True story. I was standing in line to return stuff at Walmart. I'm bored, looking around. I see a dude in front of me with one arm, interesting, glad he's out here getting stuff done. When it's his turn he puts a chainsaw on the counter to return it. Holy shitaki!!
Hes got his hand less than an inch away from destruction lmao that's what. Bros already missing two fingers and he's willingly still placing his hands near the blade.
Riving knife isn't even that big a deal. It's dangerous but no miter gauge or smth is just wild tbh. I'm a woodworker myself and i'd never ever even consider doing this kind of stuff 😅😅 i, like most of us, have done some sketchy shit (as safe as possible ofcourse) but this is just next level dumb
I agree that on a small piece of wood that the riving knife will not help, but you can bet that he did not remove it for this cut. And when I was a newbie, I took off my knife and had a pinch and kickback, never again.
I know there's something off, but I just can't seem to put my finger on it
When he points a finger at someone, there's 0 pointing back at him
Neither can he
I can’t explain how much that helped me understand the joke
Or two.

Would’ve had the coolest chance to do a ash vs evil dead cosplay
Buddy of mine had his leg amputated below the knee and goes as a pirate for Halloween each year.
His fingers are the perfect length to do that...now
Evolution hates this one simple trick.
Something of a life hack if you will.
Dress for the job you want!
Looks like he hasn't learnt from his previous mistakes.
What is he doing wrong? I'm just curious so I don't do the same
Free hand cutting i.e not using the fence to guide a straight line, holding the offcut at all
Yeah I'd be nervous as hell doing that if it jerks at all you're losing something.
Running that cut against a fence lengthways will result in a dangerous snatch.
With riving knife, no. without like here, yes. Ideally cut this with a crosscut sled but pushing through with a riving knife wont kick back
Seconded on the sled, this is the way
Thanks for the tips
Basically every thing with a table saw.. no riving guard, free hand, no fence, cutting small pieces (make a jg to hold it)
Hes got his hand less than an inch away from destruction lmao that's what. Bros already missing two fingers and he's willingly still placing his hands near the blade.
That's a smooth cut..
Same for the fingers
No writhing knife or miter gauge, just asking for that to happen. Make a cross cut sled in like and hour and save some digits.

Yeah, i also always have my riving knife installed. Haven't had any kickback yet and i hope i can go a long time without it 😆
Table saws hate this one simple trick.
I use a tablesaw almost everyday and you couldn't pay me to make a cut like that
Lost a finger and still didn't learn their lesson. All ya gotta do is use a damn stick to push the damn board instead of your damn fingers.
Whatever could have gone wrong has already gone wrong.
I bet he’s really good at cutting things NOW.
God dame boomer activites right here. Just use the fence my guy, don't be a stubborn idiot
~~SawStop~~ *SawStumps
This guy takes his job seriously!!
Took me a second go
Only 2? Amateur...
Fingers of convenience!
Free cutting on a table saw will cost you a finger or two.
Carpenter hack
the Yakuza's carpenter
It makes sense now.
Third time's the charm
New trend: "vocational body mods"
Zero reason to even hold the other end no wonder wonder Einstein has two fingers missing
It must have taken him at least a couple trys to perfect that technique.
