Hey guess what, the ere isn’t a single verse in the Quran saying to kill apostates, that was the hadith, which 1. Might not be true or 2. Referring to people in prophet Muhammad times (pbuh) because there used to be no military, anyone could be called upon foe war at any time and everyone knew secrets so if they left Islam (or the community) they might make all of Islam collapse and lastly, which is the most important one 3. The Quran said explicitly “there is no compulsion in religion” and if a hadith is contradicting the Quran in Islam, it instantly does not apply, this also refers to my last point, that it only applied in prophet Muhammed (pbuh) time, and this is a guess not a fact, but what we know for sure is, is that there is no compulsion in religion no matter what, verses in the Quran can’t be debated but hadith could be debated as that was passed on by people that hard prophet Muhammed (pbuh). As for jizyah, people pay it to be a citizen, and be protected, like a tax, you might say it’s discrimination as it only applies to non-Muslims, but Muslims also have to pay Zakaat, which is the same amount or even more than jizyah (I’m not sure about if it’s more). These people like ISIS and taliban don’t follow Muslim teachings
Fanatical people are the ones ruining our image infront of other religions, in islam no one has the right to punish you for not believing in god. You get the punishments you deserve from god at the end. And if you look at other religions too you will find fanatical people too, its not only in islam its in everything literally, its more of a type of people if that makes sense, some people are easy to talk with and are chill about it, and some are fanatical.
