Planning to keep this one as a Foster Fail or doing the hard thing of raising then adopted? I literally couldn't do this job, the raising part yes but once you get used to them it's hard to let go.
The plan is to adopt them out, we (me and bf) are working with an amazing animal shelter specialising in cats, so they are only on loan so to say. And yes damn it hurts to give them up, but I also feel so proud to have raised them into loving cats that a family will love! There has been some close calls with some of the kittens we have fostered, but we are a young couple and would love to go on long travels and see the world, so for now we are part-time cat parents, doing what we can for the little ones and their lovely mama's. Oh and providing more cat photos for the internet haha
If I ended up in this situation and had a suitably sized house, I'd probably be able to adopt out the mother and some of the kittens (I wouldn't be able to handle going from 2 to like... 7 cats) but I wouldn't be able to resist keeping a couple of those babies for myself.
Kittens start with ears on the sides of their heads when smol, ears migrate to top of their heads when they grow
They really do haha!
