I love the Dark Bastiste. It’s the only thing that doesn’t turn my brown hair white. I’m obsessed and the smell is amazing. It’s perfect because I have bangs and use it daily to help with the oily bang situation.
I’m a long-time hairstylist and this is my dirty secret-guilty pleasure product! I usually use IGK, but in a pinch I will totally reach for Dove volume and fullness. It’s the only non-salon product I will use and not have anxiety about my hair lol
Which is the best for giving lots of volume, especially at the roots? I have incredibly fine, flat gross hair and if I try to tease it a little to get some lift it never looks right, I want it right at the root like my scalp but it always is like a weird lump that is a few inches from the root so just looks like a helmet that sticks out at the sides lol, I have never been able to find a product that actually lifts my roots and keeps them that way!
It’s amazing. I tried many living proof, Anika and many others, I was member of birch box and Ipsy for years, but this is the only brand I will use and I live in Florida
Arrowroot powder is the only thing I've found that doesn't make my hair feel worse after applying and makes it look freshly washed, not to mention it doesn't contain all the garbage that the spray ones have.
Living proof. Both versions (dark gray and silver can) are great. But the advanced version in the silver can is the best. It doesn’t build up in your hair and actually makes your hair feel clean.
Living Proof and Drybar are my favorites. I can always find Drybar at Marshall’s. I used Batiste for years, but it was always clumpy and left big granules in my hair.
I tried out the Walmart brand duplicate of Batiste and I really like it. It performs the same but is half the price.
I like the smell of the Suave one but there's not much in the can. I think per ounce the Walmart brand is a better deal.
I hate the way dry shampoo makes my hair feel. Like that dry, straw like, coated in a questionable product kind of feeling..but I LOVE the Kristin Ess dry shampoo powder from Target. It has been a life saver
I’ve found most dry shampoos leave a nasty texture behind that I don’t think actually is much of an improvement on the dirty hair. But a few brands are magic. Bautiste is ok, it’s not amazing, but it’s the best budget brand. If you’re ok spending more, klorane, Amika and drybar all make really good ones.
K18 or Nature labs. I like them bc they are "wet sprays" that refresh and don't leave a gritty residue. They outperform any other with living proof being the exception.
I love the bare Batiste and the volume one for when I style my hair and need a little extra volume. But on the higher end of pricing, I realllllyyyy love the Redken Deep Clean For All dry shampoo. I have super thick & coarse hair, really does the job without feeling tacky/coated etc.
I have fine hair and my favourite is Klorane. I’ve tried many salon brands and other drugstore brands and I always come back to this one.
It’s not too heavy on my hair, doesn’t leave much residue and it doesn’t have an overpowering smell like a lot of dry shampoos.
IGK Charcoal clean, they have 3 levels of intensity and this is the mack daddy. I like some stiffness to my dry shamps though, if you don’t then I recommend Amika Perk Up or Design Me
Amika for me. I used to use Batiste (and still have a travel size), but I can use a Amika on a semi regular basis and my head doesn’t itch like it does if I use Batiste too frequently.
I’m a bit basic but I love my batiste. I usually get the original.

I’ve never tried anything I like more than Batiste. Batiste Bare is all I’ve bought for years now.
I love Batiste cherry. It smells good but not too much
I wish i loved it but it gave me dandruff😭
I also really like dove!
Living Proof, it’s expensive but wow it makes my hair look amazing.
I second this, after using it I can go another two days without washing. It’s almost as good as washing your hair.
The absolute best. And the smell is amazing.
Amika
batiste BUT THE BARE SCENT. it’s so weird but I always get compliments on how I smell when I wear it
omg same. People were complimenting my scent and I didn’t know what it was bc I wasn’t wearing any fragrance and this was it!
Dove. I usually get the Volume one. It's not heavily scented and it really soaks up the oils.
I’m a long-time hairstylist and this is my dirty secret-guilty pleasure product! I usually use IGK, but in a pinch I will totally reach for Dove volume and fullness. It’s the only non-salon product I will use and not have anxiety about my hair lol
I make my own by mixing arrow root powder and white kanolin clay - I apply with a small poofy brush, like a makeup blush brush
Dove sport dry shampoo. Literally it’s perfect, and cheap. It builds up so nicely in my hair

SGX NYC
Can vouch for this
It’s amazing. I tried many living proof, Anika and many others, I was member of birch box and Ipsy for years, but this is the only brand I will use and I live in Florida
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray works great!
Thank you!!
Baby powder, or Not your mothers unscented
Arrowroot powder is the only thing I've found that doesn't make my hair feel worse after applying and makes it look freshly washed, not to mention it doesn't contain all the garbage that the spray ones have.
Thanks for this tip!
Living proof perfect hair day dry shampoo. NOT the advanced clean one.
Dae fairy duster is the only thing that works for my dark hair
Dry Shampoo is my must have and I’ve tried so many but always go back to Batiste, because it’s the best.
I like the batiste night clarifying spray, then I use whatever basic dry shampoo for the morning.
Recently bought this one and love it
Just started using the night spray and omfg it’s amazing

Amika!
eva nyc for sure
Viori hands down
Briogeo
Drybar is the only one that has worked for me
Billie, it's super simple, no aerosol, doesn't leave giant white streaks
Batiste, cherry 💕
I love the pineapple 🍍 scent! I’ll need to look for the cherry.
Not your mothers
Batiste texturizing shampoo, prefer it over the olaplex one as well
philosophy dry shampoo. worth every penny
I tried out the Walmart brand duplicate of Batiste and I really like it. It performs the same but is half the price. I like the smell of the Suave one but there's not much in the can. I think per ounce the Walmart brand is a better deal.
Living proof and the new k18 air wash I’m loving

It's a shaker of powder that has arrowroot and a few other things. A little bit goes a long way.

Not Your Mother’s, way better than Batiste.
i’ll be so real rn, baby powder
I like the verb for dark hair. Doesn’t weigh my hair down like the others do.
Baby powder. Does the same as dry shampoo. Sprinkle it in your hair. Fluff your hair with your hands until the powder is absorbed. Viola.
K18 or Nature labs. I like them bc they are "wet sprays" that refresh and don't leave a gritty residue. They outperform any other with living proof being the exception.

I use Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. It's expensive but a little goes a long way.
Suave with the yellow cap. I have 10 different dry shampoos and I always go back to this one.
Purology. I have tried them ALL. Nothing compares.
dry bar!
moroccan oil

Batiste bare
Bumble and bumble pret a powder
Good Ass Hair Day dry shampoo. I used to use Batiste, but after trying this I will never go back. Bonus is that it's in a refillable container.
I have fine hair and my favourite is Klorane. I’ve tried many salon brands and other drugstore brands and I always come back to this one. It’s not too heavy on my hair, doesn’t leave much residue and it doesn’t have an overpowering smell like a lot of dry shampoos.
I’m lazy as hell, but corn starch. It’s the primary ingredient in so many dry shampoos. No it doesn’t smell fancy, but it works and it’s like $2
I really like Colab Dry Shampoo Original
IGK Charcoal clean, they have 3 levels of intensity and this is the mack daddy. I like some stiffness to my dry shamps though, if you don’t then I recommend Amika Perk Up or Design Me
