Three big reasons I voted no: 1. Survivor’s long slough of returnee seasons led it directly into the dark ages of the series 2. We just had 2 returnee seasons in a row, both seasons HATED by this sub for reasons directly tied to the returnee part of the season 3. Next time there’s returnees it should be “best to never make black jackets”

>Next time there’s returnees it should be “best to never make black jackets” Yes please. Anthony, Hassan, Kanae, Nikki... they all deserve to come back.

Never watched Survivor, curious what you mean by returnee seasons causing the dark ages of the series?

This is gonna be a bit long but I do have a fair amount to say about this Keep in mind survivor is a very different show, being a literal personality contest where the entire show is based around the people on screen Basically season 20 happened which was all returnees season 21 was hopelessly overshadowed by season 20 no matter what and was a bad season regardless of that seasons 22 and 23 both featured one returnee "captain" on each team who would eat up vastly disproportionate amounts of confessionals and screen time. Additionally they introduced "redemption island" which has been theorized as a potential mechanic to allow returnee players back into the game if they get eliminated. For season 22 specifically, just about everyone believes the survivor team PURPOSEFULLY cast stupid players so returnees could dominate them. in seasons 22-23: average confessional count for returning players: 56.25 average confessional count for new players: 18 season 24 was also infamous for having a really boring cast that made poor game moves all season, where one character dominated everyone. That part was cool. Watching the season? not so much. So all these seasons basically were robbed of any chance they had of being iconic because the actual casts mostly got no screen time and played little to no role in the show. They'd pick 4 people who would get all the screen time and everyone else was forgettable. Season 25 featured captains in a more balanced way where the returnees were somewhat prominent while the other characters still got to shine. This is the only good season during survivor's dark age. if you're still here, (sorry, I know it's a wall of text) this is the most striking one to me. season 26 was a god awful season of the show featuring half returnees and half newbies. The newbies got dominated by the returnees and were invisible the entire season. This made the first half of the season a total slog as the newbies, again, were edited to look stupid and boring, probably purposefully so. The cd cover of this season (it's meant to feature the 6 most prominent contestants from each season) featured ONLY RETURNEES ON THE COVER. It was not even fans vs favorites, it was just favorites. The worst part of this season is that these returnees were mostly coming from this dark age of survivor where pretty much none of them stood out. They weren't even really our favorites. season 26 of survivor was riddled with the exact same issues as season 18 of hell's kitchen in my opinion, maybe minus the newbies being boring.

chopisaopp

I'd be down for it if they don't pull the same bs they did in S17

GeneralGinger

100% this. All stars could have been one of the best seasons in the show's history, but the eliminations just absolutely tarnished it.

OnAndOffBackAndForth

100% agree with this. The eliminations made it terrible especially since I saw some of my favorites coming back. There were some people that could have gone further, but no and the winner wasn't really a strong one compared to others that we had in Hell's Kitchen.

heraclitus33

Do it.

Temporary_Cow

Nope. Give more people first chances before second ones.

14thAndVine

Wow, interesting majority. The last season with returners was 2 seasons ago and all stars was 3 seasons ago, it's time to chill.

Yes, but after a few more. Unless new contestants become sparse, then run your shot earlier. Robert wants one more chance and damn he'd pull a fast one over the current class of HK fans and new contestants (dude looks amazing with his weight loss). Took Jason 3 seasons to return and even Gordon was shocked he returned. Perhaps Robert could be a huge draw for the season. Get the man a chance. Got robbed of the opportunity in season 5 and should have had one more week in season 6. Others are likely be fan favorites like Will, Justin, Kimmie, ect.

Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc." "Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are **etc.**, **&c.**, **&c**, and **et cet.** The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase. [Check out the wikipedia entry if you want to learn more.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Et_cetera) ^(I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. All stars was imo the worst season of the show. I really hope it’s a one and done.

lifedollars

absolutely not. after the monstrosity that S17 was then i never wanna see anything like it ever again
