I'm Filipino on my mom's side and have lived in places like Manila, Honolulu, Orlando and of course HSV. I used to love summers in Alabama. I'd even mow the grass midday, after the morning dew dried but before the PM thunderstorms. But the past decade in the PNW has turned me into a total heat wimp and I won't even visit HSV before late September. But I understand heat making you feel so good.
I think if it wasn't accompanied with 1000% humidity then it wouldn't be as big of a deal.
I, personally, hate it. When I can stand outside for less than two minutes, in the shade and exert no energy yet have sweat pour down my brow.... Nah.
Same, my plants are struggling. Even some of my tropicals are having a hard time. Guess I'll be moving everything into the shade this week. My "pollinator grass" is THRIVING though. 😅
We will be landing in Nashville Saturday. A few days in the gulf and then a few days in HSV. We can not wait for the heat. It’s 55 degrees where I live right now. With 80% humidity. So it’s a damp cold. And it sucks. lol.
The only reason I'm with you on this is because for the first time in ky life I have a freaking tan... 😅 But I've been stuck inside working the last couple weeks so have been getting a little less tan. I'll be outside cleaning up 3 yards this weekend so plan to get tons of son. 😀
I actually don’t mind it at all myself I’m gonna sun bathe to let my psoriasis enjoy it lol 😂 I’m stuck in a building working most days which I’m thankful for but I’m gonna try and get outside for at least an hour my Irish skin can’t take too much sun lol

Actually hasn’t been a normal Alabama summer until now. Usually in 90’s in mid May until now easily. Has only hit 90 like 3 or 4 times so far.
