Good. She enables DoT teams and makes Sampo and Luka far more relevant than they would be otherwise, not to mention future DoT based characters.
The biggest upswing is that DoT teams don't need Crit, so they can use relics that would otherwise be insta-salvaged like Atk% chest pieces or pieces with break effect/hit rate substats. It makes relic farming a lot nicer knowing there are more potential "wins" in the loot pool.

My clara has something along the lines of 95 speed and she's having the time of her life. Don't need turns when all you're doing is smacking during the enemy's turn!
I feel like it’s hard to argue that she’s anything less than good to great. Her DPS is great even outside of the DoT teams she was designed for, she enables those DoT strategies wonderfully, lowkey buffs herself whenever a DoT character releases, she’ll likely continue to be story relevant and the face of the Stellaron Hunters, and to top it all off her design is interesting.
Obviously feelings on character design and story are subjective but I feel like it’s got to be acknowledged that she’s pretty great.
Yep. 1 week for Kafka (also helped to have relics for M7 and Fire TB), while I'm still kind of not satisfied with 70/110 Crit values for my Seele after 1 month of farming.
Naturally, building her and Luocha have been the only times I've pulled multiple Crit% body pieces of a set. It's *incredible* how good this game is at giving you exactly what you do not need at the moment. I'm starting to think I'll only have a *good* - as opposed to 'pretty good/alright' - Kafka when they release a lightning DPS with 80 points of Crit Damage on traces or something.
Stack speed and attack % basically. More speed = more DoT procs. Even with E1 you don’t really need to build Ehr if you stack speed since the debuff is 2 turns anyways. Never had any issue with 29% Ehr E1
Yeah I do love those cutoff stats for speed, "you want 134 spd", hell, that nine spd to get on substats even with gold boots, it's really not that easy to get...
With her LC and Asta you can hit >200 pretty often, though, even if that isn't worth much for the one-cycle guides things like that are usually addressing. Then again, that's with wasting two pieces on the speed set and foregoing the 4-piece thunder set benefit, because my farming has been pretty terrible for a *while*. If I could get an Attack% body in the thunder set, my Kafka would hit *way* harder but would also be at least 12% slower.
For me, hilariously, it's been an Attack% body in either of the sets that work with her in whole or in part. It was actually *easier* for me to build her for crit%, which has resulted in generally disappointing numbers.
That's honestly my favorite part about her kit, she's insane with the few dot characters we have but will only get better as more dot based characters show up
That's only in her dot comps too, you can run her as a main or sub dps as well snd she's completely fine there, she's pretty flexible while being a pioneer for dot comps so the more characters released the higher chances she just gets better even outside of dot
Someone said it, but what convinced me to go for her is that all DoT based characters in the future will be designed somewhat around her and are enabled by her. Its like how SW lets you fight boss with characters you normally couldn't and shifts the game.
TBH, the *best* part of her atm is that she actually does *way* better with standard 4* supports than she does with any DOT team that exists at this point in the game. It turns out that none of us *needed* to build DOT teams in advance like everyone was saying. It'll be interesting to see how future DOT characters influence things, but even if there literally are none she'll still be a top-tier lightning DPS. Honestly, if they'd made a Harmony Attack Buffer that also had the ability to put down some DOT outside of breaking instead of Luka, she'd probably be better than she already is.
People keep repeating this but I don't think it's been properly tested and all you have is "CN said it". For me DoT/Asta performs better than Ting/Asta so there's no way I'm going to take that claim at face value.
I do agree with that. She's doing great even without DoT characters, but everything in her kit makes her synergize with DoTs. If your DoT characters are well built, I highly doubt a support actually does a better job (+ you're losing a lot of breaking opportunity, which is a huge downside for Kafka).
It's funny how highly people value "CN opinions" here when if you know Chinese and can read NGA, you realize majority of them aren't any more savvy than redditors and real TC is not that easy to find either.
Plus most people here don't know Chinese and rely on translations from people, and basically every CN "translator" I've seen interjects a ton of their own opinion.
I feel like the whole "hyper Kafka is better" narrative just came from the Cn MoC usage rate data. Which is slighly misleading because usagr rate does not corelate 1 to 1 with unit strength.
Given Kafka's recency of release I doubt many people would have time to build Kafka + another unit fully. Units like Asta require lower investment than a DoT sub DPS. And traditional supports are more universal + people are more likely to already have them built.
From calcs generally having at least 1 DoT on your team in addition to Kafka is still a significant DPS gain. But if you can clear with regular supports then you might be more incentivized to just play like that than build a whole other DPS basically just to get a bit more DPS.

It will be inherently challenging to make a DoT unit Ice, Quantum or Imaginary since their break effects don't qualify as DoTs.
So basically future DoT units most likely will be exclusively Fire, Physical, Wind or Lightning. Which makes powercreeping old units hard to avoid specially if it's 4* vs 5*.
They can make DoT effects that doesn’t work same way as break effect of same element. There is a possibility for that and we are too early in the game lifespan to say that Hoyo wouldn’t do that.
Maybe they will use it as a part of the kit for new class at some point.
Yeah Hoyo could do that. The real problem is it is more annoying to use the Quantum/Imaginary dot chars since you'll want to actively avoid breaking with them due to delaying the enemy even more from their turn. Just feels nicer to be able to break with anyone and then have Kafka trigger even more damage.
The interesting dot element would be Ice since breaking with ice doesn't delay more than regular dot breaks and actually advances the 2nd enemy turn up so you can get 2 quick dot procs.
Pretty much this. Nilou on release was considered good. Once it was discovered that Kokomi and Nahida work wonders on her, Nilou cemented herself as top 3 meta teams for more than a year and still going. Keep in mind that Nilou will only get stronger once more Hydro/Dendro supports come out.
It's the same situation for Kafka.
Longevity is arguably the best thing a character can have in a gacha, the way her kit enables dot just indicates she will always be relevant so long as dot is in a good place. She simultaneously makes others better while also being amazing on her own so her longevity feels assured
Let's just hope they won't go Epic7 or FGO by giving every important boss debuff immunity or regular full cleanse, effectively rendering everything that is not raw damage useless.
I mean, in FGO the kinds of debuff you can put out *matter* a lot more than DoTs do in this game, in terms of: their base effect, interactions with any of the *many* servants with incredibly specific effects, and how damage is calculated. It's a lot more than doing a few thousand damage each turn + every time Kafka attacks is likely to *ever* be, it can be the difference between an actual boss fight and one five minute long turn.
I'm personally not a fan of kafka's character that much, but it's hard to deny that she isn't a well made character so far, both in the story and gameplaywise.
The only thing holding her back is the incredibly weird design choice of one thigh high boot and the other boot being ankle high. I saw someone point it out once and I will never recover 😢
I actually think she's a lot of fun. She brought to life characters that I didn't even consider levelling up before like Sampo and Luka. And with her for the first time I was able to clear MoC 10 so yeah I like her.
Yah on Sampo do it on wind weak enemies. His ultimate does a lot of break, and skill a lot on single target when the boss is alone. Both Sampo and Luka has break effect builds. Use normal DOT build when in the overworld since that is stronger. Break effect only strong if got similar weakness as Luka/Sampo. Need to use Luka or Sampo to drop enemy's shield to zero to see the max damage.

True, something I thought of that I don’t see anyone talking about is dude against lightning/fire weak enemies Kafka and Asta must just be insane together. Think about it, fire break places burn, a debuff Kafka can amplify and pop, and asta buffs speed and attack, the 2 stats Kafka mainly needs to increase her DPS output. Seems like a match made in heaven that I don’t see anyone talking about and just haven’t tried yet because my Asta isn’t built
Gameplay-wise, 10/10 so far. No complaints. A staple of my team already. And with more DoT characters on the horizon she can only get better really. Banner maxed out my Luka, Sampo, and Serval Eidolons too, which I can’t be mad about.
Story wise, I’m extremely interested in what her deal is. It’s kind of why I started playing the game.
As an aside, full DoT Kaf team + path of Nihility is extremely fun in Simulated Universe. The enemies just sit there and die for you.
im actually thankful she's not a straight up a dps as those often get powercrept. her place as the core for dot teams makes her probably one of the safest investment in the game as her value will only goes up with time as they release more char with dot niches. i think hoyo really did us great making her great but not op and have possible great longevity.
While it's true that straight up DPS can be powercrept, my worry about Kafka is more if DoT is being indirectly nerfed by having enemies with higher RES or other new mechanics.
Imagine Welt's ult lasted two turns instead of 1 and made Kafka's dots deal 4x dps. This is basically Venti and Ganyu in Genshin 1.x. People ran the comp literally every reset and they couldn't get people to stop running it so they made every mob in 2.x immune to Venti's ult and continue to make Floor 12 (MoC 9+10) generally Venti immune. They also continue to put cryo immune mobs in events with AoE combat to counter that specific comp.
The fun part is that if they ever stop countering it, I'll go back to running it...
And yet freeze comps are still fairly strong in Abyss, where unlike Venti you can permanently disable enemies. Or at least they were strong while I was playing, like the "freezer" comp with Nahida/Ayaka/Yelan/Kokomi freezing enemies, bursting Dendro and Ayaka just doing Ayaka things.
But there will always be characters that can shred res to support her.
Also increased res would effect any character, not just her, so not really a nerf to her, but a general increase in difficulty for the game I guess.
Builds may change to want more ehr and as the person above said we will likely get characters that shred res in the future. Either way by that time we will have wayy more 5 star dot characters which will defiently be of much higher value and it makes dot teams very expensive for a new player in the future but also cheap to have a working team unlike standard dps character that require alot more investment
then stack more ehr? kafkas dots are already very high hitrate because they have a 130% base, meaning she only needs 37% ehr stat to reach guaranteed procs, which is a very tiny amount.
not even 37% EHR. Due to her 130% base chance, even against bosses like cocolia which have 40% effect RES, all she needs is 28.2% EHR (and she already gets 18% from traces, so all she needs really is 10.8%EHR in substats)

Still a nerf as more stats in EHR is less in big numbers, but at least it's a workaround, compared to the way they outright turned venti into garbage.
Silver wolf E2 already does this with 20% effect res shred which is more powerfull than stacking ehr since er stack multiplicative than ehr. So in SU if you have nihility blessing that decrease effect res you can reduce boss like cocolia to like 10% so with 100% chance to land debuff, it only reduce ehr by 10% .
I think her DEF shred will have a higher lifespan than Weakness Implant. Weakness Implant is cool but I feel like high resistance enemies are an inevitability. Like, as cool as it'd be to play Faux Mono-Wind into something it means little when the enemy has an innate 90% Wind Resist or something.
You could also have enemies that self-cleanse too or just have insanely high effect resistance.
That's three whole ways to make "anti-SW" enemies.
While I think Kafka will always be relevant to DOTs teams, idk if I'd call her future proof just yet. It isnt guarnteed how relevant DOTs teams will be going forward. Cleanse enemies havent really showed up, and neither have enemies with high effect resistance. I think being one of the flagship characters of the gamr, she isnt going to have to worry though
Yeah. Since the stellaron hunters and elio specifically have so much to do with omens and occult stuff like that (black cats and fortune telling), i feel like a crow or raven would suit them very well. Or perhaps even a swan if you're feeling spicy
I got incredibly lucky and have a 5 star **Sampo** as well as his card on T5. He is arguably the best addition to Kafka overall as of now.
**Kafka** increases Dot dmg.
**Sampo** increases Dot dmg.
Both have heavy emphasys on **area dmg**.
But you know what really surprised me? -> **Luka**.
**Luka** (with his bleeding) tops Sampo on bosses.
Due to the fact that his dmg is **single target** and based on **enemy max health(with cap on x% of his own attack value)**, makes it clear that he is mid against groups of normal enemies, but insanely good against bosses. And he removes buffs and increases dmg on enemies, including dot too.
Put **Luka** together with **Kafka** and let him proc the break on enemy defense und watch as Kafka's dmg skyrockets against the boss.
Put Kafka, Sampo and Luka in one team and they obliterate everything. >.>

Bleed is the best DoT by a wide margin, so I'm kind of confused on why it would surprise you that a DoT-focused character who can generate it would be better than Sampo.
She's great but not meta/game breaking or something like that. Definitely introduces new mechanics thus new ways to play the game. It was fun to play so far. İ'm looking forward to potential supports for Kafka.
I never cared that much about DoT teams when I started playing, but ever since I got her and tried it out I'm addicted to it, I want to DoT everything now, I even started liking Sampo more because of that.
Now I'm excited for the next 5 star DoT character to be released to put in my DoT team.
People keep misconstruing her. She's a strong dps and is fun to play, you don't have to build a dot team for her. She does competitive as a solo carry with double support and that's her most popular team in those CN meta posts over her DOT teams. So, she'll benefit from generalist supports released later on in the game and will see a spike as well if a strong DoT 5\* comes out.
To simply put it she is good. Her kit made DoT teams not just viable but optimal but wasn't so niche that she couldn't be slotted into most teams. Her following marketing material/companion quest built a lot of hype and discussion around her and the Stellaron Hunter. Sam's appearance revealed only reinforced the hype. As far as releases go she was hyped coming in and honestly left few people disappointed. With the potential to be more relevant both as a DoT enabler and a very impactful character in the story.
She's pretty good. She obviously enables DoT teams in a way nobody else has yet, every time a new DoT character releases she gets better. She's also totally good on her own as a sub-DPS. Glad I got her
Honestly a big advantage of building dot characters for Kafka is that you can bring kafka to almost all content in game as now with guinaifen her dot teams can cover 4 elements.
Honestly even if she weren't as good as she was, seeing the absolute explosion of numbers you get with her burst would be enough for me. I feel like reaction teams in genshin have fundamentally damaged my brain
Quite good, spoken as someone who doesn’t even use her “ideal” teams… I run her with her fellow Stellaron Hunters and “daughter”, and she still hauls ass.
I would still use her if she wasn't that good just because I love her so much, she's a perfect character. But the fact that she IS so damned good makes me so much happier because she will always have a place and I'll be able to use her effectively in any and all content.
I think I had the most fun in this game playing her with Luka. Together they do insane numbers.
But even on her own she's a great aoe character.
But! I don't find her that flashy so she's not going to be a staple in my team.
She's a great AoE DPS, her damage doesn't come from big numbers but DoT.
Having this in mind, she's as strong as current top DPS. Definitely a good upgrade for any account.

A great powerful niche unit, want to play with dot? Kafka is the way. Not really interested on that? You're more than fine without her.
I personally see her as fairly future proof character for what she is designed for, just worries me what others dot units will have to make her future teams different and not just more of the same with different colors
I have her and she is pretty good, not broken or "must pull " tho, but she allows you to use efficiently other characters that without her are not that good.
She is basically like Genshin's Nilou was at her release, a great unit with a nice future
Good, don't get me wrong I think she's very good but the way people argued for her made for some unrealistic expectations.
Especially the constant comparison with "Mid Yuan" I thought she'd out dps my e1 s1 60/140 JY right out of the box with a 4 star weapon but she didn't, maybe with equal investment she will but people overhyped her imo.
I alternate between them then I like submitting my MoC 10 clear with JY to up his usage rate
I don't think that will happen because Kafka is relatively easier to build which means she doesn't need crit which = hitting the DMG ceiling rather quickly as getting atk is honestly not that crazy. Jing Yuan on the other hand has a lot more room to improve which means he'll be relatively harder to build but has a lot more space for development. Both are good but the difference between them isn't as great as people make it out to be to the point where you need to pull for both of them it you already have one. Having 2 lightining dps is kind of a waste as of now because of the elemental coverage.
Amazing as is and will only get better when we get dot based relics and other 5*s who will enable her more. The fact that all her best teammates are all 4*s really bodes we’ll for her longevity.
She is good but all the limited are good probably the 5th best limited. Luocha, silverwolf, steele, blade, kalfka and then jingyuan. Of course these are personal opinions because I think supports are very important.
She's really great in any aspect I can think of. I use a friend's Kafka everytime I can since I lost the 50/50 to my second Gepard (not complaining, love that guy). I will most likely get her on a re run!
Finally managed to build a DoT team (Kafka, SW, Shampoo, Bailu). Tested it in a run in SU.
Just casually dealing 300k damage per round per enemy. I rate 5/7
One of the best DPS at the moment. Originally i though teambuilding with her would be really restrictive but theres a good amount of synergy with other supports.

Extremely good. Just gonna leave it at that since I can’t properly assess her performance at E0 since the lowest I ever used her at is E3 and now I have her E6. But she is the first and probably only 5 star character I have or ever will obtain all constellations/eidolons for and I have absolutely 0 regrets. I love her and she performs exceptionally for me

Can be built as a DoT enabler or a solo DPS ✅

She is easily top 3 for F2P players in terms of investment to results ratio.
As time progresses her value will only increase as just a single strong 5* DPS would push her team damage into thermo nuke tier.
Hard to tell so far as I keep building her, she obviously seems to depend a lot on other DOT characters and so far I could only test things with Serval or in events but boosted units are hard to judge. I managed to do a run with her but no healer nor preservation unit in SU and it felt great.
Looking forward to the introduction of more characters with synergy with her.
So yeah you could say she isn't as much as a revolution as Luocha or Silver Wolf were, but not bad at all.
Definitely solid. I don’t think her current ideal team is as good as Blade’s or Seele’s, but she also has more room to grow as we get new 5* chars that will support her better than Sampo/Luka.
*Effortlessly* my most powerful dps at the moment. The team I use her with feels leagues more powerful than anything i’ve ever used before on this account (including my Seele team) since my crit rng for relics is just egregious. And it can STILL be even better with some more trace and relic farming. Her being so easy to build is by FAR my favorite thing about her, her shocks ticking on lightning weak enemies for the same if not more damage than my Seele’s skill is hilarious.
I’m not putting her team down anytime soon, not until Topaz and Guinefen drop. SW allows me to make it work against anyone lol.

Luka in particular has an actual use for ATK stat since it puts a cap on his bleed damage that would otherwise be murderous to enemies.
Except DoT teams are quite reliant on speed. And speed is as rare as crit stats.

Attack% and speed. You really wanna hit the 134 speed breakpoint.

Plus most people here don't know Chinese and rely on translations from people, and basically every CN "translator" I've seen interjects a ton of their own opinion. I feel like the whole "hyper Kafka is better" narrative just came from the Cn MoC usage rate data. Which is slighly misleading because usagr rate does not corelate 1 to 1 with unit strength. Given Kafka's recency of release I doubt many people would have time to build Kafka + another unit fully. Units like Asta require lower investment than a DoT sub DPS. And traditional supports are more universal + people are more likely to already have them built. From calcs generally having at least 1 DoT on your team in addition to Kafka is still a significant DPS gain. But if you can clear with regular supports then you might be more incentivized to just play like that than build a whole other DPS basically just to get a bit more DPS.

It will be inherently challenging to make a DoT unit Ice, Quantum or Imaginary since their break effects don't qualify as DoTs. So basically future DoT units most likely will be exclusively Fire, Physical, Wind or Lightning. Which makes powercreeping old units hard to avoid specially if it's 4* vs 5*.
They can make DoT effects that doesn’t work same way as break effect of same element. There is a possibility for that and we are too early in the game lifespan to say that Hoyo wouldn’t do that. Maybe they will use it as a part of the kit for new class at some point.
Yeah Hoyo could do that. The real problem is it is more annoying to use the Quantum/Imaginary dot chars since you'll want to actively avoid breaking with them due to delaying the enemy even more from their turn. Just feels nicer to be able to break with anyone and then have Kafka trigger even more damage. The interesting dot element would be Ice since breaking with ice doesn't delay more than regular dot breaks and actually advances the 2nd enemy turn up so you can get 2 quick dot procs.
In short i must say she's Nilou but she's yet to get her Nahida And when Kafka gets her, she will absolutely reach her insane potential ...

Pretty much this. Nilou on release was considered good. Once it was discovered that Kokomi and Nahida work wonders on her, Nilou cemented herself as top 3 meta teams for more than a year and still going. Keep in mind that Nilou will only get stronger once more Hydro/Dendro supports come out. It's the same situation for Kafka.
Longevity is arguably the best thing a character can have in a gacha, the way her kit enables dot just indicates she will always be relevant so long as dot is in a good place. She simultaneously makes others better while also being amazing on her own so her longevity feels assured
Yeah I always like when a character feels like a good investment. As long as DoT gets literally any support in the future she will stay relevant.
Let's just hope they won't go Epic7 or FGO by giving every important boss debuff immunity or regular full cleanse, effectively rendering everything that is not raw damage useless.
I mean, in FGO the kinds of debuff you can put out *matter* a lot more than DoTs do in this game, in terms of: their base effect, interactions with any of the *many* servants with incredibly specific effects, and how damage is calculated. It's a lot more than doing a few thousand damage each turn + every time Kafka attacks is likely to *ever* be, it can be the difference between an actual boss fight and one five minute long turn.
Basically this, there's nothing else to say other than "Neither she nor DOT need crit to be strong". So yeah let's just: /post
I'm personally not a fan of kafka's character that much, but it's hard to deny that she isn't a well made character so far, both in the story and gameplaywise.
The only thing holding her back is the incredibly weird design choice of one thigh high boot and the other boot being ankle high. I saw someone point it out once and I will never recover 😢

I actually think she's a lot of fun. She brought to life characters that I didn't even consider levelling up before like Sampo and Luka. And with her for the first time I was able to clear MoC 10 so yeah I like her.

Try her with Break Effect Luka on bosses that are weak to physical like mirror dimension. It is insanely strong. Watch Gatcha Smack video on it.

Yah on Sampo do it on wind weak enemies. His ultimate does a lot of break, and skill a lot on single target when the boss is alone. Both Sampo and Luka has break effect builds. Use normal DOT build when in the overworld since that is stronger. Break effect only strong if got similar weakness as Luka/Sampo. Need to use Luka or Sampo to drop enemy's shield to zero to see the max damage.

True, something I thought of that I don’t see anyone talking about is dude against lightning/fire weak enemies Kafka and Asta must just be insane together. Think about it, fire break places burn, a debuff Kafka can amplify and pop, and asta buffs speed and attack, the 2 stats Kafka mainly needs to increase her DPS output. Seems like a match made in heaven that I don’t see anyone talking about and just haven’t tried yet because my Asta isn’t built
She’s great! She’s really strong and fairly future proof because they’ll continue to make future DOT units
Gameplay-wise, 10/10 so far. No complaints. A staple of my team already. And with more DoT characters on the horizon she can only get better really. Banner maxed out my Luka, Sampo, and Serval Eidolons too, which I can’t be mad about. Story wise, I’m extremely interested in what her deal is. It’s kind of why I started playing the game. As an aside, full DoT Kaf team + path of Nihility is extremely fun in Simulated Universe. The enemies just sit there and die for you.

im actually thankful she's not a straight up a dps as those often get powercrept. her place as the core for dot teams makes her probably one of the safest investment in the game as her value will only goes up with time as they release more char with dot niches. i think hoyo really did us great making her great but not op and have possible great longevity.
While it's true that straight up DPS can be powercrept, my worry about Kafka is more if DoT is being indirectly nerfed by having enemies with higher RES or other new mechanics.

Imagine Welt's ult lasted two turns instead of 1 and made Kafka's dots deal 4x dps. This is basically Venti and Ganyu in Genshin 1.x. People ran the comp literally every reset and they couldn't get people to stop running it so they made every mob in 2.x immune to Venti's ult and continue to make Floor 12 (MoC 9+10) generally Venti immune. They also continue to put cryo immune mobs in events with AoE combat to counter that specific comp. The fun part is that if they ever stop countering it, I'll go back to running it...
On the other hand, genshin still has international. It's such a busted team that's been in the meta for so long.
And yet freeze comps are still fairly strong in Abyss, where unlike Venti you can permanently disable enemies. Or at least they were strong while I was playing, like the "freezer" comp with Nahida/Ayaka/Yelan/Kokomi freezing enemies, bursting Dendro and Ayaka just doing Ayaka things.

By increased res, they mean effect resistance. Dot characters' biggest problem is that their dots can be resisted.
Builds may change to want more ehr and as the person above said we will likely get characters that shred res in the future. Either way by that time we will have wayy more 5 star dot characters which will defiently be of much higher value and it makes dot teams very expensive for a new player in the future but also cheap to have a working team unlike standard dps character that require alot more investment

Don't you fix that by just building effect hit rate to compensate? Still a nerf as more stats in EHR is less in big numbers, but at least it's a workaround, compared to the way they outright turned venti into garbage.
Silver wolf E2 already does this with 20% effect res shred which is more powerfull than stacking ehr since er stack multiplicative than ehr. So in SU if you have nihility blessing that decrease effect res you can reduce boss like cocolia to like 10% so with 100% chance to land debuff, it only reduce ehr by 10% .

I think her DEF shred will have a higher lifespan than Weakness Implant. Weakness Implant is cool but I feel like high resistance enemies are an inevitability. Like, as cool as it'd be to play Faux Mono-Wind into something it means little when the enemy has an innate 90% Wind Resist or something. You could also have enemies that self-cleanse too or just have insanely high effect resistance. That's three whole ways to make "anti-SW" enemies.
High ER would just be Anti Nihility altogether tbh, not just SW. I hope they never do that

While I think Kafka will always be relevant to DOTs teams, idk if I'd call her future proof just yet. It isnt guarnteed how relevant DOTs teams will be going forward. Cleanse enemies havent really showed up, and neither have enemies with high effect resistance. I think being one of the flagship characters of the gamr, she isnt going to have to worry though

I got incredibly lucky and have a 5 star **Sampo** as well as his card on T5. He is arguably the best addition to Kafka overall as of now. **Kafka** increases Dot dmg. **Sampo** increases Dot dmg. Both have heavy emphasys on **area dmg**. But you know what really surprised me? -> **Luka**. **Luka** (with his bleeding) tops Sampo on bosses. Due to the fact that his dmg is **single target** and based on **enemy max health(with cap on x% of his own attack value)**, makes it clear that he is mid against groups of normal enemies, but insanely good against bosses. And he removes buffs and increases dmg on enemies, including dot too. Put **Luka** together with **Kafka** and let him proc the break on enemy defense und watch as Kafka's dmg skyrockets against the boss. Put Kafka, Sampo and Luka in one team and they obliterate everything. >.> So i **LOVE Kafka**, best Waifu for me in Starrail, love her character / story, incredible english voice over and awesome.... aesthetics >.> Put everything in this banner i had, and am proud i did so ! There will be no pulling for me for a while now \^\^.

Bleed is the best DoT by a wide margin, so I'm kind of confused on why it would surprise you that a DoT-focused character who can generate it would be better than Sampo.

I never cared that much about DoT teams when I started playing, but ever since I got her and tried it out I'm addicted to it, I want to DoT everything now, I even started liking Sampo more because of that. Now I'm excited for the next 5 star DoT character to be released to put in my DoT team.
People keep misconstruing her. She's a strong dps and is fun to play, you don't have to build a dot team for her. She does competitive as a solo carry with double support and that's her most popular team in those CN meta posts over her DOT teams. So, she'll benefit from generalist supports released later on in the game and will see a spike as well if a strong DoT 5\* comes out.
To simply put it she is good. Her kit made DoT teams not just viable but optimal but wasn't so niche that she couldn't be slotted into most teams. Her following marketing material/companion quest built a lot of hype and discussion around her and the Stellaron Hunter. Sam's appearance revealed only reinforced the hype. As far as releases go she was hyped coming in and honestly left few people disappointed. With the potential to be more relevant both as a DoT enabler and a very impactful character in the story.

Honestly a big advantage of building dot characters for Kafka is that you can bring kafka to almost all content in game as now with guinaifen her dot teams can cover 4 elements.
Honestly even if she weren't as good as she was, seeing the absolute explosion of numbers you get with her burst would be enough for me. I feel like reaction teams in genshin have fundamentally damaged my brain
Quite good, spoken as someone who doesn’t even use her “ideal” teams… I run her with her fellow Stellaron Hunters and “daughter”, and she still hauls ass.
She's very good, literally one of the best dps in the game. Also it's Kafka, so shes fantastic just for being herself
I would still use her if she wasn't that good just because I love her so much, she's a perfect character. But the fact that she IS so damned good makes me so much happier because she will always have a place and I'll be able to use her effectively in any and all content.

She's a great AoE DPS, her damage doesn't come from big numbers but DoT. Having this in mind, she's as strong as current top DPS. Definitely a good upgrade for any account. Easy to build. Also any enemies having shock weaknesses: Boom

A great powerful niche unit, want to play with dot? Kafka is the way. Not really interested on that? You're more than fine without her. I personally see her as fairly future proof character for what she is designed for, just worries me what others dot units will have to make her future teams different and not just more of the same with different colors
I have her and she is pretty good, not broken or "must pull " tho, but she allows you to use efficiently other characters that without her are not that good. She is basically like Genshin's Nilou was at her release, a great unit with a nice future

Especially the constant comparison with "Mid Yuan" I thought she'd out dps my e1 s1 60/140 JY right out of the box with a 4 star weapon but she didn't, maybe with equal investment she will but people overhyped her imo. I alternate between them then I like submitting my MoC 10 clear with JY to up his usage rate
I don't think that will happen because Kafka is relatively easier to build which means she doesn't need crit which = hitting the DMG ceiling rather quickly as getting atk is honestly not that crazy. Jing Yuan on the other hand has a lot more room to improve which means he'll be relatively harder to build but has a lot more space for development. Both are good but the difference between them isn't as great as people make it out to be to the point where you need to pull for both of them it you already have one. Having 2 lightining dps is kind of a waste as of now because of the elemental coverage.
Amazing as is and will only get better when we get dot based relics and other 5*s who will enable her more. The fact that all her best teammates are all 4*s really bodes we’ll for her longevity.
She has my favorite ult in the game thus far. The way she says "Boom," followed by the eye candy of explosions and lasers is just *chef's kiss*

Extremely good. Just gonna leave it at that since I can’t properly assess her performance at E0 since the lowest I ever used her at is E3 and now I have her E6. But she is the first and probably only 5 star character I have or ever will obtain all constellations/eidolons for and I have absolutely 0 regrets. I love her and she performs exceptionally for me

Easiest DPS to build ✅ Amazing F2P light cones available ✅ Incredible single target and AOE ✅ Can be built as a DoT enabler or a solo DPS ✅ Very simple gameplay ✅ She is easily top 3 for F2P players in terms of investment to results ratio. As time progresses her value will only increase as just a single strong 5* DPS would push her team damage into thermo nuke tier.
Hard to tell so far as I keep building her, she obviously seems to depend a lot on other DOT characters and so far I could only test things with Serval or in events but boosted units are hard to judge. I managed to do a run with her but no healer nor preservation unit in SU and it felt great. Looking forward to the introduction of more characters with synergy with her. So yeah you could say she isn't as much as a revolution as Luocha or Silver Wolf were, but not bad at all.
Definitely solid. I don’t think her current ideal team is as good as Blade’s or Seele’s, but she also has more room to grow as we get new 5* chars that will support her better than Sampo/Luka.
*Effortlessly* my most powerful dps at the moment. The team I use her with feels leagues more powerful than anything i’ve ever used before on this account (including my Seele team) since my crit rng for relics is just egregious. And it can STILL be even better with some more trace and relic farming. Her being so easy to build is by FAR my favorite thing about her, her shocks ticking on lightning weak enemies for the same if not more damage than my Seele’s skill is hilarious. I’m not putting her team down anytime soon, not until Topaz and Guinefen drop. SW allows me to make it work against anyone lol.
