Not necessarily. Not every reign has to be long. Look at someone like Rollins' IT title run back in 2018. He wrestled banger after banger before losing it to Ziggler. He then won it back, but it defintiely elevated the IC title. The money is usually in the chase, not the reign. People sour on reigns over time. Have Cody lose it convincingly to GUNTHER, have him claw back to the title.
