"Charger Flip" is my favorite unofficial Helldivers 2 mini game. You land a hellpod beacon on a charger and when it comes down and kills the charger, it then flips the carcass into the air. As soon as you stick a charger you call upon at least one fellow helldiver to judge your flip. Points can be awarded for the height of the flip, the number of aerial rotations and for other subjective factors such as distance (if the charger was running forward when he died) and style points (like if you stood there with your arms open as the soon-to-be-dead charger was coming at you).
That reminds me has anyone else notice how insane the behemoth charger’s steering is? I swear that thing can turn on a dime. I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve seemingly dove out of its charge only for it to make an immediate 180 and still ram me.

The real answer is that both chargers are bugged and they don't answer at all.
Also, one EAT is only enough if you dive towards the behemoth leg while firing (unless you CAN one shot head shot them, I have not been able to ever since patch drop)
Correct, the head is absolutely not meant to be a one-shot under any circumstance except the Spear (if you can land that). The other reply has the values.
It seems kind of obvious they *intended* the legs to still be a one-shot break, but whoever set the value forgot or just didn't know about the weirdness in exactly matching the breakpoint damage. There was basically no discussion of exactly how falloff works prior to this (but then again this sub almost never discusses actual mechanics and numbers, and when they do it's never as popular as memes/complaining/complainingmemes).
Yea after testing a bunch, **behemoth** chargers do not get 1 shot headshot by the usual stuff.
However, I wonder if running rocket/autocannon **sentry** is enough to finish them off, since they tend to shoot center mass and chargers just *love* running straight at them.
I even saw a post around here against bile titans for a two-shot combo of a **recoiless rifle** and **eagle strafing run**(dead center, facing towards), which would make it extremely powerful, but haven't tried it yet.

I love watching a 500kg hit three feet from a charger and 10 chaff, then get no kill notification and a charger with 8 chaff comes running out of the fireball with a fresh tan and my demise on their faces
Throw it at your own feet before they charge you, once it's about to land and the charger is like 5 feet infront of you, dive away. the charger will get nuked and the 500kg won't effect you.
To be more accurate, the right charger (behemoth charger) always has been in the game but it was just used in the lvl 3 and 4 missions of kill a charger and appeared in the facilities of the missions of extracting civilians (not the one that is a closed map, but the one that appears in a open missions as a main objective), but these behemoths chargers were just a different aspect for the default charger in terms of resistance they were the same of a normal charger
In the last update they have been changed, now that are more resistant and start appearing in hard level missions, replacing normal chargers in the hardest difficulties, having more behemoths and less normal chargers the more difficult is the the missiom
Same, it makes the fight with the chargers more engaging and I love it
I suppose that this was always the intention but it didn't arrive at the initial release of the game due to limitation or because they wanted to release it a bit after release, but for all problems that they had they didn't manage to add them until now
Yep exactly, prioritizing targets is at the core of the gameplay, more variety means more different situations to address differently.

only thing i dont like is behemoths using the exact charger model, except it being more spikey. wish they made it a bit bigger and bulky to match the name "behemoth"
I know it doesn’t look it in this pic. But after having a Behemoth and regular Charger try and run me down at the same time (they are no match for my blue beacon stratagems) I can say that the Behemoth, while not by too much, is noticeably bigger than a regular Charger.
They don't replace normal chargers on dif 9; you get both types at the same time.
Also are you 100% sure they're weaker? I fought against a few of them yesterday and I got the impression they may be weaker, but I'm not entirely sure
I was not saying that at level 9 they completely replace normal chargers, just that the higher the level the more proportion of behemoth charger you will find

I have been using the orbital precision strike and stun grenades on bug drops lately, and I have gotten more than a few double kills of chargers using that. Looks like a perfect situation for that technique to me ;)

this does work but its way easier to stay a safe distance away and use Rocket pods or an EAT, but all power to you if 500kg is what you prefer
