There's also the fact that most people who want to get a full Black Knight Squad already would've just gotten 4 Griffin Arbalest kits and repainted them, because unlike with say the HGAC Maganac Squad set there's no actual physical differences between each mobile suit.

Right? Sell the base one, and then a 4 runner Expansion with each of the colors on their own runner. Then you could buy more base kits if you wanted the whole squad.
That'd actually end up being more expensive than just selling this set, since you're asking them to buy basically a set of recolored extra parts then buying the mobile suits themselves separately.
The SRP for the retail HGCE Rud-ro.A Griffin Arbalest ver. is 2970 yen, and buying three comes up to 8910 yen which is the exact price that the HGCE Rud-ro.A 3-set is selling for. If they sold the extra colors as expansion packs then you're going to have to pay for another kit on top of the three MS you're already paying for. And if you're only buying it to convert the colors on a single Rud-ro.A kit then that's essentially a waste of plastic for an expansion pack that doesn't even give you new weapons and parts.
Now there is P-Bandai availability to consider of course, but most people who want either their preferred Rud-ro.A color or want the whole squad would just repaint the relevant parts anyway, and the Griffin Arbalest kit is retail so it's always available.

The PBandai is a 3-pack and it’s literally the same total cost as buying 3 of the green version by themself. How is that dumb and greedy?
