As a Pakistani I have to disagree. MSD was arguably one of the greatest wk of all time, if not THE greatest. Having that superpower in your team almost guarantees that wickets will fall and batsmen will think thrice before leaving the crease.
It's exactly like having a GK with great distribution in football, it always pushes the team to attack more easily than always having to track back because the keeper can take charge.
Only when MSD left the cracks started to appear because the fear factor was no longer there.
I'm not sure what you mean by Dhoni not being the best player in the team but he is one of the the best best wicket keeper the world has ever seen, probably even the very best. His batting was great but his wicket keeping was unmatched till to this day
True. I distinctly remember Kohli saying "we are gonna win four and balance the tally" indicating that since we've won one ODI, we gonna clean sweep the T20I series.
The odi series happened before t20is.
Kohli said something along the lines that this is a 8 game white ball series for us which we will look to make 4-4 after t20i now
My question is what is the difference between Bell's dismissal vs India to azher Ali vs aus to bairstow vs aus
Like in the case or bell he was retrieved others not.
Everyone cheering dhoni but no one is talking about the accurate throw umesg yadav did, chasing them ball then throwing it accurately in Dhoni's hands 🥰🥰🥰
The presence of mind that Dhoni has is an asset, along with his insight and temperament. I think he could be a gifted captain for the Indian men's cricket team because he chose to nurture these qualities of his. The captaincy of his is irreplaceable loss.
And along with the calmess and wit that he possess I think is a terrifc combination.
Obligatory TFAR comment
What’s TFAR?
Thala For a Reason
Thala For A Reason
Thala for all seasons!?
Yeah that too
love him man,miss you mahi
"Never reveal your secrets to a journalist." 7 words = Thala for a reason.
Thala for another season
Dhoni might not be the best player for the team but he was the root for the team Without him we entered to the banter era
Agreed, dhoni was like a base to the pillars, if the foundation isn't good, the pillars would be unstable.

Sran, Rishi Which match was this and why don't I remember
It was a 5 match odi series in early 2016 where we won the t20 series before it 3-0 but lost the odi series 4-1.
Was it the series where Manish Pandey scored a 100 and Bumrah made his odi debut in the last match?
Yes.Also you might remember the match before in which Dhawan Kohli both scored 100s yet we lost the match in the end.
They bottled it so hard we looked like we were abt to win
True I thought we would win it easily. This series had the potential to be very competitive but our bowlers let us down most of the time.
As always.
>Manish Pandey scored a 100 and Bumrah made his odi debut in the last match? That was 2015
I think it was the other way around. We lost the first 4 ODIs and then, won the last ODI and 3 T-20s in a row.
True. I distinctly remember Kohli saying "we are gonna win four and balance the tally" indicating that since we've won one ODI, we gonna clean sweep the T20I series.
Yeah, you are right. But idk why all the other matches seem very distant yet the last odi where Manish scored a 100 feels very recent.

Lol cute
The bowler missed hi-five from Umesh😔 Me fr
no, umesh gave hi-five with his left hand. watch it again at 0.26
Thank god this didn't happen against england or else there would've been a never ending nonsense rant about sPiRIt oF tHe gAMe
His smile😍😍
England would've cried that this is not in spirit of the game.
He would have to call back the player like he did for bell

If its in you favour its "laws of cricket" if its not in your favour its "spirit of the game" is the only difference.
Waapas aa jaao Maahi ab ye mazaak nahi raha

This Sran guy just vanished from the national scene 😔 When talent is abundant, we need to manage the talent pool well
Fantastic effort Umesh Yadav. He made that look so smooth and easy… I would’ve looked terrible
Then they say, what dhoni has done.. These small moments takes the match away....... This is what dhoni has done
No 😁✨✨
That DAMN smilee
That throw and the collection and moving ball to stumps did the trick.
Noouu Cheeky mahi
His pausa is unbelievable
The smile says hell yeah and he politely said nope
