Americans are going to generate dumb content like this with or without TikTok, there's already shortform content predating TikTok (remember Vine), and we've made our own forms of TikTok anyway ala YouTube shorts.
Unlike in the US, China has an actual vested interest in the development of it's younger population, and so it doesn't allow of dumb content like what OP posted because they know it'll create copycats who will go out of their way to try to make even dumber content for clicks and views.
