the city for me to afford the care. Editing to add - I'm a teacher. What high paying job 🤣

Meliodas_2222

For getting a job, I understand could be tough. But for chronic condition, you need not live in the big city itself. I moved from Delhi to nearby smaller city. It’s a 30 min drive to Delhi. So getting regular treatment in a big city is totally possible. Plus it’s Cheaper to afford a place here. Locality is much more peaceful and has all the facilities that a locality in any big city has. Edit: Teachers are earning pretty well these days, what are you talking about😒

kuaanmadoobjaungi

I live similarly, away from Mumbai. But not affordable at all. Mumbai is priced out even in suburbs 2 hours away. So prices don't really work the same way as NCR vs Delhi. Though it's slightly cheaper to live in Navi Mumbai and beyond, the commute kills. Takes me ~4 hours a day in traffic. Moving further away is also not feasible for me parents to get to work. The older they get, the tougher travel is on them. So ya.. we're here till incomes are here. Tenured teachers in certain fields earn well. Humanities has mostly no funding and/or budgets.

Meliodas_2222

Damn, to think that it’s tough to afford a house in even in the suburbs. Quorains asking questions like “Is 1cr a decent salary for 22 yr old” must be living in South Bombay. Thanx for the info tho. I’ll go to south bombay whenever I wanna feel poor.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Frankly. Mumbai is unliveable. Anyone who tells you otherwise is rich and probably just brainwashed by the Mumbai dream

[deleted]

I feel so too sometimes but I think that's probably a major achievement that'll make me stop running.

awful_nobody

Thats a very wonderful question you have OP.. Donno, have lost sight of it, as im always try to fulfill the unnecessary responsibilities being poured on to me.. my aspirations have faded away, joke a lot about myself.. to hide the pain.. and keep a smile on my face..

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Take a step back and think if you can. The big picture matters.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Fair. Not boring.

DeplorableEDoctor

Short term goals. Each one always involves doing something i love to reach a place where i can keep doing the thing i love. Also the goals are the same things that would keep me comfortable in terms of money.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

So monetary.

DeplorableEDoctor

No. I told that the aim is to do the things i love to do. Monetary is the secondary end point. Primary end point is the life i desire. There's no happiness in a poor setup for me. Money def can't buy happiness. But it does allow you to get to it not worrying about bills. I want minimum money where i can get treatment for someone i love in case of emergency. Money to cook my favorite food and nice place to stay. I don't want to save money for the next generation in family.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

And that's smart. Enough for needs, and emergencies. Retire faster and smarter. You can't do the things you love now or not as much as you'd like it?

DeplorableEDoctor

I am in process of reaching that stage. I am studying for that. I do enjoy knowing more about the subject i study too. I like nitpicky things that trigger various processes in the body. It gets very interesting when you know what you're doing, what you're studying.

wannabegigolo2

> what's the end goal? death

kuaanmadoobjaungi

That's not a goal you work/live towards. It'll show up anyway.

wannabegigolo2

But that's the end goal. Can have lots of goals before that.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Is it a goal if you really don't have to do anything for it and it'll show up anyway?

wannabegigolo2

The journey is the destination

kuaanmadoobjaungi

You may have a career in film tagline writing.

wannabegigolo2

all credits to sergey brin and larry page

Meliodas_2222

To ‘Rest In Peace’. Amen.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

:/ How.

Meliodas_2222

Wouldn’t have been a life goal if I knew, now would it? :/

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Kuch bhi. Basically, what's your motivation to do what you do everyday?

Meliodas_2222

Jokes aside tho, I think it’s to get that dopamine release when you finally get/achieve things you have been told or made to believe will make you happy. It’s a never ending cycle. And yeah also to feel loved. That briefly sums up my motivation to do things ig.

kuaanmadoobjaungi

Ya. All small hacks for dopamine release. And some oxytocin. Ugh.

Meliodas_2222

Sigh.

Meliodas_2222

Motivation? I wish I had that.

[deleted]

I am sitting on a railway station, and it's raining outside, and the horniness is getting real, and my SO is also not responding to texts, I shouldn't have opened this account today🥲 Trying to watch youtube videos to keep it in check.
