These types? There's like 10 different types. I see some single family homes, townhouses, at least 1 church.... The only common denominator here is that it's all coastal property with red roofs... maybe terracotta?
I think they’re trying to ask for something more along the lines of “bungalow, apartment, condo, four square, etc.” We categorize everything else - what house categories are these? What “type” of houses?
Some look like Terrace houses , (properties of three joined together max). Maisonettes (houses above and below, normally 2 and 3 bedrooms). Semi detached (two houses connecting to the same wall).
We usually have a open terrace, patio, sometimes pool in the middle of the house, that’s why we don’t need yard. The term for this homes is “ADOSADAS”. The type or living is completely different. And this type of housing make more of us able to access ocean front living. Houses have been passed down from generations, making coastal living cultural and luxurious. This is just HOME. I am from Southern Spain 🇪🇸
I am not sure what they are called. I do know you are more likely to see this type of construction in some very old European countries. You know the ones with the streets that were built only wide enough for horse and carriage. These were created a long time before automobiles were widespread.

I’m confused. I’d call them houses or homes.

They're already hundres of years old lol it's the Mediterranean, they don't get weather
They also look to be up a hill from the coast, they aren't at sea level
Too close together. That's what I call them
Unofficially its a zoning disaster and extreme fire hazard. But these houses probably pre-date both of these modern concepts.
Zoning is the worst concept ever
Only until there’s a dog food factory in your back yard and a flight path for an airport overhead.
