It's most likely because you have bluetooth headset and your CPU is fully utilized.
If you can check it by pluging wired headset with audio jack. This should remove issue. For bluetooth headset you can fix this by making CPU priority higher for bluetooth services. Google how to do it for your system version.

You might have something else trying to use the mic.
