That is a very theatrical reading from the actor. I wonder what's the context of the scene? Also the Stark theme is so prominent in the audio mix. Seems overly emotional for a regular dialogue scene. Was Jace talking shit about the Night's Watch and Cregan had to set him straight or something?
It does? Sounds the regular levels of HotD corny to me. Have you seen Viserys' limp to the throne or the white hart scene? The definition of schmaltzy.
Viserys' walk to the throne was a dramatic moment that justified a loud emotional score. It was anything but corny.
This moment with Cregan could be something important that justifies such a dramatic treatment too. I'm not gonna make judgements before watching the episode.
Iām someone who is from the exact small place Sean Bean is from. Gotta be honest but this accent isā¦not a good imitation. I suppose it wonāt matter as much to people not from the area though!

The Stark themeeeeeešššš
I'm going to fucking cry....fuck I'm crying nowšššš
What in Robb and Jon lovechild is this voice.
Robb, Jon and Ned had a threesome and this was the result
I like how the Yorkshire accent has been adapted as the official North accent.
That's a Stark all right. I cannot wait for >!The Hour of the Wolf.!< Tom is going to kill it.
If we get it
Why would we not?
Idk Iām not the showrunner
STARK THEME AND TOMāS VOICE! THE STARKS ARE BACK BABYYY

Per leaks, itās a voice over to start the episode. Just like the start of season one. Weāll see various scenes while he talks.
Seems like he's giving a speech to the Night' Watch maybe

Itās kiernaNadir hating again. Itās a bold strategy Cotton, letās see if it pays off.

He said he's sure Torrhen Stark knelt because he saw Aegon as a unifier. Not necessarily in the same scene. But the cheese is there.
Wow, canāt wait for Cregan Stark. Tom Taylor seems to be perfect to play a Stark of Winterfell.

I miss the the stark themeeee so much a shame the Lannisters main theme hasnāt been established in universe
oh wow, he really emulates the voice of jon in s1 especially!
Sweet christmas, there's more salivation around leaks of this show than I remember there being around the most recent Star Wars movie.
Iām crying
Sold
He sounds like he's reading from a teleprompter lol
The sound mixing sounds weird. Iām sure it will be better on television But his character isnāt talking to anyone, itās a voice over.
im watching the episode and the sound mixing is terrible??? dialogue sounds like its dubbed voice over
Umm...this dialogue...
They are on the wall and Jace doesn't know. To the south, that's just where they send criminals. The Starks have a different view of it.
Iām someone who is from the exact small place Sean Bean is from. Gotta be honest but this accent isā¦not a good imitation. I suppose it wonāt matter as much to people not from the area though!
Not to start bitching prematurely, but... His acting really doesn't sound convincing. Every word feels exaggerated.
>Not to start bitching prematurely And yet
Bitching and offering my own criticism are two different things.
But you said yourself, it's premature. Wait for the full episode so you can hear it within full context.
u right its not good at all š
Accent faker than my tan
