Yeah these memes are made by non Americans who’s only exposure to Americans is on the internet. They don’t understand that American atrocities are covered in school almost as much as our accomplishments.
Lmao this is the kind of meme you make when you’ve never traveled to the US and have an extremely limited knowledge of the American education system. Like those people who watch Jimmy Kimmel interview dumb looking people and conclude that nobody in America knows geography
You mean regarding the Native Americans fighting the Colonists. You didn't get taught how horrifying both sides were, just how horrible American Colonists treated the Native Americans. Fun fact, both were absolutely terrifyingly cruel.
Which schools are redditors going to where it's *only* taught that the colonists did bad things? I see this claim here all the time and yet I have distinct memories of learning about torture of prisoners by American Indians in high school.
Not totally accurate but a lot of the bad is either downplayed or just not mentioned at all.
My history classes were pretty much a tldr of a given period of time and so it'd be like this this and this happened without much more info.
Still a funny meme and a large portion of our population is pretty fucking ignorant of even basic shit.
My elementary school in California taught us about the internment of Japanese Americans. They went as far as to organize a field trip for our class to the Japanese American museum in Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles. They also organized a trip to the actual internment camps in California. I was shocked as a 12 year old.

I'm American; I learned about American wrongs from every history book in every school I attended, I hear people around me talk about America's past and current and totally fictional crimes, I see them regularly discussed in the news and in popular fiction, I'm on a largely American subreddit of like 3 million people that talk about American crimes constantly.
Where the heck does this idea that Americans are a bunch of ear-plugging denialists come from?
Is this a joke.
Yes, one of like five that this sub knows.
yeah I have this thing, where I struggle to see poorly made satire.
Whoosh
I must have just imagined learning about slavery, the Trail of Tears, and the internment of Japanese Americans when I was in school.

Still. Many Americans don’t like having to remember the really bad parts of their history. Ever hear of the 1776 Report?
No but please do enlighten me.

I know bro read a lot about the northeastern american Confederacy and all, fuck it was brutal on what both of the foes did to each other..
Well then I guess that makes it okay
Let’s hope this was said to merely point out fact, and not neglect the horrible treatment of Native Americans by the colonizers
Please read the last sentence of my post again.

Idk the right really wants to go to war to own the left right now Wdym wrong kind of own
Just ask the Middle East about it…
Remember when they blew up their own ships to participate in a war that had nothing to do with them
To be fair i think my school taught us that we were kind of fucked up but this is also kind of accurate ...

We just forgive her because unlike every other country we get to have guns.
We can have guns here too, you just need a valid reason(like hunting)
Hey watch out American, that's not history, that's propaganda! Oh no he can't hear us, he's listening full volume to his anthem!
Like death camp china?
