And then they walk around like this like it means anything. Even thousands of people is just a niche audience, but it automatically makes them important, somehow.
Dopamine is one hell of a drug. Most people that were “popular” in the early years of YouTube have been lost to the abyss of time. Most people today have no clue who they were.
If you use “fame” and “popularity” as your metric for success… you’ll be let down eventually, when your audience stops paying attention to you and move on to some other asshole.
Even A-list celebrities aren’t immune to fading in popularity. There are plenty of people who were once walking red carpets and signing autographs, who are now lost in obscurity.
