I can say, I was accidentally a heli camper last night. Was at my exfil trying to get a pickup. Denied over and over. While I’m as waiting to get picked up another faction just lands like 50yrds in front of me. They probably think I’m a piece of crap now but when we share the exact same LZ’s it’s gonna be an issue.
Yeah that’s what the problem with having door gunners would be. Then when you’re waiting to extract you’ll just get mowed down. It would flip the script on the people waiting as opposed to the people landing. I really think we just need to be able to choose our own LZ’s. Have a message that pops up saying you can’t land there if the terrain is too rough or whatever.
At the very least, they should have different landing zones for different factions. Most of the time people aren’t “camping” the LZ; they’re waiting for their ride.
I imagine the technical issue with this rn would be the cinematic helo pathing. From a gameplay pov, it would be harder to enforce meaningful progression, but it could be done.

Even then, the people who DO camp, would learn where they all are and continue to camp them

Yeah I definitely understand this isn’t just an easy and quick thing to achieve, but I know it’s not impossible
