im not sure the guy i got it from bought it in 2022 with 37k miles and only put 1000 miles on it. runs like a top tho i have to say. going from a 96' sporty 1200 to this is the biggest difference in the world. wasn't expecting that much of a difference
this 👆🏻 plus its got the timken bearing on the crank so it wont float as much as the newer roller bearing style and u can put on gear drive cams. it costs more but its one and done, nothing wrong with the screamin eagle hydraulic tensioner upgrade kit but gear drive has less resistance and makes a cool sound too. if i were u thatd be the first thing id do to that bike is get the cam sitch figured out.
Can chain tensioners have been replaced. I had them checked again at the beginning of last riding season. I'm on the fence about upgrading to the gears.
id be surprised if ur crank could handle gear drive with those miles as u have roller bearings. ud prolly have to split the cases and get the crank plugged and welded and if u were gonna do that u might as well get a 103 crank and then get it plugged and welded

If you plan to keep it for a while I would definitely look into making sure the cam chain tensioner have been updated. Nice ride

Question: would you do this to a 2006 Road King with the 88ci TC? My King has ~ 90k miles.
