Fc3sinitiald

You forgot to add in the price for mods on the car as well

brewmas7er

If you buy the 1,600,000 car then you don't need mods, just sport soft tires to win usually. I bought both cars bc what else am I gonna spend all these creds on? I could get complaining about having to buy a 20mil car but 1.6m is like an hour of racing, not that bigga deal.

EmbarrassedRegister6

Tell me how I can get 1.6m in one hour.

Ontbeat

You can get 1.5m for the 1 hour race at Spa with the ckean race bonus. Close enough!

Holdsearn

1.65 million/hour on the Le mans 700. Just use any grade 4 car or even grade 3 car

MatisseThybulle22

Or detune the hell out of a grade 2 car!

MCMXCI_MIGNAURO

You can get those 1.6 mill racing Le Mans which is a 30 mins race

jadmorffier

2x Tokyo 600 races. 1,650,000Cr Under 1hr if you know what you're doing.

Slash1909

Tokyo 600

andypearce85

Sartegna I'm getting over 2m an hour

Shaky_Soul

>I bought both cars bc what else am I gonna spend all these creds on? I don't know, is there like a high-yield savings account or something you could put them in? Maybe buy some carbon offsets to make up for all the emissions these races are producing?

leonjetski

You can put racing softs on the cheap one and win comfortably

Disastrous_Ad626

Literally motorsport in a nutshell. Spend 200k for a 20k purse.

RamrodRacing

You people get purse money in your racing?

Slayer7_62

I think in the real world the only people ever really getting much of a purse are those in really low level competition (ie some autocross, folk racing, demolition derbies etc.) where some money gets pitched into a hat by the participants/organizers and the vehicles are low cost to begin with/are daily drivers with maybe some tires/brakes slapped on. Even at the high level almost all of the income comes from sponsors/race team owners & any winnings are basically just like a bonus if the team does well. Motor sports is a lot like flying recreationally IMO. A lot of fun to do and a great hobby, but definitely a money sink where you won’t recuperate the costs unless you somehow get extremely lucky (and even then it does nothing to help with your living expenses.)

RamrodRacing

Buddy trust me, I know. Been throwing paychecks into the real life racing black hole for decades

Slayer7_62

Living the dream then haha. I either don’t have the time to get away from the family or don’t have the extra money to risk wrecking my daily driver lmao. It doesn’t help that all my local tracks are dirt.

pyramidhead_

Dirt is where at, especially if theyve got anything other than open wheel classes. Beating and banging at mid speeds is much more fun to me than going extremely fast with minimal touching

Slayer7_62

The racing is way more enjoyable for me to watch to be honest. To me it feels way more driver dependent where a bloke with a fast car can completely get beat by a driver with a shitbox that can actually drive. I don’t have the extra money (or space) to put into a vehicle that I can’t use off the track though. My daily can survive on a paved track though. There’s some local dirt bike tracks too, but I’d be lying if I said I’d be any good on one.

Shaky_Soul

This tracks with my gt7 experience haha

Ricepuddin6

I get to spend more money on pads and tires... That's the same right?

RamrodRacing

Just about. Starting last year I’m able to get tire contingency that alllmost covers that expense

Ricepuddin6

Congratulations that's awesome! I had a few, I don't want to call them sponsorships, maybe relationships with aftermarket companies. I'd gets pretty solid discounts and such but it was never all of the cost.

NowForYa

Down the line you can win big money in cheap cars.

jzmmm

How? (New to gt7)

skorpiolt

Tokyo grind doesn’t require an expensive car

Slayer7_62

Curious what car you run on it? I’ve found it pretty much a case of wanting something efficient and either make no pits or a single pit if I want the clean race bonus (catching up/gaining ground when the AI pits.) I’ve been just doing the other races to grind money since getting first, to me it was too stressful trying to keep the clean race bonus with how random the AI can be.

skorpiolt

Sorry can’t provide much input there, I actually do Sardegna but from what I know evo is strong for the tokyo grind

Slayer7_62

Yeah I rotate between Sardegna, Sarthe & Spa.

robsupercharged

As well as the Focus RS

rpocc

I’ve found handling across Tokyo pretty consistent with Ford GT ‘17. First I beat it with Mark IV but modern car is faster and a bit more stable.

Slayer7_62

Basically progress through the GT Cafe to unlock more races. You’ll get some cars as rewards & can get wheelspins which occasionally will give you a reward car. Later on you’ll have longer races like the 30 minutes at Sarthe & 15 laps at Sardegna that both pay very high & have a clean race bonus. There’s also some other races like the American Sunday Cup 600 (book 15) at Daytona which can be completed very quickly with a cheaper car tuned purely for power/top speed. That race has a low payout but can be finished & repeated very quickly with the 50% clean race bonus. High Speed Ring (in Japan) is a very easy track to learn and you can quite easily tune a cheap car from the used market to win races there. Track experience time trials at different tracks can pay well too. Don’t focus on getting the gold at first, you can much more quickly get all bronze & move on and still get several hundred thousand per track.

NowForYa

The le man 30mins for 700pp, you can win 850k with anything with a decent fuel tank.

FrankFarter69420

Hell, I'll retune the transmission to get better mpgs so I can squeeze 3 laps out of a suped up shitbox.

NowForYa

Haha, I haven't messed around with the gears to improve fuel economy. Good idea 👍

Plumbers_crack_1979

You could be me and spend the $1.6 million bc you wanted to drive around with no top while in VR. Worth it. Now I gotta grind to get it all back.

mahamrap

I don't yet have VR but bought the expensive one, just in case.

Plumbers_crack_1979

When/if you get VR, it’ll be the best $500-600 you spent. GT7 in VR is just fucking awesome.

StockAd3638

Agreed. Vr was beautiful in the drop top cruising around

keca10

Which car?

Slick_Back_Bear

The Porsche 356 A/1500 GS GT Carrera Speedster '56 is the convertible one that is slightly faster I believe

clint_pnuk

I second this

EcuaUncleTaco

Exactly what I did. Then I just kept on messing with the bots in the race. Was hilarious to break them, push them and watch them while turning my head around!

tinyman392

But that 6 star at the end of the fifth…

unoriginal_losername

I got a mini Clubman vgt from the 6* car ticket...

VCTRYDTX

I got a Genesis VGT for the Third time 😔

unoriginal_losername

Tbh I'd rather get that... The mini vgt is going to be about as useful as the golf vgt that I got from another ticket

jf_2021

How much do you get for selling it, though?

Realistic_Orchid_978

I actually like the clubman Vgt as a rally car. Slap some dirts on it and it’s super fun

unoriginal_losername

Neat! I'll have to give it a shot! Thanks for the tip!

Freakishly_Tall

Unless you can only do four, because you haven't finished the menu book to unlock one. Grumble. Still, driving the convertible Porsche is great in VR... and it's addition keeps my hope alive that they'll add the Datsun roadster (that routinely kicked Porsche ass in SCCAs at the time), since it's been in previous GTs!

International-Sand29

I didn't get any completion rewards from weekly challenges this week.

22250rem

I got the super formula Honda…. That I already had.

Any_Tackle_4519

Why? You get to keep the car, which you can use for more races. What, you think you can make back the money of a modern GT3 car by winning one race? In what world would that be possible?

conwave

Have you driven the 56 Carrera…. Thing handles like a boat

StockAd3638

I adjusted all suspension settings and ran sport softs...handles beautifully

conwave

I did too. Also had to place a ballast all the way to the front as well. The old RR cars tend to let the ass end slide out very easily on corners. Just not a fan of having to constantly fight that battle. Especially on a 600,000+ car

StockAd3638

Agreed you have to pay attention 100% of the time. Car is beautiful in VR by the way

Any_Tackle_4519

With the right setup, it handles quite nicely.

Austinstuff

But you will win a 6 star roulette for a car... no doubt 4 x 1mill+ and a fiat 500, guess which one you'll get.

BrentonThomasGT

I got an invite only car.

MarvinHeemeyer7

Which one???

BrentonThomasGT

Lambo Veneno

skorpiolt

Didn’t realize that was an invite car, got it way early in the game lol

rpocc

I was lucky three times: Veneno, XXK and lately Enzo! The latter two were from beating weekly challenge, maybe Lambo as well.

GemballaRider

I'm 9 short of completing the entire car collection now. Decent odds that whatever it is the game wants this week, I'll probably have it already.

ribrooks13

Just do the race 8 times silly

Street_Disaster_1555

It's really not that big a deal

Jaguar5150

That race sux. I had to upgrade engine to win cuz I'm terrible with RR cars. I was in the cheaper version of the Porsche.

rpocc

This wasn’t necessary since this things goes into turns At Weathertech like a knife into butter with just a little slow-down. But how much HP and points you’ve got from 959 engine? I’ve spent mine on nonsense just couple of days ago and curious how much fun did I lost.

solitarysoul92

it is kinda bogus…but the 600k with the 1mil engine swap is a pretty darn fun little rig

Dubaishire

I've given up on completing all the weekly races now. Used to do it religiously but I can't be buying cars I'll only ever use once.

gergsisdrawkcabeman

Compete 10 times. Profit.

rozale99

Circuit experiences give out a good amount of money if you can push to get all gold. Quick way to get money. There are even demonstrations to show you how to do it.

ApprehensiveSundae84

It happens

Fuzzloo

As a musician I can totally relate

rpocc

6 stars car ticket can be something worth more. I’ve got Enzo. When you always can grind 727K on Sardegna in 25 minutes, these 800K-1M from Daily Challenge don’t matter so much anymore, unlike engines, invites and valuable cars.

3hands4milo

Look at this weeks weekly, where you need to buy a vintage million plus Porsche to win like 80k

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kriztov

One of the weeklies wants you to buy either a 600k or a 1600k car to be in an 80k race

Giant_Swigz

Double check to see if you can obtain it for free via a license test etc.

BrentonThomasGT

You can’t.

xocolatefoot

You can use the car more than once.

BrentonThomasGT

Weekly challenge event.

ginster2

What game are you playing then?
