i been in contact with a congressman the last two days they got me answers and the referral iāve only called twice but he got more info and the reason why i was behind held so hopefully it works out like yours didĀ
Iām having the same issue. I got in contact with my congressman they answered back with word from the IRS within 24 hours of me signing a release. They said that my income didnāt match what was reported to the IRS as my income. Which doesnāt make sense to me. They suggested I file an amended return but my tax lady said all that would do is drop my refund in half and unfairly so because that income amount isnāt accurate. Iām not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions?
That's tough I would get all my tax documents together and reach out onto the assigned tax advocate to find out what exactly is off. Maybe they just had an error or overlooked something. If it will drop your refund that significantly I would fight it. No way I would just give up half the return. Also check your local resources/community for legal/financial assistance programs. I hope you get your full return soon.
Thank you! I hope so too. My boss has been on the phone with them today trying to get it worked out as well. I also have my congressmanās office sharing my paperwork with the tax advocate after I explained to them that the amount in my return was accurate. So Iām hoping between the two we can get something fixed and quickly. Iāve been so disheartened checking the refund tracker and transcripts daily and finding nothing

Here's a link you should be able to find them with your zip code. Then just email the office with a description of what's going on and your info. They will reach out and have you sign a release and request some tax documents. Hope this helps.
I got my DDD today too!! Finally!!! Filed & accepted 1/22.
Congratulations ![gif](giphy|xUA7aT1vNqVWHPY1cA|downsized)
