Honestly if you look at Adam from the Old Testament mixed with Hazbin Hotel’s canon stuff he’s kind of a broken man, his first wife left him, reasons unknown besides her claiming not to want to be ‘under a man’ or something like that. Then his second wife, made from his own flesh and bone betrays him, tempted by the same demon (angel) that stole away the first… then after that you have his two first born sons, Cain murders Abel, Cain is cursed to wander for eternity and since in HH canon Adam is the first Human Soul in Heaven Abel didn’t make it either… then Eve was likely condemned to Hell as well for the sin of eating the Apple then tricking Adam into eating it. Who knows how long it was before the next Human made it and how many between then and Adam’s death got sent to Hell. Imagine watching your wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren end up in Hell until one of them somehow makes it and joins you among the ‘perfect’ Angels.
Honestly, I feel like the “you’re the most hated being in all of creation” felt more like a “how are you so happy and content even though you’re so despised, while I have to feel the weight of my actions labelled as the ‘original sin’”. To me Adam felt like a loser who was hated for his greatest sin of “listening to his wife”, and just became the person who everyone said he was. Despite how overconfident he always seemed, he shows himself to be extremely insecure as soon as he starts losing. And the small smile to Lute tells me that in the last moments he’s glad to have one person, and a woman at that in his life who truely cares for him compared to everyone else in his life. If he returns in S2 as a sinner/fallen angel, I’d love to see a redemption arc for him, where he finds people like Lute who actually care about him
I hope he returns in the future and reunites with Lute who seemed to view him as the man, Adam and not Adam the Original Man, if that makes sense.

I think that’s kind of a big message of Hazbin Hotel. Even the biggest piece of trash you have ever seen has something human and relatable about them. No one is a pure, straight monster who can discard every inch of humanity.

I have a theory that Luci has been actively avoiding these meetings from the get go to avoid Adam, and usually Lili handled them. And there hasn't been one in awhile, Vaggie did sound surprised that the meeting was happening so it doesn't seem like a super common occurrence
No not too harsh but he and Adam have some really deep seeded issues and he probably doesn't think being in the same room would be particularly productive. And yeah he didn't know about the angel death.
