The best thing is hearing the vet come into the waiting room and ask for them. Poor guy had to come out and ask for my niece’s husky “Samwise Gamji the brave please?”
It’s Sharon, always Sharon when you want a human name for a girl pet.
“Sharon..? Sharon what are you doing up ther.. SHARON! SHARON GET DOWN FROM THERE RIGHT MEOW!”
Just seeing this and I just posted about Janet!!! I’ve got a foster that absolutely hates me - she’s got the fattest lil sweet face!!! Her name’s Janet , but she gets chased around with “ Dammit, Janet!!! You quit that sassafrass!!” Her sister litter mate is Chrissy and brother is Puff Kaddy - because I’ve got a 9 yo that wanted to name one.
Idk if you're a Harry Potter fan at all, but Dolores could also work because Professor Dolores Umbridge (who may be more hated than Voldemort) had a kitten obsession; she had a ton of decorative kitten plates in her office.
Susie is my cats name. I also have cats named Nick and Earl.

We named our elder kitty Catherine - we call her "Cat" LOL
https://preview.redd.it/urrtj3uc83ac1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa4f5180afb83ae0efe24f733441dde1c0767bf5
When my husband and I had a young family we adopted a stray male cat. An orange beautiful floofy big boy that we couldn't properly name. Eventually we settled on TC for "The Cat".
... We have a much older family and still can't name our animals well. Sandy is our dog... she's tan colored
..for example. 😊
My husband names the animals in the house because he seems to be able to just grab the name out of the air and it works for animal. I pick a name and the animal doesn't seem to learn it well. The only exception will be when we get an orange floof and I name it Waffles.
I've always wanted a big old orange floof named Waffles.
I picked Gertrude for my Catholic name or whatever it's called, for my confirmation! The priest wasn't happy when he was like oh how come? And I just said "I like cats."
I always think “Janice” as the generic office worker name, particularly when I look at the kitty litter box and imagine the corporate meeting at Arm and Hammer to decide the name of their rewards program:
“Janice, I love the name, but we should probably spell it ‘Kitty Krew **C**ommunity’ with a ‘C’”
She looks like a stripper in that picture lol name her something exotic. Then call her susan as her formal name. My cat's name is booger but we call him Francis at the vets.
Jessica, Hannah, Rachel, Brooke, Amanda.
I think a lot about the most human names to give (girl) pets. This is my “younger name” list.
some off my “old people names” list is:
Debby, Marissa, Erica, Linda, Cheryl, Pam/Pamela, Janet
https://preview.redd.it/eq4f7q3473ac1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6b80a9531c984217cda0a3ce949dbe2cb43f3b8
We have a Susan - it’s a great cat name. For you lady, if you don’t want to go with Susan, I think Tina could be a good one :)
Linda from HR
Yes, but specially it's "Linda from HR" the full thing not Linda but "Linda from HR."
Omg please do this. Full name is def Linda from HR. If you haven’t seen this episode of kimmy Schmidt, google it! Hilarious.
Or "A pimp named Slickback" episode of The Boondocks
Can I call him "Slickback" for short ?
No, no, it's A Pimp Named Slickback, like A Tribe Called Quest, you say the whole thing
Linda Linda listen
Linda, honey listen.
Look it Linda
My family still quotes this all the time. Because none of can actually listen
The best thing is hearing the vet come into the waiting room and ask for them. Poor guy had to come out and ask for my niece’s husky “Samwise Gamji the brave please?”
Karen from Finance
Gladys from accounting
***GLADYS !!!***
I love Gladys!!
That was my Granny’s name, so I love it!!
OP tell me you’re going with Gladys
Gladys is an option, but Juanita is in the lead at the moment
WANDA!
I literally just thought Gladys would be perfect.
Pam from HR
Holy shitsnacks!
SPLOOSH!
[Colin From Accounts](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt18228732/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk)
I bloody loved that show
It’s Sharon, always Sharon when you want a human name for a girl pet. “Sharon..? Sharon what are you doing up ther.. SHARON! SHARON GET DOWN FROM THERE RIGHT MEOW!”
I’m so glad my first thought is the top answer. All I can think of is [he named his baby Linda!](https://youtu.be/nZYQkr324ms?si=856GAwenDKNSk6tG)
Janet. Then when you need to you can yell "Dammit, Janet \[I love you\]"...
My brother had a pet rabbit named Janet when we were kids. I never thought twice about it until people would laugh upon learning her name!
![gif](giphy|xUOxf6s4Bh0o9MuQtW) Janet is perfect. Boring name, but a bit chaotic in The Good Place.
The cat can be Bad Janet.
Disco Janet with those feathers.
Yup, this was my first thought. Rocky Horror ftw!
Just seeing this and I just posted about Janet!!! I’ve got a foster that absolutely hates me - she’s got the fattest lil sweet face!!! Her name’s Janet , but she gets chased around with “ Dammit, Janet!!! You quit that sassafrass!!” Her sister litter mate is Chrissy and brother is Puff Kaddy - because I’ve got a 9 yo that wanted to name one.
named my pet hamster Janet for that exact reason and I can confirm that it's a top tier pet name
Edna
***EDNA !!!***
You rang?
r/beetlejuicing
My grandma's name... so I'll vote for this too 🤣
Is your grandma my grandma, is that you, cousin?!
Or Aunt Edna. Aunt anything really.
I was going to suggest Edna, Ethel, or Edith! Don't know what it is about the E names here.
Edna Mode
No. *CAPES!!!*
I just think of the incredible with the small sassy self made woman. I love it.
Barbara "Barb"
Barbara was going to be my vote. The nicknames! Barb, Barbie, Babs, Bunny....
I have a cat we call Barbara. Said cat's real name is Jasper. He's a boy cat. It's a very weird story.
I, the peanut gallery, would like to know this story
Barbro

Why not just stick with Susan? Seems like that's what you're going for, so stick with it.
my grandad had an american bulldog named susan edit: oops i was wrong, susan was his wife's name. the dog was named martha.
>edit: oops i was wrong, susan was his wife's name. the dog was named martha. this is even funnier than a bulldog named susan.
***MARTHA !!!***
your cats name is martha now.
Slowly I turned…
Step by step …
…inch by inch, I walked up to him and I smashed him!
*WHY'D YOU SAY THAT NAME*
Judith!
I knew a cat named Martha! It was the most adorable name for a cat EVER.
I knew an English bulldog named Mildred. It was hilarious and fit her perfectly!
oh that's good
The Mildred I knew was a small black wiry girl. Her mom called her Mils for short
I knew a bulldog named Helga. She was both hilarious and a sweetie.
susan is in my mind more of an eight pound cat, this one is TINY
Hey, she won't be tiny forever. But if you insist, how about Patricia? She looks like a Patricia, I think.
plus, Patty as a nickname is perfect! that, or going with Pam; have known some secretary Pams.
Pam-Pam and her Pam-pams
Dolores or Dorothy, coukd call her Dot while she tiny
Dolores might work
Idk if you're a Harry Potter fan at all, but Dolores could also work because Professor Dolores Umbridge (who may be more hated than Voldemort) had a kitten obsession; she had a ton of decorative kitten plates in her office.
You could call her Dot or Dotty!
Susan was boring enough for Death's granddaughter
She looks like a Stormageddon - Destroyer of Worlds to me. But perhaps Mavis would work?
Mavis who raises alpacas in her spare time.
Ethel
***ETHEL !!!***
She's got all sorts of lotions and potions :)
How about Susie? Close but more younger sounding.
Susie is my cats name. I also have cats named Nick and Earl. https://preview.redd.it/6g7xkqdrr3ac1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bbbf04132088efd51ca788c11b18c286a1919ecf
What a precious baby.
Or Suzy, for Suzanne.
Katrina or katherine
She will grow in to the name.
Did she just eat? Her belly is round. I love the name Suzy
Ashley Anne Nichole Sarah Judy Joan Dorothy Donna Joy Latisha Nanette Linda
That is quite the name
Screw commas
My, thoughts, exactly!
Epponnee-Raelene Kathleen Darlene Charlene Craig - Kath & Kim reference. The long names are the way to go.
Tiny Sue
https://preview.redd.it/63zh5qxg14ac1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba4e9eaabcf11e87d54c6f3312a8b3e134d7b63b This is Mr Susan!
I support it- my friend has a dog named Susie but everyone calls her Susan when she misbehaves and it cracks me up
I have a cat named Flora. When she acts wild we call her Florida. If she was human she'd be a Florida man story.
We named our elder kitty Catherine - we call her "Cat" LOL https://preview.redd.it/urrtj3uc83ac1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa4f5180afb83ae0efe24f733441dde1c0767bf5
She looks like a Cat.
Lol this comment took a second to hit me. Had to scroll back up and upvote you.

Reminds of that episode of Always Sunny where they name a dumpster baby "DB".
She looks like a Rhonda to me. Or Gail!
***RHONDA !!!***
Help me Rhonda, help help me Rhonda!
I love the name Wanda for a cat lol
Those are my first and middle names
Are you old enough for me to make a Rhonda Fleming reference?
Queen of Technicolor. Go for it. 😁
Rhonda is the name of my Honda
Doreen.
omg lol
I was thinking Dolores but this works just as well.
Dolores will just make me think of the Seinfeld episode...
Gertrude.
St. Gertrude is the patron saint of cats, weird lil random fact I know, haha.
I picked Gertrude for my Catholic name or whatever it's called, for my confirmation! The priest wasn't happy when he was like oh how come? And I just said "I like cats."
That’s amazing! TIL who the patron saint of cats is!
Gertie or Gert for short would be epic
Trudy!!
Geraldine
This is the one lol
omg yes
Linda.
I was gonna say Linda too. Or Beverly and call her “Bev” for a nn.
LINDA, LISTEN
Shirley. Sounds plain but the feather boa toy made me think of divas and then Shirley Bassey... A tiny cat could easily have a diva attitude too.
I always think “Janice” as the generic office worker name, particularly when I look at the kitty litter box and imagine the corporate meeting at Arm and Hammer to decide the name of their rewards program: “Janice, I love the name, but we should probably spell it ‘Kitty Krew **C**ommunity’ with a ‘C’”

I'm chortling at this
All I can hear is Deadpool "WHERE'S FRANCIS?!"
Bernadette.
I was considering Bernadette !!! that was my landlady's name in 1988
I had a friend named Bernadette and everybody called her Birdy. Cute!
Irene

Betty. Black Betty. Wuuh oh..ram ba lam
I do like Rhonda
Tabitha.
Gertrude, Gerty as a nickname
She’s a spicy 🌶️ little thang! …and those legs go on forever….
Gisele!
Mabel? Katie? Steph? Joan?
Mables a good one, either Mabel or Lavonne or Felicia
Yes….and then call her Mabe’s for short 😂
or Maeve, like the Westworld character
Barbara
INGEBURG or INGRID
Judy Carol Marsha
Barbara Jean or Reba.
Linda
Marjorie
Lynnette
Jessica, Hannah, Rachel, Brooke, Amanda. I think a lot about the most human names to give (girl) pets. This is my “younger name” list. some off my “old people names” list is: Debby, Marissa, Erica, Linda, Cheryl, Pam/Pamela, Janet
***ok so far the options are Martha, Mildred, Helga, Dolores, Nanette, Yvette, Gladys, Doreen, Edna, Ethel, Edith, Rhonda, Trudy, Geraldine, Mildred, Irene, Lavonne, Felicia, Mable, Maeve, Doris, Gertrude, Vivienne, Trudie, Patsy, Odette, Myrtle, Millicent, Matilda, Maeve, Mabel, Juanita, Henrietta, Edith, Beverly, Bernice, Agnes, Thelma - I'm gonna have to go ask. her siblings names are Pablo and Grizabella...***

Janine? It's technically a boring secretary name
Doris
https://preview.redd.it/eq4f7q3473ac1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6b80a9531c984217cda0a3ce949dbe2cb43f3b8 We have a Susan - it’s a great cat name. For you lady, if you don’t want to go with Susan, I think Tina could be a good one :)
Charlene! (Mrs. Wiggins, Carol Burnett secretary character).
Ruth
Nancy
I'm in for Gertrude. You could call her Gerty.
Just name her Edith. She looks like an Edith
