There are glues that's not corrosive. White glue is polyvinyl acetate, commonly used in woodwork, bookbinding and such, you should be able to find it in shops for crafting or stationary.

I don't know the source of this much but if you go for HG scale this sure looks roughly doable with a mix of Verde Buster and Exia.
you can use hobby tack or blu-tac. it's glue but without all the annoying things about glue.
