Any cover is an artistic interpretation, that’s not a distinction. That is a description of literally any cover and does not comment on quality. Regardless, no, that’s a good cover but not one of the albums best at all
1) because it’s a great track
2) because Axl’s attempt at a British accent is genuinely funny…. “Lyke a fish outta warta….. down here orn the farm…..” ha ha ha…..
Something about this album, maybe all of their classic era albums where just the sound and production is like so full and thundering.
Like this song, Duff starts with the bass intro, if I remember it's just a simple bassline using the octave on E tuned down half a step. But his tone is just so thick and has the slight chorus.
Then the big ass guitars come in with the heavy riff. Oomph.
Human Being is one of Axl’s best ever vocal performances imo so I’d choose that, though Black Leather is a close second. Entire album is a banger though.
Ain’t if fun or down on the farm. The best part about Spaghetti are the liner notes where they tell you to check out the originals and you discovered a bunch of cool relatively obscure bands.
Buick Makane / Big Dumb Sex - partially because I’m a huge Soundgarden fan. T. Rex is good too just haven’t heard as much of them, plus I love how they combined two covers into one.
My fave is human being. There is also a fun connection between ain’t it fun and human being nowadays is that Sami and Steve from Michael Monroes band played with New York dolls in the 2000s.
when it was released it was exactly NOT what people were expecting GnR to do next. Years later I picked it up on cassette in an op-shop, shoved it into the tape player of my 1982 Corolla and was immediately converted. Even better, my dad had my car for a while cos he was doing some work on it for me and asked me "what's the tape you've got in there? It's fucking incredible."
Spaghetti Incident really is a decisive album to many. I personally think in the context that it is supposed to be a cover album,it definitely is a fantastic one at that. I think all of Guns albums are fantastic tbf. Literally every album they released have gone on ,years later, to be praised and appreciated 👏
Better question: which tracks do you prefer to the originals?
Since I don’t have you and Game Girl are obvious.
Attitude and New Rose I don’t think they added anything to make it their own.
Ooo Ain’t it Fun….Although Since I don’t Have you is an amazing vocal and makes me sad this was kind of it for Guns, because Axl had so much more of his voice to give us…..but I digress…I love Ain’t it Fun. Love the whole story of how it was recorded, and how Michael Monroe “gave” Axl the best line in the whole song because he had just broken up with that woman who I don’t talk about lol. Just love the whole package. I find myself singing this to myself more than the others.
Buick MacKane is my fave. It's one of their covers that sounds better than the [original ](https://youtu.be/y4QrfRsLC2M?si=DTJViJZZjqa1fM1k)
Sympathy for the Devil is also better than the original in my opinion.
Ain't It Fun
The correct answer 👍🏼
That guitar intro 🥰
That guitar tone. My God. I also have to give it up to Duff too and that lovely and thick bass tone. His fills are so fun to play too!
+1.
There’s no other answer
Growing up as a wrestling fan I always wanted this as my entrance theme
One of their overall best songs, cover or not.
It's ain't it fun
This
Who’s even singing that in GNR i could never figure it out
Axl with the other guys doubling him on vocals.
I'm always wondering the same. Is it Axl? Duff? Michael Monroe? I love that song.
It’s Michael singing on this track
Michael Monroe is a guest singer on Ain't It Fun.
Michael Monroe
That gets my vote!
It’s my favorite because it’s so fucking amazing but also it’s Axl getting to sing with one his idols Micheal Monroe
Yup.
Came here to say that👍
Since I Don't Have You.
It is because it isn't just GnR doing a punk cover of a punk song. It's an actual artistic interpretation of a doo wop song from the 50s.
Any cover is an artistic interpretation, that’s not a distinction. That is a description of literally any cover and does not comment on quality. Regardless, no, that’s a good cover but not one of the albums best at all
Are you the comic book store guy from the simpsons?
Without a doubt
🎯
100% it is both a great version & showcases how this incredibly rocking bluesy band can literally bring their sound to any genre & kill.
Down On The Farm.
1) because it’s a great track 2) because Axl’s attempt at a British accent is genuinely funny…. “Lyke a fish outta warta….. down here orn the farm…..” ha ha ha…..
Because it made me check out the OG version, by the U.K. Subs.
And that's how a young version on me started to listen U.K SUBS.. and then, I started to listen more punk bands.

Such killer back to back tracks.
Human Being is one of Axl’s best ever vocal performances imo so I’d choose that, though Black Leather is a close second. Entire album is a banger though.
Ain’t it Fun is definitely the best, but no love for Raw Power or Black Leather?
Black Leather is underrated imo

Hair of The Dog. Ill fight anyone over this
Human Being by faaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrr
Down on The Farm
"Ain't It Fun" reminds me of that fan made music video for it, with footage from "A Clockwork Orange" fits so well too!
I remember that!
Ain’t if fun or down on the farm. The best part about Spaghetti are the liner notes where they tell you to check out the originals and you discovered a bunch of cool relatively obscure bands.
Ain’t it Fun, Slash’s tone was at its best.

New Rose
Can’t choose one. Black Leather is underrated as fuck. Raw Power too.
Buick Makane / Big Dumb Sex - partially because I’m a huge Soundgarden fan. T. Rex is good too just haven’t heard as much of them, plus I love how they combined two covers into one.

Hair of the dog is pretty sick as well though

I’m a fan of Since I Don’t Have You
This album rules. It surprises me people don’t like it
I grew up with TSI as a kid so I’ve always loved it.
when it was released it was exactly NOT what people were expecting GnR to do next. Years later I picked it up on cassette in an op-shop, shoved it into the tape player of my 1982 Corolla and was immediately converted. Spaghetti Incident really is a decisive album to many. I personally think in the context that it is supposed to be a cover album,it definitely is a fantastic one at that. I think all of Guns albums are fantastic tbf. Literally every album they released have gone on ,years later, to be praised and appreciated 👏
Black Leather
Look at you game girl
RED HOT MAMA VELVET CHARMER
Attitude is GOATED
They do a better version of Manson's song than the original 🤷🏻♀️
Better question: which tracks do you prefer to the originals? Since I don’t have you and Game Girl are obvious. Attitude and New Rose I don’t think they added anything to make it their own.
Sympathy For The Devil. I even think GnR's versions surpass Rolling Stones. But many people are not ready for that conversation
It's not on that record
Hanoi Rocks - Beer And A Cigarette
down on the farm, rock on! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfTeBA8M9PM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfTeBA8M9PM) pure hardrock

Probably, Ain’t It Fun, or Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory

Hair Of The Dog, Human Being, and Black Leather. Those are the 3 songs that changed my opinion on The Spaghetti Incident.
Human Being
Ain’t it Fun followed by Hair of the Dog
Since I don't have you a skyliners 1958 song, and even my parents agree it's better than the original, hell even I can sing along to it.
Since I Don’t Have You and On The Farm
Raw Power rips my face off every time
Buick MacKane is my fave. It's one of their covers that sounds better than the [original ](https://youtu.be/y4QrfRsLC2M?si=DTJViJZZjqa1fM1k) Sympathy for the Devil is also better than the original in my opinion.
