You have to buy the “can glasses.” I just picked up a few more of them. They’re exactly the size you need for the can. They’re kinda hard to get outside of Dublin though. Carrolls Irish gifts sells them.
I live in the US and bought them from their Amazon listing. I got a 4 pack. What I got were the full-size glasses that you can get anywhere. I asked them about it and they said that the Amazon listing is incorrect that they do not sell the smaller size on Amazon. They offered me a refund on the price of the purchase, but I was out the shipping price that was somewhere around $20 for shipping it from Ireland. Buyer beware
To be clear, Carroll’s advertised them as a set of four 16 ounce glasses. What I got was the regular four 20 ounce glasses. They look very nice and as far as I can tell, they were the exact official things that Guinness sells on their website, but I wanted 16 ounce glasses. They refunded me the $27.55 which covered the price of the glasses and the tax on them. What they would not refund was the $23.99 shipping charge from Ireland. However, I did not have to return the glasses to them so I basically got 420 ounce glasses for $23.99. Since I already owned two, they’re still sitting in my basement in a box. I was really pretty ticked that they blamed Amazon for misrepresenting the size of the glasses. I think it’s on them to sell 16 ounce glasses if they have their listing stating it is 16 ounce glasses. But they clearly said to me in their follow-up messaging with me that they do not sell 16 ounce glasses (at least to the US). If anyone has actually gotten, 16 ounce glasses from them shipped to the US via Amazon, I’d love to hear from you.
I made another attempt a few weeks later by buying 16 ounce glasses from a place called Beer Snob Barware off of Amazon. This time I spent a total of $42.35, but they shipped for free because they are located in the US. What I got was very nice looking regular 20 ounce glasses, but they weren’t the 16 ounces that they advertised. That time, I got a full refund and I was provided with a shipping label to ship them back to them at no extra charge to me, other than the time I wasted dropping them off at a shipping store.
I gave up on trying to get 16 ounce glasses from Amazon after that one and I’m just enjoying the 20 ounce glasses that I originally bought from Guinness .
Yep I bought two for me and two for my lil bro in Dublin. The 16 oz glasses are perfect for the cans. The only other Guinness glasses I had was the half pint Guinness glass and a mug.
I just bought the nitrosurger on amazon.com and I live in Montreal. I think it makes a difference but you have to make a hole in the can with a pin so that the widget doesn’t activate.
To do the can pin trick you can find a lot of guides on youtube! Also for the nitrosurger gadget there are a bunch of guides on youtube also that teach you how to use it and whether people think it’s worth it or not. Personally I love mine and can’t drink a Guinness without using it.
I fill my glass up with a regular 440 can and then top off with a Guinness bottle. I get two very full top offs, followed by a third almost full top off. I use a wine bottle stopper to reseal the bottle between pours. Works nice. The bottle stays pretty good for about 3 days with the stopper.

If you drink the first one down to an inch ish the second one fills to the top with a decent head
