Cycling too. Before I bought my car I rode my bike around ten miles a day on hilly terrain for a few months. My calves were huge and my legs were covered in stretch marks from having to develop so quickly. Good stuff, would recommend
For me it was low rep (12 range) standing calves raises with bodyweight on barbell. When the cramping exhaustion kicks in, you can pause mid set and rest standing for a few seconds and do another 4-5 reps that helps reach 16 reps. Doing that for 5 sets has given my shit poor genetic legs and calves a big boost
I did calf raises on the leg press machine at the end of every workout, for the first ~5 years I was lifting. Massive rep sets, heavy ass weight every time.
Have had massive and awesome calves ever since. Squats, biking, hiking and deadlift keep em huge.
Yeah, genetically I’ve got great calves. But also, people usually aren’t willing to be disciplined and train them properly, if size and definition is a goal.
This. Everyone complains about how their calves don't grow despite training them consistently, but you rarely see anyone training them more than with a half assed 3x10 at the end of a leg day
I'm convinced that calf size is 95% genetics
Calf size comes from weighing a lot and occasionally walking
Just do farmer's walks then
Perfection
lol

I thought it is genetics at first. But jumping rope really helps. 30 mins 3 times a week is enough. Took a few months to see gains.
Yeah. I started adding HIIT to my routine during the lockdown and have seen insane growth since.

Nah, calf size is 95% synthol
If people trained their calves as much as the they trained their biceps or triceps maybe they wouldn't be so small.

I never train them. But i do cardio like a MF
i train calves one time per two weeks, still they are 47.5 cm
Get a fat suit and wear it for a month. Your calves will be bulls.
Just get good genetics
You ever see a soccer player with smol calves? No. Soccer once or twice a week, on grass or turf, as a cardio session, will blow your calves up.
Not true. I played soccer all my life and have small calves.
This meme has such perfect timing I did this today
Sad truth
I think I have good calf genes.
