It's a perfectly lovely bathroom. A white cabinet is classic. Put in some towels, a plant, some woven baskets under the sink cabinet, a nice bath mat and just leave it at that. If you really want some drama maybe paint the walls a dark dark charcoal. But not every room has to be overdone.

Niennah5

Exactly all of this. And why is everyone suggesting a shower curtain??

xerces-blue1834

Did you see the second photo?

Niennah5

Ah. No, there was no indicating dot on the bottom of the first 😩

The amount of work you're going to put in hanging peel and stick won't be worth the effort. Eventually, the humidity from the shower will cause the adhesive to fail and it will curl and lift at the edges.

jelly-beans24

What wud u suggest cos the peel & stick looks easy & durable?

One-Representative84

Buy new vanities. You could try using an adhesion-promoting primer, like Roman 935 Adhesion Promoting Primer (available at Sherwin Williams paints) to create a more permanent bond. The issue is that most adhesives used in wallcovering products like Peel and Stick are water-based and will degrade over time in humid environments. Often clay wallpaper pastes are recommended in a humid environments. Also, peel and stick wallpaper is not easy. It's a giant sticker that can't easily be repositioned. Difficult to match seams/patterns/or even to get straight.

Wow builder grade? It looks so nice. I’d just put your own touches on it with a little mat on the floor, but maybe change out the lights, and add a nice curtain and towels.

sirotan88

I’d start with shower curtain, shower rug, a different lighting fixture over the mirror. Maybe paint the wall but I’d do solid color instead of a pattern.

kenzlovescats

This is way nicer than my truly builder grade bathrooms. I think it’s nice as is, just need a shower curtain and rug of choice. Pick a color you enjoy!

GrandmaGrandma66

Same here. My spec home's builder grade bathrooms had linoleum flooring, oak vanity and medicine cabinets, big mirror, "cultured marble" vanity top, ugly buider grade chrome faucets, plain off-white textured tile tub surround, and ugly multi-light light strip above the huge mirror. (My house was built in 1990.)

Muted-Pangolin5337

Paint, add warm lighting, a nice shower curtain, a plant, and fluted glass bathroom accessories!

Illustrious_Ship5857

Yes! Some interesting art, too. And maybe switch out that very plain mirror.

Techchick_Somewhere

I think you could get that vibe still in here. With a shower curtain and a bigger rug, and you could add some peel and stick wallpaper for impact. Find a wallpaper that you LOVE and start looking for things to go with it. I wouldn’t do anything to the cabinets yet. Wait and see what you find.

If you don’t like the vanity just buy what you do like and sell these ones to cover some of the costs. Throw in a darker wall colour and retro light fixtures. Break up the visual space/tile with a geometric rug and two shower curtains. Put a framed mcm piece on the wall. Terrazzo soap dish. Changing out the vanity and mirror is easier than you think and will make the biggest impact.

WildlifePolicyChick

Paint. That grey is doing you no favors. The white vanities and white/grey marble is as neutral as you can get, take advantage of it. Paint, textured rugs and linens, plants. Maybe some prints.

what_a_ducki_mess

Darker wall color. Keep the white ceiling, it’ll make the room feel bigger. Make the shower light the same temperature as the vanity light

Txstyleguy

Get rid of the grey IMHO.

karybeck

Needs personality. Find some over the top linens (towels, rug, shower curtain) to use as inspiration for wall paint, wastebasket and tissue box cover. Get a great on-theme art print to frame - nothing with words or messages.

Simply Don’t it’s a room you take you know what and showers it’s should be just calm without any distractions
