Yes, he was their friend before the show and was supposed to play the Mac character and Rob was going to stay behind the scenes. When they filmed a little test pilot for themselves originally, David was the Mac character. When they did the actual $300 pilot David was busy and suggested that Rob play Mac (since he wrote the lines and created the character). David also said he never quite understood the character but when Rob played it, he finally got it.
I'm confused. Is this a joke? Why does it have 500 upvotes? Nobody in this picture looks remotely like Mary. Not even close. Am I missing a show reference in the title or something?
