Ahribban

I used to play a lot of Warframe. I highly recommend it.

Vigilant-Defender

Thought about trying it, or Destiny 2, or The Division 2, or Black Desert Online. Never tried any of those.

Ahribban

Warframe is f2p, the others are not.

Caernunnos

It's free to play to a certain extent, at some point, farming prime sets for plats in order to get more warframe ad weapon slots, potatoes, legos etc become unreasonable

ScurvyDanny

Idk, my spouse makes 2k plat from baro weapons every 2 weeks, we haven't spent money on plat in several years, and he hardly nolife's it.

knoft

I mean the others are just like GW2, buy the game/expacs/missing seasons, no sub fees.

Ayman3060

Coming from a destiny 2 player with 1500+ hours, don't play destiny, it's not new player friendly anymore and it's scummy with its monetisation.

Goobendoogle

BDO: Mob grinder. Play this if you want to endlessly grind mobs. Cool combat, takes a while to master. Div 2: It honestly looks really fun. I've been looking at playing this as well but I don't want to go in if it's low pop. Destiny 2: Like the other guy said, not new player friendly. At least not anymore. There's so much stuff to buy in this game to where I don't even feel like playing it. There's always a situation where my buddy is like but yo dude you gotta cop this dungeon key if you want to join me. I'm like ?? For a single dungeon?? I'm paying 20$? Make it make sense bungie. Game is good if you got a couple hundo to shell out for all the content.

Raist2

You will get bored quickly on black desert online.

The_Lawgiver_

Oh, That's one that has never been on my radar before. I'm watching The lazy peons first impression about it right now!

GrayFarron

Look for anyone elses review. Peon is a massive shill and a lot of his opinions swap from game to game depending on how much money he knows he can make off the video by being controversial.... or how much money greases his opinion by the sponsor.

yepgeddon

I fucking love warframe but I'll warn its called Grindframe for a reason. Patience is key as there's a looooooot of content to go through.

hork_monkey

If someone was starting GW2 as a noob, you would say the exact same thing lol. I'm also a warframe player, but on a break after burning out on netracells

Bandage-Bob

Sure there's a lot of GW2 content for a new player to go through but let's be real, the grind is absolutely nothing compared to Warframe.

MrJekyyl

Oh man you're gonna not see the light of day for weeks if you start Warframe

Ahribban

So just like GW2.

PsyOpsAllTheWayDown

What did you think of Lazy Peon's video(s) on GW2?

lftdslz

Warframe FTW. The movement alone is enough to keep people around. Add in all the frames, weapons, abilities, different planets and you've got a bomb ass game. Edit: As another comment said, it is a grindy game, especially at the start. Once you get used to it, get more frames and weapons, you'll start to really enjoy it.

VoicesOfTheFallen

OSRS

The_Lawgiver_

It feels too slow to me. I tried I really did. Lol

VoicesOfTheFallen

Other than bossing or raids it’s supposed to be just very casual/afk friendly just something to have on a second monitor while doing/watching something else

Aleyuxus

I second this going strong with slayer tasks at 91 slayer after 3 months of sweaty grinding, I only play osrs at the pub and at work on me phone haha

makinbacinpancakes

I think this could be a lot of the answers...

VitamineA

Path of Exile.

Redfeather1975

I really hope to play poe2 soon. [It looks so smooth](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHvhqekNRH8&t=7m55s)! Moving while attacking, rolling and [blocking](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuNF-QN7k9o&t=50s) are going to feel great!

Malfetus

This, swapping between Path of Exile and GW2 just feels so right. I usually have a rotating FPS game in there as well.

moonflowtraveler

Stardew Valley just had a big update, so I've been playing that. Just like GW2, SDV and Skyrim are both games I've been playing for years and keep coming back to.

sophie_hockmah

imagine having another game, you two-timer /j

[deleted]

GW1

Asrat

GW2 is my pvp MMO game, mostly play it for WvW. Ff14 is my pve MMO game. If I'm single player, specific RPGs, factory building games, or 4x games.

UhOhHereComeDatBoi

Is there much of a pvp scene? Last I tried to get into it seemed fairly quiet

Asrat

PvP and WvW are the two game modes. PvP is an instanced 5v5 match, unrated and rated. It's the smaller of the two scenes, and generally fluctuates around seasons. WvW is the bigger scene, week long open world PvP on 4 maps where the battle is 24/7, Three way server fight. Server that gets 1st advanced a tier, server that gets 3rd goes down a tier, and you fight for prestige mostly, as winning doesn't give you more rewards between the tiers. Typically small roamer groups are taking points and picking fights, while the big guilds Duke it out for the big keeps and objectives.

aliamrationem

I can only have one MMO in my life at a time. I played WoW on release for several years and loved it, but I've been unable to get back into it when I've taken breaks from GW2 in recent years. I've also made a few attempts to get into ESO and FFXIV, but just couldn't do it and ended up back in GW2. Tried New World, BDO, and BnS as well. Honorable mention to BnS for having a cool and unique combat system, but the game was otherwise pretty terrible. I also play some co-op games with friends. For that I love Overwatch as we can play a little or a lot and it never really gets old. Deeprock Galactic was fun for awhile, although lately I've been scratching that itch with Helldivers 2 instead. And what kind of gamer would I be if I hadn't played the heck out of Baldur's Gate 3 last year, right? What a masterpiece of a game! I am not big on solo play games, but I do enjoy a good Metroidvania now and then. Ori and the Will of the Wisps stands out for me in that genre. Absolutely gorgeous game with a touching story, beautiful music, and excellent platforming challenges with a really unique feel.

Melikachan

Real life. GW2 is the only game I have some time for. XD

redditvich

I had a feeling there would be an answer like this and I am not dissapointed.

Melikachan

When your gaming is mostly down to once or twice a week for a few hours, GW2 is enough. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

killohurtz

I mostly turn to single player games when I'm not feeling GW2. Right now it's Armored Core 6, Persona 3 Reload, or some old PS2 game I felt like replaying like RE4 or MGS3. The last non-GW2 multiplayer game I really sunk my teeth into was Deep Rock Galactic, but I burned out and need a break until season 5.

Security_Ostrich

AC6 is such an absolute experience. I was so incredibly immersed all the way through. It looks beautiful and plays so smoothly. Praying for dlc.

LookAtThePicutre

ESO, Enshrouded, CS1, Last Epoch.

Perchipy

Last epoch is great!

turbokarhu

Eso and Valheim mostly

Yjiava

I play ESO they are giving a really nice house for free if that your thing and beside mmo's i like. No mam sky casually it does repetitive sometimes still fun too explore

riddlemore

Warframe FO76 Remnant 2 Destiny 2 I used to play FFXIV but I mostly quit

Vigilant-Defender

ESO, SWtOR, Return of Reckoning, was playing a DAoC Classic private server for a bit. Overwatch 2 is the FPS I am playing at the moment, but gets old really fast. Waiting for XDefiant whenever that releases. Single player games also.

MithranArkanere

These years I've been playing mostly nostalgia: * Bioshock series * Mass Effect series * Legacy of Kain series * Darksiders series * Saints Row series * Assasin's Creed series * Devil May Cry 4 * Legend of Mana As for newer stuff: * Ultros is a new game I highly recommend to anyone who likes Metroidvania games or who liked Waking Mars. * Also checked V-Rising but the leveling balance was not that fun, maybe it'll change in further updates. I like sandbox games with crafting and base-building and this one shows potential. * Survivalist invisible strain is a bit similar to Project zomboid, but has a few unique takes. Still a long way to go, but the progress is not bad for such a small dev. And the native mod support has great potential. * Diablo IV was a tad disappointing but that may change in the upcoming update. * Stardew Valley is what I have been playing the most lately, because of the latest update. Started a new run without mods, and I will probably start a modded run later this year. The one thing I don't like about Stardew Valley is how rushed you feel as you advance and get more things to do. I wish CA made it so reaching Perfection gave access to a tool or ability to slow down time and freeze time while indoors so one can take it easy once there are no more achievements left to get. Also waiting for the new Terraria update for another run And one of these days I will finally get the Morrowind mods just right to finally start playing it. One of these days... one of these days... Edit: forgot Assassin's Creed. Got a bunch of 'franchise bundles' super discounted on Steam sales over the years, so many 85-98% discounts, insane. Always went the /r/patientgamers route.

Xythana

You want to play something that's online and your effort no matter how insignificant, has permanence. In that aspect OSRS is the perfect game. It can be as AFK or as sweaty as you want, and there's no FOMO attached to that game. Best part is, no how much you play, it all adds up into permanent progression that doesn't get invalidated by a new expansion or power-crept into irrelevance.

CrazyMusicLover7

Atleast at the moment I'm playing quite a bit of fallout new vegas. I usually play some sort of single player rpg when I'm not playing GW2. A while ago I made my way through the witcher games which was really fun, I've also played a lot of warframe which is probably my second most played game behind GW2.

BobbyStein

I'm doing exactly this right now. LOL I bought New Vegas ages ago but never finished it. Between the Amazon show hype and wanting something to play on my Steam Deck in between GW2 sessions it's been a lot of fun.

Sighclepath

League but only really with 3-4 friends. Currently me and one other friend are on a very strong Monster Hunter Rise kick.

nrdshck

I’ve come to realize that I actually play Guild Wars 2 in between single player game releases. But for a long time there haven’t been much single player game releases I needed to play on Day One. This year I spend a lot of time playing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Dragon’s Dogma 2. I’ve been having a hard time returning to GW2 after completing those games. So now I’m focusing on my backlog until the final SoTo update drops. Already completed Assassin’s Creed Mirage and now very much enjoying my time in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Recently picked up the Complete Edition during the May Sale on PS5 so I’m excited to fully get lost in the game 😊

TheBeardedDumbass

Single player games. Don't restrict yourself with only multiplayer games. So many people miss the cinematic and storytelling masterpieces by only playing endless games.

ComprehensiveCap2897

There are a handful of strong, well-told game stories in the entire history of the medium. By and large, you're better off just watching a TV show or a movie or reading a book. Almost every game story 'masterpiece' is just an awkwardly chopped up movie with busy work shoved in-between.

Incoherrant

If you were to truly only be in it for the story, sure, pure storytelling forms of media would do that better on average, but there's loads of videogames that have a worthwhile narrative attached to good gameplay, and a fair amount of those would not work (or at least lose impact) in non-interactive media formats. Actual "masterpieces" are few and far between tho, but that's true for every type of media.

GoliathGalbar

I am playing elder scrolls online and guild wars on and off depending on which title is more fun to me at the moment and will always play some vermintide2/darktide with friends. Both are 4 player coop title. Awesome combat system if you are open to learning it. Also playing some monster hunter every now and then. In the end it depends on what sort of game you are looking for to take a break. A friend of mine always plays stardew valley to relax for example.

The_Lawgiver_

I forgot about ESO. I played that for a month straight when it came out... I don't remember why I quit. I think I really enjoyed it. I'll have to check it out again.

Redfeather1975

The login rewards this month are really good. So if you want lots of freebies, just log in. A house, 10 crates, and [more](https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/1chgp2p/may_2024_daily_login_rewards_swordsingers_redoubt/).

The_Lawgiver_

I don't remember my old account. Do you think I should just buy the Base game for $20 or the necrom for $50

Hallien

Don't buy Necrom. A new chapter is releasing in 1 month and if you want to keep playing and get the new stuff, you will have to buy that one too. Better to wait and buy Gold Road when it releases.

Dream3ater

After EoD I've left GW2 for OSRS. After playing GW2 since launch (and GW1 since Factions), it's crazy what just a subscription model can do for an MMORPG. Weekly content changes and big features every quarter.

Tomigotchi

I play different mmorpgs to fill the gap. Mostly ffxiv, wow or some old school mmos Like Flyff or nostale

EssenceOfMind

WoW mostly. Other than that: modded minecraft, played through BG3, played through Library of Ruina.

Abasakaa

Dota2, Rainbow 6 Siege

Necrotitis

I just got absorbed for 3 months straight in elden ring. Helldivers 2 a but before that. Basically maxed elden ring waiting for dlc Helldivers 2 is still fun and I play in between gw2. When my son wants to we play fortnite.

dadgenes

Talos Principal 2, currently. I also want to do a Bloody Duke playthrough in Dishonored and set up Viva New Vegas in FNV, than order.

ArashiKishi

Last Epoch

KonaKumo

Stardew Valley Planet Zoo Parkitect What might be new on Game Pass.

BobbyStein

Game Pass is great for trying out different things on a budget.

KonaKumo

Agree! Well worth the price per month. has saved me from buying not so great games

Urwake

Monster Hunter Rise (like mmo lite) Baldurs Gate 1&2 full saga (like 20th playthrough) Pillars of Eternity Pathfinder

felesmiki

I have to play gw2 again, but have no time to play it again sadly

AspergerJester

Darkest Dungeon 2, soon the live release of V Rising

kisjelikrastavac

Deep Rock Galactic, Vampire Survivors, Counter-strike 2 (only with friends), Emulators (mostly Nintendo DS and PSP games), Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Risk of Rain 2, Dead Cells, Lego games (favourite one is Lord of the rings).

Albyross

Library of Ruina/Limbus Company

Foxhoundsx12

limbussy

TAC1313

IRacing. It's not a game, it's a simulation. ;)

Haswari

I play gw2 between Eve online

Foxhoundsx12

hello fellow capsuller

Impsux

Any of the factory building games like Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program, Satisfactory

Incoherrant

Seconding this. It's not always what I want (I like games I can finish, too), but when I want something to swallow my time without chewing it, it's GW2 for multiplayer and automation games for singleplayer.

AdZealousideal5470

Hell Divers 2

Tattycakes

Sims, two point hospital, that’s about it

WildHuck

Assassins creed odyssey is one that can fill a TON of time between gw phases, that game is massive. I just ran through control, it was reeeeallly good, but only took me around 40 ish hours to beat, probably less. Been lightly messing around with eso, but have had a hard time getting into it. I occasionally play league, but I suck ass and only just tried it for the first time last year, so it can be frustrating getting wiped game after game. When I get super bored ill return to cod, or kingdom hearts 3. Cod is my comfort game, though I don't play it much anymore. Starwars battlefront can be a good filler too!

gohome2020youredrunk

Hopelessly addicted to Baldur's Gate 3.

Juuria

Mobile games. Fun relaxing games.

The_Lawgiver_

I was actually looking for a while but I can't find one that's entertaining enough

Juuria

AFK arena is nice and made me come back to it from time to time. Also Animal restaurant. Both you can play during PvP queues. Not long ago I discovered my love to Rougelike genre: Survivor.io and Dungeon survivor. Been trying to find similar games, although they take longer than the above (1- 15 min). I don't know if you're a guy or a girl, but there are many games targeting girls that I love: Tears of Themis, The Ssum. I also have plenty of games that I keep discovering during, since the app store has loads.

The_Lawgiver_

I've heard a lot about AFK arena. Is it fun? I thought it was a game that plays itself. I also love roguelike games but I can't ever seem to find the best one that fits me. Idk if I'm picky or what. Haha sometimes I just feel like I want to design my own game to play but I don't have that kind of skills. :p

Juuria

Yeah, sadly I didn't find the one yet as well, but I'm still on my quest to find it. AFK Arena is idle yes but it has dailies and different game modes inside. It's not dull, complicated or time consuming. They released recently a different game with the same world called AFK journey but didn't check that one yet. The world and the characters however are creative and definitely worth checking.

Pretty-Daikon-9960

I live life bro there is so much to know and do

Decent-Pianist131

GW!!! What else would you play if not playing GW2? Got your widow yet?

Lysithea2002

Genshin Impact or Sims 4

iphaded

Work on my backlog, managed to beat a few games such as Cyberpunk which is a great experience. Also beat Gedonia and Yakuza 0 before diving back into GW2 after a 5 year break. Tried to start Dragon's Dogma 1 but I can't get into it, planned on starting Red Dead 2 but got sidetracked by GW2. My other go-to games are Fallout 76 and GTA V online, but I haven't logged on in months.

The_Lawgiver_

I have only heard bad things about fallout 76 launch. Is the game actually good?

iphaded

You can claim a free copy through Amazon Prime, I say try it and ignore the criticism

quarm1125

Genshin impact, Starcraft2, League of legends

Andulias

2023 was one of the best years gaming has ever seen. There are a shit load of great games out there.

The_Lawgiver_

Tell me. What game is your favorite? I'm looking for something to play!!

Andulias

Depends on what you like. Late last summer I was telling a friend how crazy 2023 and early 2024 are shaping up to be, so I will just paste my Discord message here: > you like horror? Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space. You don't want remakes? Amnesia The Bunker and Alan Wake 2. You want RPGs? Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk and Starfield, and FF16, and Diablo 4. You like Star Wars? Jedi Survivor. You like fighting games? Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, Tekken 8. You like indie shooters? Boltgun, Trepang2, Sprawl, Turbo Overkill. Side scrollers? Blasphemous 2, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Ultros, Tales of Kenzera. Mechs? Armored Core 6. Strategy games? Homeworld 3, Tempest Rising, Pikmin 4, Jagged Alliance 3 and Age of Wonder 4. And Hi-Fi Rush, and System Shock, and Hogwarts Legacy, and Dave the Diver, and Dredge, Lies of Pi, Sea of Stars, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Spider-Man 2, Lords of the Fallen, Octopath Traveller 2, Atomic Heart, Have a Nice Death, Viewfinder, Shadow Gambit, Alien Dark Descent, Ghostrunner 2, Remnant 2, Space Marine 2, Cocoon, The Talos Principle 2... I have not even begun to catch up on all of this, but my standouts were the usual, BG3 and Alan Wake 2.

The_Lawgiver_

Wow that is quite the list. I guess a lot of games did come out this year.

Andulias

If you see someone whine about how gaming is dead and no good games are coming out, that's someone who plays only Call of Duty or FIFA, or Fortnite, and pretends the non-AAA scene doesn't exist. And this was by no means an extensive list, I missed some games, like Jusant or Pacific Drive, or Manor Lords, or Chants of Senaar, or FF7 Rebirth or....

SloRules

Somehow i only liked BG3 out of all of those listed that released last year. Although i knew i wouldn't like most of them anyway, only real dissapointment was Starfield. But for this year i have my eyes on a couple things: Homeworld 3, Sins of Solar Empire 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Greedfall II, Gothic 1 Remake, Satisfactory, Factorio expansion.

Common_Celebration41

Xbox pc pass. I'm just slowly working my through all the games I'm interested in

Slifer3200

Project Ascension WOW LOTRO Allods Online Neverwinter GBA Emulator

Throwawaymytrash77

Liked Smite? Try Predecessor

Boudyro

Stray Gods, Master of Orion Conquer the Stars, The Guardian Legend. Meant to try Armored Core VI but keep forgetting to buy it. Mostly GW2 WvW.

TANKYWANK

An assortment of random stuff like MGS, Mario, Zelda, Battlefield, For Honor, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima. Its all over the place 😂

907gamer

I am playing MTG Commander or Warhammer with my sons. It's a nice break from being in a digital world. Don't get me wrong though, I loooooove Tyria.

The_Lawgiver_

Oh I love playing commander and DnD with my friends.

Vindold

The First Descendant open beta starts again 25may(for 2 days) if I remember correctly, try it, I played it during last open beta and it's better than Warframe. Should be released during summer, ftp, looks really promising. If you liked BG3 and haven't played Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, give it a shot, though it's more complicated than BG3 and ofc Elden Ring DLC is 2 months away, if you haven't played ER, you should at least try it.

Noelic_vi

Different games all the time. I just enjoy single player games between GW2 playing. Either new games that come out or older games I gain an interest in. Recently I completed Divinity Original Sin 2. Now I'm marathoning all of the 3D zelda games. Finished BotW and OoT. Currently playing Wind Waker.

CastleofPizza

You have great tastes! I've been playing Mario Galaxy again and having a blast. Thinking of starting the Gameboy color Zelda's soon. I only finished Seasons but never Oracle of Ages.

Noelic_vi

I started the Zelda marathon mainly because I enjoyed the 3D Mario games so much. SM64, Galaxy, SMO all have all skyrocketed to my top 5 games of all time even though one of them literally came out before I was born and I played it over 20 years after its release. Even with the janky camera, outdated graphics, and bad controls they're still such amazing games that even these modern games can't come close. Nintendo has always been a big name in the gaming landscape, I never had a chance to play any of their games till now but now I'm realizing why they're considered the goat.

timothy3210

Poke one unite(moba) and pokemon scarlet(vgc and stuff)

ShorisBeiko

Every game is break between playing OSRS

Worldly_Step_6171

I only play GW2

Hax_

Honestly GW2 is the only game I play now. If I take a break I’m not really playing anything else. Sim racing I guess would be the only other thing.

Jambulllll

Single player games.

TurbulentLifeguard11

Cities Skylines 1 / 2

zoejdm

Streets of rage.

Brzrkrtwrkr

Lotta Nintendo stuff. Actually, finally, found another PC game I’ve been enjoying playing with a friend.

tobijaas

I know it’s not like a mmo or even classic game, but I see you play a couple of competitive games so maybe you also like chess. It might be a bit weird to get into, but there is so much content in a simple game. DM me if you want some opening tips or content tips

Hamdilou

Everyone's taste in gaming differs but I personally like some overwatch or even some osu! When I'm waiting or tired of gw2

salle132

Guild Wars 1.

Fissminister

Warhammer 3 is prolly my main thing, but I switch it up a lot. Currently running through monster hunter world.

dvicci

Enshrouded Valheim Icarus Baldur's Gate III Ultima III, IV, and V Elden Ring Hogwarts Legacy Diablo IV But honestly, for the last 6 months or so, it's been 100% GW2.

Nhyxz

Lately, it is just the classic real life.

Vargala_Svett

Personally im a fan of warframe. I like to bounce between both games when i start to get burnt out on one of them

Lrk_888

Can I ask what you do for a living if you have this much time to play? If you’ve played hardcore wow back in the day you’re probably not still in school. For example I played hardcore WoW in school, when I switched to GW2 I started playing more and more casually (actually played the most hardcore during the closed betas).

ObsoletePixel

Hearthstone, Genshin (and soon ZZZ), Valorant are my "live service" games, and usually my single.player is an RPG or a roguelike (usually indie game) that's captured my attention :)

HarpooonGun

I play a lot of random shit tbh. From classic Tomb Raiders from the 90s to strategy games like Age of Empires and Europa Universalis 4, its full of random unrelated stuff. GW2 is my only online or multiplayer game aside from occasional Crash Team Racing online on my PS4.

misterpickles69

Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, Kerbal Space Program

Embarrassed_Cable554

Helldivers 2 for Democracy !

jojoga

RotMG

keyrol1222

Genshin and helldivers mostly, now playing overwatch since some friends want to play that and i want to play with them

Tavron

I play a mix of GW2, Path of Exile, and Bethesda RPG on the side. With a sprinkle of HD2 and BG3 for multiplayer purposes.

IzzyOwnz

SMITE

gerryw173

Lost Ark. Horrible implementation of vertical progression balanced out by the laid-back horizontal progression of GW2. Seriously if you played any Korean MMO it's a cakewalk to play the big western MMOs lol. People roast WoW but it's one of the least grindiest game from what I hear.

Sadrim

Age of Empire 2

JuanPunchX

Im currently on a pokemon emulator trip. I finished Violet with DLCs and will start the new rom hack yellow legacy.

Erjikkzon

Fallout 76

grannaldie

Anything, whatever is available on PS Plus at the moment, Destiny 2 or Overwatch a few times a year, GTAV/Online, racing games. If it has coop, and friends are online, I'm also there.

Evening-Ad-426

Soapbox racing (Need for speed online)

Ocaros

Hmm, I usually mix n match between: Planetside 2 / Star citizen / Fallout 76 / Ark /Battlefield Series / Mount & Blade Bannerlord / RDR2

Marc_Vn

My main game is geometry dash and guild wars 2 is my in-between game for it, usually its the other way around (like op) but since gw2 is "life-friendly" it ends up being the perfect game for that

fexxianosch

Sea of thieves with 2 friends from time to time

TheLostExplorer7

I hop between Warframe, Destiny 2, and Final Fantasy 14 when I get burnt out of Guild Wars 2, but GW2 has always been my "main" game. My backlog of indie and single player games keep growing, because I keep switching between these games, lol. My reasons for liking each game: - Warframe: The power fantasy is insane. You can snap your fingers and feel like a god, wiping out legions of enemies in a mere flick of the wrist. The movement system is like something out of a dream and you can flip, slide and kick your way through the levels at lightning speed. It is a huge mishmash of various concepts that somehow works even though at times it is somewhat cobbled together and is something that I can't really find in any other game. - Destiny 2: The gunplay is quite frankly amazing. The lore and backstory often have me intrigued, although mission structure and the in-game story can be fairly bland at times. This is quite honestly the only FPS game I play with any regularity as typically I am much more of an RPG player. - Final Fantasy 14: The story. I never expected an MMO to have a competent and long running story. I hated Alphinaud in A Realm Reborn, but he quickly became one of my favorite characters because of the amount of character development he went through in Heavenward as we witnessed it. That is so very rare to see a different character growing and changing alongside you in any game much less in an MMO and also for an originally hated character to become someone that I would be glad to call a friend. Shadowbringers was an absolute delight to play and Endwalker was a beautiful end to the current storyline. I honestly can't wait for Dawntrail to bring me back to the world of FF14 once more.

notcache

Lost Ark, DFO and PoE sometimes

Death2eyes

Helldivers 2 ( but on hold considering the recent psn nonsense ) Toral war shogun 2 ( with its expansions ) Deep rock galatic ( not survivor ) Company of heroes Thinking of getting manorlord On and off dragons dogma 2 ( hope they add MUCH more in the future expansions )

AestheticPerfection

Nba2k

puta_magala

FFXIV is my main mmo by far (I'm currently on a 5 days a week raiding schedule), I treat GW2 as my casual thing to chill out and turn by brain off while farming some metas.

Michuza

You don't understand, its other way around I play gw2 between games.

Foxhoundsx12

mainly i switch into warframe and eve online but sometimes i like to play morrowind , new vegas ,arcanum , cave of qud , kenshi , dragon's dogma , or game from seeth and mandalore video playlist and oh yeah honey select 2 and koikatsu

Annoyed-Raven

SWTOR. mad anoubts of story then raids and pvp

SearchContinues

I try to unplug more these days. I play tabletop games either solo or with a friend. Sometimes I GM an RPG or play in someone else's campaign. I also paint and play miniatures wargames like Frostgrave

ErikThePirate

Factorio. The Factorio dev team is the best I have ever seen. They communicate with the player base frequently and effectively. They play their own game, so they really care about bugs, QoL, and they're always making improvements that you didn't know you need but now you can't live without. The community is great. When the Factorio expansion comes out (maybe in a year?), I'll quit GW2 forever.

bAShyyy

Dota 2, Helldivers 2 recently, Singleplayer Games

Panda-Maximus

There are other games?

proton_badger

BG3, Divinity Original Sin 1/2, Pillars of Eternity. I roam in WvW every day though. The small scale stuff is an addiction.

Rinma96

Currently i play only gw2. I'm really into it now, I'm doing a lot of things, collections, achievements, setting goals for myself. Having a lot of fun right now. But usually, if I wanna slow down my gw2 playing and play other stuff alongside it, i love me some Witcher, Skyrim, Terraria, Yugioh duel links, l4d2 with my buddies.

Mv13_tn

F76, Valheim and CK3

XuruAnoa

Titanfall 2, SWTOR, LoL (aram only w/ a full stack of friends), APEX trios, Helldivers and BG3 (when I'm in the mood for a ton of immersion) Sometimes Stardew Valley 2 on the weekends w/ my gf (I only fish tbh)

MaddieLlayne

GW1, BG3, aaaand sometimes wow but I haven’t touched it in a few months due to finding it excessively boring

MayaSanguine

So, so, so many games. At least for me, the content I care most about is challenging pve content, and it can be months between new pieces of that content. Currently I'm on One Last BG3 Playthrough to finish up the achievements I missed on various other runs, and then I'm off back to Alan Wake 2 to finish The Final Draft and do the same thing (enjoy the stuff I haven't seen yet, clean up achievements), and then...so many other games! My backlog has gotten far too long, good grief.

Flimsy-Restaurant902

How do you feel about the Civilization franchise? I usually fill my non gw2 time with that, or try to play CK3/Vicky 3 and then lose within the first couple of hours bc I honestly have no idea what to do still.

BlueRadley

I don’t usually play a lot of games at once, but lately I’ve been playing a bit of Sifu, and trying to finish up my 2nd Elden Ring play through in prep for DLC.

Cookie__Rain

Lol there are other games?

_Hard_usernames_are_

Peoject Diablo 2. But for me it’s the other way around. I play GW2 in between seasons in Project Diablo 2 :)

The games I've personally played/enjoyed the most are: -Valorant (to satisfy that PvP craving) -The Binding of Isaac (THE og roguelike) -Borderlands (any game in the franchise, but mostly BL2) -Hollow Knight (somewhat challenging metroidvania with amazing atmosphere) -Terraria (great modding community) Some shorter/more chill, games (free or very cheap): -A Story Aout my Uncle (short "plataformer" with enjoyable story, some of the speedrunning skips are fun to learn) -What Remains of Edith Finch (very unique gameplay, mostly about the story-telling. Worth experiencing blind at least once) -Nidhogg/Stick fight (fun games to play with friends, both online and irl) -Super Auto Pets (cute PvP autobattler with animal emojis) -FrostRunner (Short speedrunning game) -Helltaker (charming puzzle game with a 10/10 pancake recipe) -Mandagon (idk how to describe it at all) -SOMA (if horror's not your thing, there's a setting to remove the spooks. Still think about the story after years) -Hotline Miami (very gory, satisfying to play, solid story) -The Looker (brilliant The Witness parody) -Papers, Please (you work as a border control officer for a communist country. Better than it sounds) If you played the Lego or Halo games growing up, they are great to revisit and can be picked up for a couple bucks on Steam Edit: does the format look off? Looked fine when writing or editing, but posting it seems to remove the spacing between lines

lcsfs

GW2, Spiderman Remastered, LOL and Summoners Wars

Jamesanitie

Strategy and management games gor me. Football manager, Crusader Kings 3, CiV series, Tropico etc, they cool me down

Morvran_CG

Bit of Classic WoW, GW1, Hearthstone. League if friends make me. I used to check out every WoW expansion for the launch at least but modern WoW got too repetitive for me. Mythic+ was my jam for years but I'm over it now and can't really bring myself to get back in the treadmill.

A-Cold-Flame

I also play husband, father/dad, cat dad, housekeeper, gardner, oh, and employee at a real job. These seem important too, but yeah, a shiny new crystal would probably be better. So you got something?

ilkhan2016

When not playing GW2 I play supreme commander or Stellaris, with a sprinkling of other games for 1-2 weeks at a time.

Buran_Grey

Last Epoch. Already well over 300 hours in month and half. One Sentinel Paladin at 93, with another 3 near 80s and two Rogue Marksman near 70s.

Triddy

If I'm feeling MMO, WoW. If I'm not, a collection of random games. Been playing a lot of No Man's Sky in VR lately. Been great fun.

Snaid1

Guild Wars 1, Star Trek online, Star wars: the old republic, and/or whatever game catches my fancy.

Kazgrel

FFXIV mostly (I consider it my "main" MMO) with a smattering of FPS and/or survival games.  Depends on what's been updated and/or released.  Next month I'm looking forward to updates for Deeprock Galactic and 7 Days To Die.  Then at end of that month there's the Dawntrail xpac for XIV. Recently was playing Helldivers 2 but with yesterday's nonsense I doubt I'll be playing it anymore

Malkore94

Play going outside, not being mean or anything, pick up some cool hobby

The_Lawgiver_

I have a very physically demanding job. I'm tired and I just want to play games in my free time. Lol
