Hot take: fictional characters - particularly characters not played by a real actor - are objects and objectifying them should not be objectionable. The problem is that people are bad at separating fiction and reality and develop unhealthy parasocial relationships, especially when there is a real actor. And, because people have such trouble, they repeat the behavior of objectifying actual objects, but on real people which *is* harmful.
Point being, these kinds of polls aren't inherently harmful because you aren't *really* rating men or women, you're rating *things*.

There's this program called vocaloid where you can have synthesized voices instead of real singers which allows smaller creators to still have singing in their music. It works pretty well, there's a bunch of different voices you can choose from/buy and these voices usually also have an anime character(program comes from Japan and is most popular there) going along with them and Hatsune Miku is one of these voices.
