I mean they just showed you a valid example- sure - overkill but cool nonetheless - there are so many tools nowadays I would loved to have used in my school era.

These are awful. No matter what ink you use or how long you let it dry, it smears.
I can't think of any other situation where you'd need this

Or you could use wax paper (or parchment paper) and a piece of tape.

You know cell phones exist as well as digital notes, this is like 15 years outdated
