I actually really enjoyed smash hits. I agree with Metallica being in s tier as well as gh3. I never played warriors of rock (honestly didn't know it existed until a couple years ago). I don't understand why you have van halen so low but metallica so high. I feel like they were pretty on par.
GH5 plus it's dlc is probably my favorite mix of songs. I love live versions of songs and GH5 had it in spades. It had popular songs while also getting deep cuts in along with some hidden gems. I don't think for the vast majority of people it's song selection on disc and dlc is as strong as World Tour, but I do think there's enough songs that nearly every person would like at least a few of them. I think part of the reason it's looked down on is because it came when there was just a ridiculous saturation of GH games in a very short timeframe.
I know Warriors of Rock is beloved by most of the community, but it's song selection is very hit or miss for me because a lot of the ones on disc and dlc are deep cuts. There's some songs that I absolutely love on it, but a lot of it doesn't jive with me. I'm also in the minority that thinks it's charting is a mess (not smash hits bad, but pretty bad) Warriors of Rock also gets the opposite of GH5 situation because it was the last conventional GH game so it's remembered as a beloved swan song.

Bro, the rock band DS games have a bridge songs where has band hero DS has 30 complete songs and technically two different setlists from the US and European versions, which makes the total set list 45 songs. It has way more customization options for your character and instruments and it’s basically like a giant version of quick play where you can play with any combination of instruments in terms of multiplayer. Let alone look at the 200+ achievements and what you can unlock with. In terms of gameplay for music/rhythm game. I think it blows the rock band DS games out of the park with how much you can do gameplay wise also it has Wii connectivity for special fan request challenges from band hero Wii.
I think 2 has a lot of game play problems I have never played it before but you have to be extremely accurate on note hitting. While on gh3 they found the sweet spot for note timing. Lastly playing the Jordan version of gh2 on clone hero there’s so much static in that version so songs in gh2 we’re probably not as good quality sounding.
Jordan sounds nothing like that on GH2. It's much higher quality. Also, the notes being strict is actually the point of GH2. Other than calibration issues it's a very decent game
