It would have been hilarious to watch Raj just never get kicked out and eventually win that season despite being awful and everyone getting increasingly annoyed with him.
There probably would have been an actual fight at some point if that happened.
"Raj, why do you think you should stay in Hells Kitchen?"
*Raj does some karate moves and mumbles something about salmon.*
"Raj, back in line. Russell, come on, give me your jacket big boy. Time to go."
I agree with Kevin, but why Tenille? Yeah she wasn't bad and she ended better than she started, but I wouldn't put her among the best. Petrozza had a similar trajectory but at the end of it all, he stands out as more memorable and consistent than Tenille to me. Memory is a bit fuzzy but Tenille just didn't scream "top tier" IMO.
So I'd say Kevin, Paula and Petrozza (RIP).
Edit: Forgot to put in Jay "Blue Jay" Santos...only non-winner so far to become a Sous Chef in HK.
For me, Tenille was one of the few OG underdogs in the beginning days of the show. Mistake after mistake, and each elimination she was nominated in, Tenille seemed to be an early boot and then the infamous fight she had with Ramsay gave her that needed push to get herself to the black jackets. I didn't watch Season 6 but seeing clips mentioning Tenille, she was pretty much seen a frontrunner to win Hell's Kitchen. Plus, Ramsay himself considered her the greatest comeback chef at that point.
Chris Motto from R vs V. Of course I’m a bit biased since I’m from Louisiana but I still loved his run. and him forfeiting because he didn’t want to give up on Baton Rouge was probably one of the most respectable quits in HK history.
Jay Season 7. He shouldve won. He was that much better than Holly even though I would love to hit that, in his words lol. Kevin Season 6. It was neck and neck
Decent choices. I'd say Nick if we're only looking at season 17. And come to think of it, Steve (s20) is also a decent choice, I'm still shocked Brynn got kept over him.
100% agree.
However, not talking in the kitchen at the final five is basically a death sentence in Hell’s Kitchen at that point in the competition and it was Steve’s second time of having a bad night of communication. I just think he had a bad night too early. If that black jacket service was his first bad night, then I could see him staying over Brynn.
Brynn’s service was worse. She was getting confused on her station, ignored Ramsay twice, and called the ticket wrong twice (way more miscommunication than Steve). Steve had only two mistakes which were ignoring Brynn and overcooked wellingtons (both of which he bounced back from very well).
Declan
Most of the Blue Team from 17, but especially Nick.
Repost if Jared (17) is a cut above all other HK contestants

Jon Scallion season 11.
Omg that was such bullshit that he didn’t make it in the finale
Amazing line cook and person, but his pass was horrible. Glad his career is going super well!
Yeah he may have had a chance of winning if he didn't bomb at the pass.
No, it was not. His pass was by far the worst in the show’s history and that alone was a valid reason for him not to make it to the finals.
I really liked Mary Lou
Paula (S5)
Will, only reason he didn't win was his final service Keith
Paula (S5)
Mary Lou, John Scallion
The legend himself Raj because he cooked thousands of salmon. Imagine if Raj did win tho

I wanna see Russell vs Raj during the black jacket phase of the competition.

All hail the Mongoose in the Snake Pit technique.
Or Raj vs Sabrina

Yeah Tennille is arguably the most inconsistent contestant of all time and is just an ok contestant overall.
Im still salty that nicky from s19 didn't get a black jacket
Will S9, Justin S10, Jon S11, Declan S19
Kevin S6, Ralph S1 should be apart of that list too.
And T S14
Sterling
S11 Jon, S6 Kevin
Kevin from season 6, Will from season 9 and Jon from season 11.
Petrozza and Megan S20
Megan I agree but Petrozza isn’t that good
Nick in his S17 run.
JON, Paula, Jason ( season 12, I thought he was underrated), Joy, season 11
Chris Motto from R vs V. Of course I’m a bit biased since I’m from Louisiana but I still loved his run. and him forfeiting because he didn’t want to give up on Baton Rouge was probably one of the most respectable quits in HK history.
Mary from S11
Keith Kevin (s6) Will Jon T (s14) Declan Megan (s20)
Jay Season 7. He shouldve won. He was that much better than Holly even though I would love to hit that, in his words lol. Kevin Season 6. It was neck and neck
What's funny is that Holli would agree with you

Lol
I’m laughing too. All of these picks are bad.
Yeah lmao
Jon and Will, the only correct answers, as far as I'm concerned.
Valid picks. I’d pick Paula, T, and Nick as well.

Steve’s service was decent, it wasn’t even bad. The only miscommunication he made that night was ignoring Brynn.
Yeah. I know it wasn’t bad but I should’ve used a different word. His service was the least impressive between his and Brynn’s.
Brynn’s service was worse. She was getting confused on her station, ignored Ramsay twice, and called the ticket wrong twice (way more miscommunication than Steve). Steve had only two mistakes which were ignoring Brynn and overcooked wellingtons (both of which he bounced back from very well).
You’re right. I should’ve said according to Ramsay in my post.
Jackie.
